The only person who will get Mr Butler sacked is Mr Butler.
In the prediction league I usually go for a win with the odd draw. Let us hope we want to win as opposed to stopping them from winning.
As ever i wish AB and the team all the best but i picked up on his comment 1 min into the vid on the club website in which he said we focus first and foremost on stopping their (Alfreton) threat .. now surely being at home we should be set up to attack and play on the front foot and impose our game on them not being negative and focus on stopping them ..lets make them sing to our tune at AAGP not vice versa.
This negative approach could well be ABs down fall if things go badly in the coming games .. IMO this has got an away win written all over it hence my 2-1 loss prediction.
Its very very tight at the top and we could well be in the play off places or worse before Xmas with teams around us with games in hand so this Saturday is a massive fixture .. in fact a must win so im crossing everything including my ears hoping im wrong and its a home win

I stopped listening to pre @ post a fair while ago. However, IFA lured me in to enduring the latest.
Butler harping on about the clean sheets, stating it’s 12 (“I think”) for the season… Stan, it’s 13!
Individual errors.
Would you not be miffed if your gaffer undervalued you by 8% ?Interesting to note that we’ve scored one goal or less in 11 of our 23 games this season!
We may have the best goal difference in the league but when the going gets tough, we struggle to score.
“Player management group” – I wonder if Ferguson had one ( lol ).
Sounds as if it’ll be a difficult game on Saturday.
4-0 to the Iron with 2 from Beck
Banjo Beck … 0 from 3
Small pitch.
As an away manager I’d go 4-2-4 and get it from back to front as quick as!
Pressure = mistakes = goals. If the fans have any control over the club, keep him out of your club.
Just my opinion.
Agree ..Hilton should be avoided like a turd in the local swimming baths.
“Wham cRap” – he’s a “Bad Boy”.
He’ll tell you, “I’m Your Man” – but all he wants is your “Credit Card Baby”
“Come On” guys – “Battle-stations”.
Playing 4-4-2 should have given us more space and Darlo less.
It didn’t.
Why not?Could it be anything to do with the lad who played left midfield for Turin in the late 1750s and 1760s, Joseph-Louis Lagrange?
Weds 27th November 2024.
Still favourites:Scunthorpe 3/1
Kidderminster 9/2
Chorley 5/1
Curzon Ashton 6/1
Chester 10/1
Kings Lynn 10/1Could be wrong but pretty sure I heard Butler saying pre-match there’s a real prospect of part time next season without promotion. So whoever said that last week (which I questioned) sounds like you could be right.

<strong class=”d4pbbc-bold”>From the Head of Recruitment thread:Does a 2nd tier non-league team actually need a Head of Recruitment?
How many other teams in this league have one?
Is it a waste of £50k a year?
Surely Stan (Butler) & Jack (Schofield) have enough contacts within the game and desperate players seeking trials?
If the HoR ‘finds’ five players a season then that works out at £10k a player.
Seems we’re trying to desperately cling to our ‘professional’ status and haven’t accepted our fate and faced the facts.
We’re non-league and looking as if we’ll be grounded in this league for a while.
Stagnation will see gates fall and ultimately we will go part-time like the rest.
Speculate to accumulate… blah, blah, blah.
Money for old rope, clutching at straws.
Successful recruitment in industry is poor – with only a 30% success rate.
Football tends to be even worse.
I’ve looked at the top 4 teams – 2 have HoR, 2 don’t… I’m guessing that there will be more teams without HoRs than with?
I’m Sure Many Other Forumistas Have Also Said The Same or Similar

A decent friendly chap.
Let’s end it on a high.
Eureka!
We could do with the Darlo game to be on in order to get the wheels turning and build some momentum. A few wins will be a confidence infusion.

Consistency – there’s very little in this league. Apart from say the bottom 6 teams, anyone can beat anyone.
Let’s hope that he’s seen the light!
Let’s hope we’re the first to scalp them at home!
Didn’t Stan sign a 2 year contract?
Crystal ball time.
We aren’t promoted this season – will he still be in the saddle in Sept of the 2025/26 season?
Stats say 2-1
I’ll probably have a fiver on 3-0 and a fiver on 3-1
That’s the head.The heart hopes for a sneaky 0-1
Blip – morphed in to a blob.
Is the blip sustainable.
Sounds as if Turnbullgate is purely a cost cutting exercise.
Inexperienced staff, inexperienced manager, inexperienced directors… it doesn’t bode well.4 decades as an MP – that’s why…

Yeah, promotion and a modicum of success would be a real downer… lol
Alexander was doing well, then…
It’s been downhill ever since.
Fair point.

Premier & Championship clubs now enter the fray.
Harrogate are at home to WBA.
I note that since 2021, the final is now a one off game. Covid influenced?
Good to see Chelsea’s stranglehold finally ending.

Leamington Radio CommentaryTrinity’s goal against Chester last Saturday started from a Chester corner.
I’ve always thought leaving two up top for the opposition’s corners is a good tactic – they have to leave 3 players back to cover.
One high (half way line) & left, the other high & right – Gainsborough executed the counter swiftly and effectively last Saturday.
Well done Russ & the Trinity lads!1 user thanked author for this post.
