Named our daughter Lindsey.
When she was a teenager I told her that the decision had been swayed by dad’s allegiance to a certain club.
In a true teenager huff she complained that she was the only one of her circle named after a football team.
I pointed out that she had a friend called Alexandra!

One of my favourite places is the Campo di Fiori in Rome. In the centre is a statue of Giordano Bruno, a monk who was burnt alive here in 1600. He had dared to suggest that the Earth orbited the Sun and not vice-versa.
Perhaps this is a 21st century equivalent?

My Chester mate is away in South Africa so no updates from him. He’ll be delighted when he returns, although equally pissed off that Willoughby* has gone to Oldham.
