The negativity is relentless both here and on social media. It is of no use to us as we await the new preseason and the season to come.
I’m hopeful that our new Chairman is true to his word. That the previous poss tot relinquishes his grip on the stadium and the surrounding land. That we have a great preseason and start the new season back with a bang!

Didn’t he used to post on this board! I would like to see him justifying his bullshit on here…
We used to call them pods, remember? But ever since Mr Hilton took over, there has been a constant racket of what is more like someone is trying to make us hate the guy who literally saved our club.
I believe in giving people a fair chance. I will not be pushed towards taking a negative opinion before the man has given it a damn good go. If he doesn’t try, we will soon know. If he tries but fails, then we will also soon know. If he tries and succeeds, we can be happy with ourselves for not jumping on his back for no good reason.
UP THE IRON.
I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that all our internet spaces have been invaded by so called ‘fans’ of Bury FC.
They are on here. Most joined in the last two or three months.
Nonsense
Don’t worry, it’ll all come out in the end!
Apart from Iron Bystander, which other posters joined this forum over the last few months? Pat came and went and admitted to being a mate of Hilton’s. There’s no one else
The OP of this thread, Apathetic Apologists, is another.
I remember another John Eyre was he decent? they seemed to love him on Humberside in the 90’s and that keeper with long hair but I cant remember his name .
I remember John Eyre scoring a rocket into the top of the net, from an corner, against Brighton, when they used to ground share with Gillingham. There wasn’t and still isn’t a goalkeeper in the world that could have saved that.
Happy days. UTBI

What Stargazer or Thieves Like Us? Lol.

It says he is human, and has admitted making mistakes in the past. Unlike Swann, who would have us believe his shite don’t stink!
Yeah, always wise to take a person like that on their word 🙄
As opposed to Swann, yes!
Did nobody mention Kevin Keegan?

Best thing that has ever happened to this nation. Sure it will have teething problems, and I knew it would take time.
I don’t care if I die before the real benefits kick in. We have wasted enough time kowtowing to the Germans and the French.
Plywood? Lmao
Deadwood, Carver! Lol
They’re over rated. Swann hated them !
Especially the turf accountants, cost him a fortune.
I know just as much as anyone else on here. No more no less. Then again I only said I had an idea who. Not going to say who though.

I have an idea who might be responsible for all that crap on Twitter. Let’s just say that I don’t think it is our current chairman…
It is time us right leaning Tory brexiters started to back Reform UK. We can topple the lot, eventually. It is time for proportional representation.
May 20, 2023 at 12:48 am in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #262681Today a classic…
Bare bones, the truth is nobody on here knows 100% what is going to happen to our club in the future.
We were all sky high with Nigel Adkins in charge and our team playing in the second tear of English football. But as the years have gone by things have snowballed, and after yo-yoing between K1 and L2 for a few years, and our once spendthrift chairman literally running our club into the ground. We found ourself out of the league, and destined to drop even further. We were even in trouble with the taxman and subject to a winding up order. The end of Scunthorpe United Football Club was a very real possibility. I for one thought it was the end of the road for us, as a club, as a community, as fans. I don’t know why he sold to Hilton and not Sharp and Elliot. Perhaps Hilton literally has more money. I hope so, because I’m beginning to think he will need to.
IF Swann is letting us have the use of Glanford Park while a new stadium is built, and in Scunthorpe too, then I will be more optimistic, but it’s a big IF.
In the meantime, I’m not interested in the meanderings of a bunch of Twitter gobshites and Iron Bru newcomers. Who for all I know could be cod heads and or members of the Swann family.
Let’s see what happens short term, but never ever give up on OUR football club…

Will £20,000 a month be enough for Swann’s gambling expenses? Or maybe a leg or two of a racehorse for Coolsilk perhaps. I think he will be happy enough to take the money without any responsibility.
You keep saying you know stuff. So why not elaborate? Please!
Ha ha, how wonderful..

So are we playing our home matches at Glanford Park nex season or not? Will Nr Hilton be building a new ground at the Glebe Road site, along with training pitch and car park? Will they be selling Pucka Pies next season?
In fairness, Wilcox did achieve a very good unbeaten record, even if there was a lot of draws. Also I believe he genuinely loves our football club.
More like go forth and multiply…
Same shit, another new account.
I’m hoping that the new land is just the new training grounds that we so desperately need, that Glanford Park is bought and paid for, and that the influx of decent (for NLN) players continues until we are able to put a proper footballing team together.

A lot of us were skinheads at Foxhills back in the early 1980’s. Most into Ska, some into Oi. I liked both and still do.

National League North player of the month December 2020. Got to be an improvement on what we had already.
