A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE!

    Around The Grounds!

    A sponsored walk.

Is anyone fit enough and has the time & the energy and the motivation to walk from Scunny to ground to ground to the finishing line of Bishop Stortford FC?

871 miles – the shortest route.

    The route is below.

I’m too old to do it, I’m way passed my best (lol).

I’m sure a sponsor would put the fundraiser/s up in Travelodge/Premier Inns on their epic journey.

    4mph x 8hrs a day and it’ll take the ‘super hero/es’ 30 days to complete.
    A gigantuan effort!

I’d be happy to donate £300 to the fundraiser – a tenner a day is a paltry sum for the effort the guys will be making.

    5,000 (donations) X £??? = Who knows!
Half a Million would be a nice target!

Additional Business sponsorship might see us achieve or even surpass that target figure.

    The Route:

    1) DN15 8, Scunthorpe
    2) Scarborough FC
    3) NE24 3, Blyth Spartans
    4) South Shields FC
    5) Spennymoor Town FC
    6) DLI5, Darlington
    7) Farsley Celtic FC
    8) OL7 9, Curzon Ashton FC
    9) Chorley FC
    10) Southport FC.
    11) Chester City FC
    12) Warrington Town FC
    13) Buxton FC
    14) Alfreton Town FC
    15) Tamworth FC
    16) Rushall Olympic FC
    17) HR4 9, Hereford FC
    18) GL2 5, Gloucester FC
    19) OX16 5, Banbury FC
    20) N13 7, Brackley
    21) PE1 3, Peterborough FC
    22) Boston United FC
    23) Kings Lynn FC
    24) CM23 5, Bishop’s Stortford FC

The Spartans were also founded in 1899.
    They have an 1899 Club:

    Iron 2-1 Pics

    My second revision:

    Iron 2-0 Pics

As poorly as we are playing, we should have more than enough to despatch these by a minimum of 2 goals.

If we don’t take all three points, then there’s something wrong!

Player power? Do they not respect / like plating for Jimbob?

Let’s see how we go tomorrow!

Well, we played our ‘get out of jail card’ and also our ‘joker’ in order to win that one.

Amberwarning issued, will the tangerines triumph or will we beat them claret & blue?

Numerical advantage finally shaded it for us.
Rico Browne’s dismissal for seeing red leaving some supporters in a purple haze.
We’re green with envy of Tamworth’s position, however things ain’t all black and hopefully there will be blue skies ahead.
Three points from a very drab, grey performance.
    UTI.

Let’s hope they emulate today’s performance and result on Tuesday.

Absolute tosh. Interviews are no different from earlier in the season when we were scoring for fun and raking in the points

His verbal dexterity has certainly improved since he first arrived at the club.
He’s being in football all his life… I don’t buy in to the ‘camera shy’ line.

All we want is a win and an unbeaten run to the end of the season – that may even see us go up as champions?

Will Tamworth lose a game during the run in?

Liam McDonald (39 later this month) is the man in the opposition technical area.

If Old McDonald gets the better of Jimbob today, will they be carting the Iron manager off to the funny farm?

    McDonald’s clubs as a player:
    Redditch
    Tamworth
    Kettering
    Barwell
    Halesowen
    Sutton C.
    Hednesford
    Worcester City

If he steers the former mining village team to a win at the AAA (Attis Attack Arena) they’ll give him a golden pick.

After watching Jimbob’s pregame ( v Rushall Olympic) thoughts, I think we are in trouble today.

He lacks confidence, is nervous, edgy, unsure of himself. He doesn’t inspire and is monotonal. He lacks belief.

    https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2024/february/-player-team-news-and-views-from-jimmy-dean-ahead-of-rushall-olympic-clash/

When we feel stress, the small capillaries on the skin surface tend to fill and cause redness and itchiness on the nose. Thus, we tend to rub the itch. Touching the nose is a pacifying behaviour to relieve stress.

Any sort of neck rubbing, hair playing, face touching, or hand fidgeting is a sign of subconscious nervousness.

    Folded arms…
    Expressionless face…
    Monotonal voice…

    We’re going to struggle!

    PLAY TO WIN!

    You only get 5 subs.
You need a keeper and at least 1 defender.

    Amended:
    Head: 1-1
    Heart: 1-0
    Gut: 0-1

They need a week recuperating at Club Tropicana!
    Heads are sheds!

With their new arrivals, our poor performances and neutered formation, I’m going back to my earlier predictions.

Tomorrow has now become a big game, a key game following Tuesday defeat.

Lots of recent ins & outs.

Ronan Maher joined 7 days ago from Walsall.
They seem to be taking young (18-21) uns on loan from the bigger guns much higher up the pyramid.
