Belehouan – Rene’s new Beck.
Guilty.
I’d seen enough in the pre-season clips to make my mind up.
Happy birthday to him today by the way.
However, he’s 25 and the die has cast & set – he’ll not iron out his ‘defects’
Sorry. I won’t criticise him negatively again… I’ve put my tuppenny ha’penny’s worth in. Nuff said.1 user thanked author for this post.
It appears the top clubs pay between £2,000 to £3,000 a week.
Let’s get him in then ;-)
I wonder what the top team in the Armenian Premier League are paying him a week?
Poor defending again.
Belehouan can’t jump.
Belehouan can’t defend (evidenced in previous games)
Waldron powered his way to the header and smashed it in. Who was marking & tracking him?
We need to improve massively at the back.
The more we see – the more transparent it becomes that Campbell is not the problem. When down to 10; I’d go:
In possession 2-4-3
Out possession 4-4-1It’s a sad day when your favourite player moves on.
Javi Moreno, age 28, now plying his trade in the Armenian Premier League.
He’s a CR10 type player – and has scored some worldies.Spanish rules (at our level) dictate that a club can only have 18 senior players on their books.
The signing of a couple of La Liaga players with 100 plus games each means that Javi has been squeezed out.I suppose the squad is being ‘upgraded’ in an attempt to gain promotion to La Liga 2 (formerly known as Secunda division).
He’s played four times for his new club scoring once.
He doesn’t look very happy playing for his new club. His smile is most certainly missing.
A sad(?) Javi Moreno scoring for his new club.
Well missed. Great player.
I believe his agents are AS1 Sports in London.
Scunny may be too cold for him… lol
How many mirrors have we broken? :-(
Gutted; like everyone else!
Are you one of the 37 listeners?
Hopefully they’ve being working on the following this week:
1) pressing
2) closing down quickly
3) tracking runners
4) winning first balls
5) winning second balls
6) deploying a guard for the GK at corners & free kicks
7) how to spot an overload and match up
8) being strong and not getting shoved out of play
9) reacting quickly within the six & 18 yard box
10) winning defensive headers
11) being first to the ballGood luck boys.
Let’s have a clean sheet.Brackley 1-3 Iron
Usual suspects for us: Howitzer, CR10, W’hallYup, happy with that starting line up. Full of goals!

What happened y’day?
How many mirrors have we broken? :-(
I wouldn’t object but do we need another winger / WM player?
Most seem to have desired a prickly CM?1 user thanked author for this post.
Campbell was in no mans land for the goal.
Kawa, the goal scorer shoves Boyce out of the game
.

.
Evans really is in no man’s land. Their 3 out muscle and out jump our 2 to head the ball back in to a central position.
.

.
Having pushed Boyce out of the game, Kawa turns and gets past our 2nd man, getting to the ball first and slotting home. Our two couldn’t cancel out their one!Evans a mere spectator.
Their Bray (ginger hair) also contests the race to score – if Kawa hadn’t, then he would have!
.

.
Terrible defending – again! Most are not lengthy ones so Butler said
Touch wood.
Halifax’s equaliser was dreadful defending once again.
We were 4 v 4 in the box when the ball went in.
We had a 2 (us) v 1 (them) at the near post area and a 2 (us) v 3 (them) at the far post area. Why?
From the footage… Evans seems to be in no man’s land. He appears to just watch the ball go past him. Could he not have reacted?
The scorer, Kawa pushes Boyce out of play and then gets back and past Belehouan (I believe) to pick up a free knock down header from Tarima.
Bray was also on the scene and would most likely have slotted home if Kawa hadn’t.
Pretty shocking defending to be honest.
View from about 9min 55sec to see their goal
2 v 1 near post
2 v 3 back post1 user thanked author for this post.
Good luck to Mark Beck and the rest of the boys on Saturday.
‘Planet Online is about as far back as I go – anyone use it even earlier, perhaps through military or academic use?’
Lol, Military use? Are you getting Bru mixed up with an armed forces recruitment site?
Covert operations, under cover scouting of SIS… secure intelligent striker.
A “did I say that out loud” moment?
He may think it – but as leader of the team, he shouldn’t really be saying it… unless he has the yea sayers backing.
BoD might be a little irked by the statement?
At times we all have negative or differing thoughts on formations, tactics, substitutions, starting line ups, penalty takers, player ratings, transfer targets, transfer signings etc – the stadium would be empty if everyone who held or had negative thoughts on any issue were censored.
It’s 2025; the internet has been around a long time now. In 1998, only 9% of UK households had internet – in 2020, that figure had increased to 96%
Nearly everyone who chooses to, has a voice.
Forums & user groups etc (connecting people) are the internet – I disfavour the huge multi levelled international .com type organisations who are controlling this ‘brave new world?’

The Sutton game [C&P from the MM thread]:
Subject: Maison Campbell
Charge: Flapping
Incident: Sutton’s 1st goal
Verdict: Not guiltyOur defence allowed their forward to get inside Mason’s shirt for the corner!
Why was no ‘guard’ deployed.
Surely it is routine to deploy an ‘enforcer’ to keep their spoiling/wrestling player from interfering with the keeper?
Deploy a shield – protect Mason!
We were 8 (Iron) v 6 (Sutton) in the box at the corner.
Why couldn’t the defenders organise themselves better? Not the first time this pre & season.
They ended up with a 3 v 1 overload at the back post when they scored – they bundled & battered our player out of the way and it was an easy header for their forward to score.
We’ve seen that happen before, as early as pre-season.
The back four plus others need to defend much better at corners & free kicks.
Take the blinkers off – see the bigger picture.
It’s easy to blame the GK – yet there’s chaos all around him at corners & free kicks.
Watch the highlights, pause the play, rewind the play, take photos… study what you see – it’s chaos.
Let’s see a ‘guard’ deployed to protect Mason at corners & free kicks in order to give him a chance to deal with what’s thrown at him.
Two thirds of the game with only 10 men.
Squad riddled with injuries.
Great point.
Undefeated.
Game in hand.Walking wounded considered im going for 1-1
Att 5,056 inc 367 awayMoney… as those Yanks yell.
As for their second goal.
Too easy to lay off, not tight enough and no challenge.
No urgency to close down the crosser.
No marking of the scorer.
Free header.
No one tracked the scorers run.
We had 8 players (not inc GK) in the box / D – they had 5.Verdict: Maison not guilty
Verdict: the outfield players, guilty of poor defence.Thoughts on the red card?
Personally, I thought it was an orange.Tangoed!
