Didn’t Swann say he would be starting work in a month on the ground? the slip road?
Perhaps this is why he’s not attending.
Waiting until the new road is built so he can “slip” away unnoticed once the supporters start baying for blood!

Didn’t he sack Laws after losing in the first round of the FA Cup to a local rival?
Was at York City’s new LNER Community Stadium last weekend.
Within the complex is – a swimming pool, bowling alley, amusements/soft play area, bar/restaurant, cub shops for both YCFC & York Knights RLFC, library and NHS teaching unit, as well as retail units still to be let out. Adjacent are a sports hall and a number of 4G pitches available for public use.
And that’s National League North! No doubt this is what was envisaged for the Lakes site. This is what will attract the public. Not an old stadium with a wash and brush-up and a few apartments.
Instead of starting low and aiming high Swann has done the opposite. And after falling out with the local council a “community stadium” in Scunthorpe is not very likely.
Get your thinking cap on Peter!
On another topic I’ve seen Deadpool at more games than our own superhero chairman (insert suggestion for name)
Bartonscorpion?
Probably got you down as “likely to have passed away before we get round to doing anything”.

You mean they’re either refurbished or flat!
We didn’t.
Undisclosed fee set by tribunal.
Great work Matt.
Any fix that puts me top of the league gets the thumbs up!
I did get the shirt I voted for.
I think you’ve put a “r” in there by mistake!

Doesn’t our Pootle live there?
Is this Swann’s promised questionnaire?
At least they weren’t blaming Covid!

It makes the decision to bring in Wood and Hackney on deadline day even more baffling!

All the fault of Covid!

I don’t quite know how it’s happened but he’s morphed somehow into a “much, much younger” Paul Musselwhite.
Match practice?
He’s probably seen more of the ball than any other player this season.
if this happened to Scunny, would you support the club in lets say the same league as Brigg Town, I very much doubt it!!!
What a strange comment!
It would at least be “our” club once more.

Well I was in a crowd of 3,146 at the LNER Community Stadium in York
So a thousand more for a National League North match! I notice Notts County v Stockport County drew over 7,400 supporters and there were 6,470 at Blundell Park.
Yet Forest Green who are top of the league had a similar gate to us!
Traditional fan base size? Product on offer? Position in league?
Doesn’t seem to be any one factor. More a combination of things.
At York’s new ground yesterday the community spirit was ver much in evidence. Something I feel has been lacking at Scunthorpe lately.

So basically we won despite Cox, not because of him?

I’m completely mad! Off to York City v Chester.
See what National League North is like for future reference.
PV 2-0 CU

SU 0-1 CTCan’t do it on my iPhone!
no offence but who would want to work under swann!!!
They won’t have to work under him as he’s never there these days.

From a CAFC supporters group: –
“It’s a shame as he was a good man who came in with good intentions and started off really well.
But this season has started off poorly and just got progressively worse.
We know he was disappointed with how the transfer window went this summer. The club acted too late and didn’t really have a pre-season behind them, and the inability to put a settled side out in terms of fitness set Charlton back a bit.”
Hmm! Sounds familiar.

Under normal circumstances I’d have said, don’t go down that road.
But desperate times call for desperate measures. Ideal timing and probably one of the few appointments that would boost attendances.
We must be around 1,500 down on gates since before Covid so Swann is losing £25-30,000 every home game.
The appointment would pay for itself.

You must have a spare quid lying around Alcy!
That’ll be Robert Di Niro then, seeing as how violins didn’t exist before the Renaissance!
Who are Bury?

From the 73rd minute to the final whistle Barrow had a further 12 and us 1 !!
A statistic far from being unique to last night’s game.
Happens every week. Well probably not every week. Teams don’t need to go for it if they’re already 4-0 up after 73 minutes!

No! But Henry VIII was shagging Jane Seymour whilst Ann Boylen was having her head cut off!
