Wearing the number 99 shirt!
Jimmy is falling into the Wilcox trap. Don’t lose and you win the league.
Didn’t work then and isn’t working now.
Did work then. The problem is that there’s only one automatic promotion spot in this league!
Apparently there’s a carvery double in the restaurant this weekend!
Just in time to face his former club tomorrow!
No worries, he’ll be back to part-time next season!
Thought this was about inflatables for the next “family fun day”!
At the level we find ourselves at we probably have to gamble on these types of players in order to get a bit of quality in the squad.
Butterfield arrived with a similar reputation but so far (touch wood) we got the best out of him.
Win some, lose some!
Prefer it when he does his Pub Landlord routine!
Find it strange that Tamworth are odds on. Would have thought evens more realistic.

Yeah, my lad and I were driving down but we hadn’t reached the A19 when it was announced on the radio.
Must have been well over an hour before Kickoff though.
My son reckons they wanted to get the clubhouse full of punters buying food and drinks before calling it off!

I had been watching both the SUFC & DFC websites all afternoon. I’d also been studying the weather apps.
The heavy rain was due to clear the NE around 18:00. The wind was still a problem but if anything that would help dry out the pitch.
As others will confirm at the time most fans were arriving it was just light drizzle.
Therefore I find it hard to believe that the pitch was in a worse condition at 19:15 than it was at 18:00! And it would have been far worse at 16:00 when it was hammering it down.
When the stewards told us it was off our first thought was structural damage until he said it was standing water.
From the Darlo report it sounds like the managers and players didn’t fancy it either. The conspiracy theories continue!!!
By the time his three match ban is over Whitehall will have forgotten what a football looks like!
The University of Life?
I thought there was already a nursery at the back of the Donny Rd End?

Crazy!
Some of the other North East clubs called off much earlier
The Heed cancelled at 3:30pm. Shields and Spartans both went ahead!
No real logic there!
Why didn’t a club official or local referee/FA representative have a look at 16:00?

So you believe no one set foot on the turf until 7:15?
Give over!
Weather was better than at 3:15 when Gateshead’s game was called off.
Was that you leaning against the barrier with a tray of chips Fansy?
Arrived ar ground to be told game is off. Ref made the call at 7:30!!!
WTF!
Wrexham and Notts promoted from the NL last season are more than holding their own in EFL L2.
The NL is stronger then many people think. Arguably stronger than L2!
Was at their only previous home victory this season, 3-2 vs Chester.
However Chester’s bus had a blow-out on the M62 and the team arrived late. Darlo’s opener was a freak goal and they narrowly survived s late onslaught.
So on past form we shouldn’t lose, but as others have said it would be typical of us to give them their second home win.
Smith gone back to Hearts, Whitehall, Butterfield and Law still out.
0-0?
BTW In 53 years of watching the Iron at Darlington I have never seen us win there (Feethams or the Reynolds Arena). Could this be my hat-trick of grounds?
Very much “of the time”. Bought Parallel Lines back in the day.
Find their/her recent performances quite embarrassing however.
Probably need to get rid of those Fujitsu computers!
My last payment (20.12.23) had FC Motherwell on it!
Walsall put the Hollywood Goats to the sword in their previous game, so it’s hardly the end of the world!
“Would you want your 8 / 9 year old son travelling for up to 2 hours to a game where they may only actually play for 30 minutes?
Then, a 2 hour return trip.”Pretty much did that for my lad 25 years ago.
90 minutes journey from here to Berwick when he played in the Colts League.
I think that Michelle knows better than any of us. She hasn’t put a foot wrong so far, so give her your full support.
Awaywego give a woman the benefit of doubt????
Unless it’s one of his New Year Resolutions!
“As parents, you’ll waste a small fortune ferrying little Johnny here, there and everywhere.
The odds on your lad being a Beckham are probably 0.000001% (1 in a million)
Of being a Messi or Ronaldo probably 0.0000001%”So what!
Perhaps they enjoy it and get something out of it apart from money. You know, like physical fitness, friendships and performing as part of a team.
Not everyone who joins a band sells a million records. Not everyone who treads the boards ends up as the next Ken Brannagh.
Not all about chasing the filthy lucre.
