Too many lost opportunities to gain the top slot and then consolidate it.

3 X 0-0 needless draws at home means you have to make up the results on the road, especially against a team 2nd from bottom.

We are okay when ahead but have no answer when teams come back at us.

More NLN next season I am afraid.

So winning more than losing us a sign of a failure?

Not if others are winning more and losing less!

Didn’t like Dean, but at least he played football, had his players been fitter than we would have won the league.

Stan as coach should have had the players fit!!!!

Sorry it’s Hobsons choice for me!

Fans who were there today – was it the fault of players/manager/combination?

Who cares they are second bottom and we are supposedly chasing promotion.

1-0 up comfortable, to losing 2-1 without an answer when they equalised and then took the lead.

We were told he had learnt lessons from the first half of the season, well forgive me but two good results away at Peterborough and home v Kings Lynn had me believing that.

    Today says not!

If money is the issue, then the income from home gates is going down after we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot and miss opportunity after opportunity to seize the top spot and put distance between ourselves and the chasing pack!

Mind you I do not think Beck could even shoot himself in the foot!

2 weeks to bring a right back in and we prioritize a catering and events manager instead.

At least we seem to have money to throw around.

Maybe a right footed catering and events manager who can play right back Saturday/Tuesday!

    Earl is an ignorant sod

Thank you for confirming Earl is ignorant, I thought it was maybe a personal thing.

Jerry is a lovely chap actually and a medical condition caused his present demeanor, prior to that he was as ‘normal’ as anyone of us.

A further serious medical problem later in life did not help him either.

No feedback ? Given Earl’s predilection for slagging off Bru I’m not surprised

He always seems a very odd chap, spends a lot of time ‘gurning’, can’t think I have ever heard him speak.

It is very noticeable that the whole matter which thrust two certain characters into the spotlight has gone very quiet since one contacted the other on a second X account which showed an unhealthy interest in ladies of questionable age!

When certain people resurface they may find themselves viewed very differently in many people’s eyes.

I half expected this to be a double entendre of Vizesque proportions in reference to a well known fundraiser and highly dubious posts on an X account!

Poor old Jerry, Stuart aside where will the rest of the chumps involved with Unity be?

Parking up next to the Iron Trust at Trust corner and I take it ‘crumble corner’ is yet another of your pathetic attempts to slander the Iron Trust will give fans the opportunity to see the quality of the people involved with both groups.

Maybe it’s time to explain yours, Jerry’s and Karen Lee’s hatred for the Iron Trust, and if there’s time also explain the subsidy for your away travel.

    Interesting observation about politicians IFA.

There are two sorts of people in life.

Those that shout a lot and make people think they are doing something.

Those that quietly do the work and get on with things, without shouting about it.

Politicians fall into both categories and there are some very good ones, the quiet ones tend to achieve more and are respected for their desire to achieve and do as apposed to collecting “brownie points”.

I have been wholly supportive of Mr Maw and his efforts of fundraising for the Iron, as per other posts in this thread.

This whole episode is very unpleasant for all concerned.

But the video supporting WHAM is damning really, after seeing this I think Mr Maw would have been better to accept an apology from Mr Ellis and keep quiet, so very quiet, so very very quiet that this 9 mins of utter diatribe would never surface and be made available to the wider Iron community.

I think Mr Maw has milked the last drop of sympathy he rightly deserved, to now needing to explain himself.

A lovely old gentleman who was an ardent Iron used to subsidise away travel.

Sadly that gentleman passed away, when his funding ceased certain people stopped going away

Now that half of Stuart’s raised funds are subsidising away travel, those people are suddenly back on the scene, which is an amazing coincidence.

Furthermore with their favourite Premiership team struggling after a few glorious years, they are now part of the un-elected Unity set up!

Surely time for Stu to tell all about his chequered past and what it involved being c

One of the main criticisms, along with accounting and licences is that’s it’s becoming about individuals rather than fund raising.

Other questions are about funding/subsidising away travel.

