Perhaps we shouldn’t bother training at all.

Just let the captain “pick-up” at 2:30pm and go out and let them do their thing.

Can’t be any worse surely? And Swann would save a shit-load of money on coaching staff. Enough to buy a real Aston Martin for his 007 bar!

    Okay. Had enough.
    Give him two more games.

We gave him 46 last season!

I even had a suspicion Vanilla had set up to counter Lewandowski.

That had crossed my mind too! And to be fair it worked for 90 minutes.

Also the tendency to throw teenagers into the mix before they’re fully cooked.

I-A, I’d agree Southgate has been one of the most successful England managers. His record speaks for itself. However, I think he still lacks that extra something that will take the team over the finishing line.

I know it was mentioned several times during the Euros but Cox and Southgate seem to have the same corporate manual.

Watching the Poland game on Wednesday and a number of similarities sprang to mind. The difference being of course, that Southgate can pick from the cream of English talent, whereas Cox is left with the bargain bucket at the end of the summer sales.

Basically six defenders and four others left to play where they want. Slow build up from the back, so once the forwards have the ball the opposition have got back in numbers, and the ball goes backwards again.

Keeping a tight defence, going ahead but failing to add a second, and conceding an equaliser in added time.

We’re fine against the Andorras and San Marinos, but against a decent team if we don’t get that second goal it can go tits-up, just like in the Euros Final.

Cox has to start getting goals from his players. Can’t remember when we scored more than one in a game!

Cox didn’t promise attacking football either, only said that’s what he would like to achieve or how we would play

If someone you knew said “I’d like to lose weight”, but did nothing about it and in fact put on more weight, then you’d question their sincerity and their ability to follow it through.

As soon as you make a public statement then the public hold you to it.

If you don’t it’s at best a lack of ambition, and worse a broken promise.

Awaywego, Pat & Alky all have valid points.

But the overriding issue is that that things have not only got worse but they are continuing to worsen.

If the club can’t see this with their own eyes then I doubt if having a fans panel will make a difference.

I am willing to be proved wrong but won’t be holding my breath.

Had the two deadline day loans been a forward and a winger, I suspect we’d not be having this conversation.

Am I right that the only 1 of those 3 goals which has cost us points is the Sutton equaliser?

On the flip side, we picked up a point in the 90th minute against Walsall, so not all bad.

    Indeed.

So 2pts dropped v Sutton and 1pt gained v Walsall.

Some will argue we’ve dropped twice as many as we’ve gained.

But as WG points out, the critical stat is the 1 win in 17.

Not good whatever way you look at it.

So far this season we’ve conceded three times in the last 15 minutes. Only Mansfield have conceded the same number (3) and no team has conceded more.

6/24 teams have conceded zero late goals.

On that basis we are not that great at keeping out the opposition late on, but six games is not much of a sample.

A week ago posters were bigging up the team’s togetherness and battling qualities and praising Cox for this.

For whatever reason he drops two players who had performed well last time out and replaces them with two loans who had only just entered the building.

So I’m wondering if this had a destabilising effect on the lineup?

Got the team selection and tactics wrong yesterday IMO.

fair dos at home but not in a country with theres a record of racist and homophobic views,
