We will probably keep the ones the supporters are not fussed if they stay or go, but probably the ones we would like to keep will go.

It wouldn’t be so bad if it kept you logged in.
Club survives a pandemic. Team retains its EFL status.
Just like the other 72 EFL clubs have survived Covid.
You’re as bad as Swann. Maybe you are Swann!
reminds me of the song.
There once was an ugly duckling
With feathers all stubby and brown
And the other birds said in so many wordsGet out of town
Get out, get out, get out of town
And he went with a quack and a waddle and a quack
In a flurry of eiderdownThat poor little ugly duckling
Went wandering far and near
But at every place they said to his face
Now get out, get out, get out of here
And he went with a quack and a waddle and a quackAnd a very unhappy tear
All through the wintertime he hid himself away
Ashamed to show his face, afraid of what others might say
All through the winter in his lonely clump of wheat
Till a flock of swans spied him there and very soon agreedYou’re a very fine swan indeed!
A swan? Me a swan? Ah, go on!
And he said yes, you’re a swan
Take a look at yourself in the lake and you’ll see
And he looked, and he saw, and he said
I am a swan! Whee!1 user thanked author for this post.
Get Muzzy, Crozzer, Bara and Torps out of retirement, with Beagrie and Cleveland on the wing and Haysie and Keogh upfront we will walk it.

For one thing it will be very difficult for it being worse next season.

Barrow winning for the time being.
A, glutton for punishment
B, whyThe defending is as bad as the scoring Cass.
Glad to see were not having a social media boycott like the players,
I thought they started that weeks ago on the pitch.

Cass, can we actually get more defensive.
He hasn’t been the same since his short spell at Sunderland.

Embarrassing how we have performed this last few games, a massive clear out needed and the mystery is how we have 47 points, we certainly need to let the shackles off the last 2 games because this negative approach isn’t working and playing some attacking football cannot do any worse, it’s not impossible not to get relegated but can’t see Southend overturning 8 goals, but if Cox is here next season he has got to stop over thinking games and start entertaining.
Seeing we are playing with 2 full backs and 3 centre backs we can all guess.
Looks like we are playing 5 at the back looking for a 0-0 draw.
I’ve got to admit I am not trying to think about it because it is making me nervous, I have said for weeks we are relying on other teams and this has gone on for a few years now with players giving up in the last 3 months, so a lot of this has to be put down to the Chairman and I guess a lot to do with new contracts, it came to light with the Dawson / Bishop dip in form in one of the failed promotion bids and has just carried on.

April 25, 2021 at 10:26 am in reply to: At what point do we consider the manager is the problem? #205427I can’t understand why Karacan didn’t start yesterday, the game should have been targeted for a must win but midfield was too defensive and after they scored the first goal the team then gave up.
Neil does swap the team about too much even if it is not through injuries, but I have not seen another team get injuries like we do.it’s not what money has been spent, it’s how it has been spent, look at Accrington how they have built a team with little income, and even in this division the number of teams that have decent teams who don’t have nowhere the budget that we have had, we have too big a squad with most not league standard, we have a u23 squad with a manager and possible too many coaches if you include the youth team when they could possibly merge together.

certainly by this seasons recruitment standards.
If Neil likes playing exciting attacking football, I wouldn’t like to see his negative boring style.
He told me the other week he hadn’t nothing to do with any of the signings and wouldn’t have recommended most of them.

I bet Lee Turnbull is laughing his bo***x off.
The performance today was one of the most gutless efforts I have seen for a long time, nobody earned their money today and to have another game without a shot on target is unacceptable, there was no motivation on or off the pitch today, I can’t fathom out the tactics but it’s certainly designed to spend as much time as possible in our penalty area and not to attack the other end, we are now relying on Exeter, Port Vale or Cambridge to take a minimum of 2 points off Grimsby and we don’t get big defeats from our last 3 games.

Can you imagine it being called The Coolsilk Stadium
I think Mike White said yesterday that Peter Swann was going to do a video interview with him today.
Matt about time for another Chairman Podcast.
Certainly since we lost to Rotherham in the playoffs three years ago the club have gone totally backwards, whether the chairman has lost a lot of interest or it’s the failed new ground I have no idea but it certainly isn’t the best time to support the club.
over the last three years we have had 20% of good signings, 40% of average signings and 40% of awful signings and two years ago those last fourteen games which yielded six points will haunt us supporters for years, this year has been a joke with the summer recruitments, it was a good job we brought Howard, Karacan and Taft in or we would be at the bottom well adrift, like last season we have had numerous injuries and players have been brought back early because of injuries and then they break down again, generally we have a big squad and over 50% aren’t league standard and we need to get rid of these players who need non league football to progress.
three or four players have come through the u23s but with the number of players who won’t make it and the cost have having a manager to run it and extra coaches I wonder if it is too costly to run at the first teams expense, and to me starting the u23s was when we went downhill, regarding this season I think we will creep over the line but if we had two or three games more I think we would struggle and you start thinking of two years ago.
But regarding this season I think it’s the most boring football I have seen for years and tactically it’s been awful for most of the games, we hardly have a shot at goal and give goals away too easily, especially from free kicks and corners, four games this season we haven’t even had a shot at goal on target and two of these games were at home, the only good thing about the season is we haven’t had to sit in the cold watching it.
Will next season be better, I don’t know but it can’t get much worse.
Can Neil Cox improve things, I don’t know but I want him to get a team that plays attacking football rather than sitting back and hoping for breakaways, so tactically he needs to improve things or nobody will be going back to watch.
Sounds like Cox wasn’t too impressed with players who leaving and some who will still be here.
but we seem to change the center half pairings every game through either one been unfit or brought back too soon, all 5 have had problems and when was the last time the same two played together.
les I wasn’t being harsh I was just stating fact, everyone knows Rory has played well this last few games but the players in front of him are not, whether it is all the swapping about with injuries I don’t know but the defence don’t look the same without Howard there.

“WATSN—7—Stopped this from being an even worse hammering.good job no Howard !!”
is it just coincidence BS, but since Rory got back in goal we are conceding at least twice as many goals a game, 12 in 5 inc a clean sheet, Howard had conceded 36 in the previous 31 games, he might be playing decent himself but he doesn’t inspire the defence in front of him, Howard organizes them better.

bloody hell I was amazed we had drawn two.

So that’s a fourth game without a shot on target, one shot off target and 2 corners, all in the first half, not good enough, you have off days but now it is every game.