Another relevant question is will the Unity group be buying shares in the club or continue to simply giveaway raised funds.

Firstly good luck to Mr Maw and his new project, keep up the good work Stuart.

64 asks a pertinent question in opening this thread. Nobody has informed official supporters club members what has happened to the old set up.

Surely if the former committee did not wish to continue they should have called an AGM or an EGM and said as much to the members.

At that point there may have been other members prepared to put themselves forward. If that was not the case then publicly that could have been announced and the club properly wound up, with members fully aware of the situation.

I note that some of the former SUOSC committee are involved with Unity, maybe they can answer some of the outstanding matters. Transferable membership or closed altogether, presented accounts income/expenditure, final accounts and any outstanding funds or even debts.

Again ood luck with Unity, but can we have some answers please on the old supporters club from those involved?

Yeah heard it all before about Gallimore, Cribb, Wilson, some kid with a double-barrel name who was as instantly forgettable as his football ability.

No they were utter shite and so his Beck.

You would not put money on a donkey over a racehorse at Aintree, so why defend players who are simply not good enough.

PS those above have done nothing since leaving!

Yep, if only the Radio Humberside fans forum had been a few weeks later.

We could have challenged the board severely on AB. And AB on his football nous thus cutting the programme down by 30 minutes, instead we got an hour of ‘happy clappyness’ and patting in the back!

You need to poke higher I am afraid.

We have booed at HT, FT and during the matches. We have even booed bizaar substitutions We have called the manager names and been dismissed for it. One right back even had a go at supporters for calling AB out after the Alfreton game!

The players have stuck two fingers up by standing together in the centre circle at Marine seemingly united in this utter tripe of abysmal football.

The fab four have been quiet throughout and then last week we were described on the club website as ‘outside noise’.

We will not be champions, we will not finish high up in the play-off spots and will continue to go backwards under AB and his even worse assistant JS. FACT

The gate today of over 3800 did not reflect the gaps in the seats nor on the DRE especially in the empty central area.

The Fab 4 saved us from Ernest Pawn and WHAM only to leave us at the behest of this latest threat to our future. AB was a terrible appointment and JS even worse.

We are not going up the pyramid under these two.

There were glimpses of football today which is an improvement, I still want ‘our’ AB gone NWI.

    That made me chuckle Matty.

It was much better than the Alfreton game and he did not play that absolutely ridiculous 5 across the back on the smallest of pitches.

However I did see a great panto at the Baths hall the other day, but not a great one this afty.

    Up the Iron

Surely it’s more important what is served up on the pitch rather than off it?

I don’t think we will be getting a Michelin star for either!

I have had a listen and would offer a slightly different opinion. AB was maybe trying to be defiant in light of the recent and justifiable criticism of him, his assistant and his tactics.

He played 4-4-2, made bold team changes and altered the game with his substitutions. Fair play to him and his players backed him with a show of defiance too.

The little comment ‘outside noise’ from the club match report is interesting however.

At least we now know that even if the club chose not to say anything they were at least listening and sensitive to the criticism of their manager and the poor football being served up.

A victory in any manner will instill confidence throughout the team and the club as a whole.

    All good then.

So next week and in subsequent games until the end of the season AB now needs to serve up entertaining attacking football by creating chances and sticking to our game rather than adjusting to counter the opposition. This will bring victories and unite the fanbase in his favour.

Anything else will not, and whilst AB took the brunt, the little comment ‘outside noise’ has not gone unnoticed on here, hence the reason I read it.

So if Ab is being defiant good for him, it’s better than the petulance we have seen of recent.

I am prepared to accept ‘outside noise’ so long as there as been some ‘internal noise’.

Up the Iron and this new defiance and fightback.

Danny boy according to Wikipedia has scored 21 in 43 not too bad a return at 1 in 2.

Becks scoring record is on average 1 in 5.

    Roberts averages 1 in 3.

Whitehall and Roberts are natural goalscorers, Beck should be the creater for both players.
