CR10 gets our third.
Smashing it!
Oh Danny Boy!
Go get another kiddo!
Trick… hat-trick – go for it Dan!
I’m not partial to this commentator today.
Can you believe what you are seeing?
Iron 8/11
Draw 12/5
M’pies 16/5
(@ 90 mins)There are more contributory factors than an onion has layers.
However:
1 NLN goal in x,xxx minutes was a contributing factor.
People are lamenting the large amount of drawn games – if he’d notched his fair share (an average strikers, average ratio) then I’d hazard a guess that we’d have finished the season as champions.
No team can have a non scoring striker.
A non scoring striker is struck.
Sadly… we’ve got another season to endure with him.
It’s obvious Stan has no faith in him – £1,500 a week and benched!
Too many sideshows off the field have cost the club the championship in my opinion.
Removing Lee Turnbull.
Appointing a new CEO.
Creating Unity.
Signing Beck
FC100000.
Sacking the catering person.
Sacking the club shop supplier.
Keeping Ramus Twat on the scene.
Stadium Weekender.
All these made people take their eye off the real goal in automatic promotion.
I would be looking extremely hard at the reasons behind many of these decisions and the person who initiated them.
It’s all Beck’s fault.
Heard they’re considering changing it to just a one dayer on the Sunday, due to poor sales.
Time will tell.We did say.
2nd Nov Chorley 2-1 KLT
5th Apr KLT 0-0 ChorleyI’ll go:
0-0 @ 90 mins
1-1 @ 120 mins.
Chorley 5-3 KLT pens.I’ve looked on DAZN site and can’t see any NLN play offs scheduled for streaming. Am I looking in the wrong place.
Download the app. Click on schedule.
He’s 35 in June. Is that him finished now?
If we don’t go up, it’ll be the fans retained list that counts.
That is, those that will be purchasing a season ticket and those POTD punters.
I think attendances are bound to dip if we’re still in NLN next season.
I’d guess they will be 750 to a 1,000 less if we aren’t in the NL.There may be a bit of a drop off – and hopefully if we go up there’ll be an increase
Hasn’t history demonstrated that attendances are dictated by results and league position more than which division we’re in (the ceiling reached at Championship level for instance)?
I think Rene’s projected decrease in general terms is a bit drastic. Depending where we are in NLN (if that’s the case).I wouldn’t anticipate such a huge drop off.
I just think that the ‘novelty’ factor of the NLN will have well and truly worn off if we are playing in it next season.
A reduced playing budget will probably result in players of an even lesser ability than those on the books now.
This will probably mean that we are one of many in with a chance / hope of promotion rather than ‘nailed on certs’ (Oops!)
It could well be Captain Pugwashesque rather than HM Piss The League next season.
That’s why I think we will see shrinkage. If we don’t go up, it’ll be the fans retained list that counts.

I’d guess they will be 750 to a 1,000 less if we aren’t in the NL.Congratulations to Brackley.
I hope they consolidate next season and remain in the NL.Bloody knife edge for 2nd.
A goal to Bulls or one for Kiddy and we slip back to third.
Pass me another beer.Oh Jesus. Farsley down to ten players as Ollie says.
Chorley are now 1-1 Ollie.
As Ollie says – Brackley are 1-0 up.
Darlo & Marine are both 1-0 up already.
If no Iron miracle, then I hope Brackley go up automatically rather than Kiddy ..
Seconded.
Marry in haste, repent at leisure.
I had a dream / nightmare last night – all my teeth fell out.
Back to the reality of the morn.
Pope’s deceased.
My teeth are still all in my head.
We must beat Hereford.
Kiddy must lose.
Farsley have to not lose.Enjoy your day, the beer and the sun!
We at Ilkeston are realistic, we are a football club in a small town sandwiched between two massive clubs (Forest and Derby),
most of our fans are season ticket holders at the 2 big clubs and watch us when their team is away,
David Hilton aspires to be at a higher level than possible at Ilkeston,
Matlock have no competion for fans and have far better average attendances than us,
so this may be his reason thinking he could go further than possible with Ilkeston?…
Ilkeston average attendance = 615
Matlock average attendance = 869Ilkeston population = 38,735
Matlock population = 11,986Matlock to Chesterfield 9 miles
Matlock to Mansfield 18 miles
Matlock to Sheff Utd 20 miles
Matlock to Sheff Weds 24 milesIlkeston to derby 10 miles
Ilkeston to forest 12 milesOn average, Matlock are attracting 7.25% of the towns population to their fixtures. That’s a cracking figure!
With a population of only 12,000 and an already high engagement – there would seem to be limited scope for Matlock Town to progress to the higher echelons of English football.
If you wanted to watch EFL football then Chezzy is even closer than what Derby & Forest are to Ilkeston.
Championship football can be observed a mere 20 miles away at the Steel City clubs.
Sorry… but I don’t buy the thesis.
Bury… failed
Scunthorpe… failed
Matlock… ?For one of the others to share Matlock’s ground or for Matlock to play at one of the others?
Guessing it’ll be for Matlock to play elsewhere.
Stick 20 or 30 new builds up where the ground ‘was’?
