I get some of your points III and your entitled to them of course but as I posted earlier are we privvy to what is a mental state or a victim card, I think personally it’s a tough call but I will be clear on one thing, Swann it seems was about to let the club die, Hilton came in and rescued it from that fate, now how things pan out in the future is up in the air but the fact the club is still operating is down to Hilton and not the previous owner who appeared was quite prepared to see it fail when he’d had enough, I’m just hoping Hilton in his mental state at the moment isn’t contemplating the same thing although he said he expected the club to go from strength to strength. As always, it’s wait and see time and we all need to keep our fingers 🤞
You suggest we are not privy to certain things and cannot therefore make any accurate posts. Yet within that same post you assume that Swann would let the club die. We have no proof that he would do that. Sadly, he found DH to take over.
Like the vast majority of supporters, I want to see SUFC succeed. However, I do not want to be led by a man who lies and cheats his way to get there.
A fairly easy question to answer, with Hilton at the helm we have a club, without him – who knows. Some of us are desperate for our club to survive, others just want to see Hilton humiliated. Do I have concerns? Of course I do, but I also wonder why you and Interested Bystander are so keen to destroy an individual.
(Reply to Ruuger’s question)It’s not either DH or no club.
Very few people have a personal agenda against him. What I am not happy with is that he has lied to us all, on an ongoing basis, and now that he has been caught out he is trying to play the victim card.
We have had great support, but it is for the club. Whoever is the owner or the manager we all be behind them WHEN THEY DESERVE IT. The club is bigger than any individual.
Swann was bad news for us. It doesn’t automatically make the next person the good news.
When he filled in the “fit & proper” forms, did he admit to having gone to prison under the name Anderson?
Based on how he has performed to date, I rather think he didn’t. The FA should be investigating this to ensure that they are in the clear.
Broken man? It was a sob story, looking for sympathy, do you think a leopard can change it’s spots?
Is it that easy to tell the difference between a man in a poor mental state and a sob story? Not sure I’m qualified to make that call and I’m not sure you are but your entitled to your opinion.
He’s been crying wolf far too often to be believed. It’s never him in the wrong it is Swann, the journalists, the fans blah, blah, blah.
He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!

Whilst many will not be happy with someone who defrauded the council of £68 grand, it is the fact that he changed his name (4 names in total I believe) and denied it to all and sundry, making out that he was a victim in all instances.
Yes, we all make mistakes, but defrauding the council is hardly a mistake. It was very obviously planned and carried out over a period of time. He was also charged with fraud under the name White, but evidence was not brought at the hearing. Whilst this is not proof that he was guilty then it does show the areas in which he operates.
Do we really want this at our Club? I certainly don’t.

We should be very worried about Hilton. His lack of transparency has been obvious from the start and his tardiness in responding to HMRC, Co. House, wages, pensions etc continues to raise alarm bells.
The vast majority of Iron fans were so pleased to see the back of Swann that they have been blinkered with his successor. Out of the frying pan and into the fire springs to mind.
In my opinion Hilton is juggling many balls to try and improve our Club. Sadly, if one ball is dropped it will cause every ball to fall. He is, very obviously from his previous business ventures, not that clever a man. I will continue to expect this man to fail. God help our Club.
It is a very sensible thing for Swann to do.
Hilton (White/Anderson/Mellors) will lose the court case in QTR 1 2024 and Swann will sell the ground to get his money back.
If you haven’t already read the Athletic article, please do so. Hilton (etc. etc.) is not our saviour.
What does the club pay all these stewards for? They just stand about doing nothing. The club should be asking for a refund.
You say that, but last year when they hand cuffed a pleb all hell broke out on here.
“The 32-year-old has had no shortage of suitors in higher divisions, but opted to return to Glanford Park and train with the club a couple of weeks ago”
Are we really supposed to believe that??
If we are going to win the FA Cup this year we may as well start off with a difficult game 🤣🤣🤣

Mr Evil. Which one is that?
jThat question is easily answered Ironironiron, just ask any of the 5 or 6,000 loyal supporters that have swallowed his constant lies for the past 8 or 10 years, or ask the question “WHO IS THE MOST HATED MAN IS NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE, that will give you the answer pal.
I agree that Swann is a baddy, but I am yet to be convinced that DH isn’t another one.
Hope your not saying the same thing in 8-10 years time.
What happened today was exactly what David Hilton predicted would happen when he told those present at the February fans forum that Swann had ceased channels of communication.
Hopefully common sense will now prevail though it is my opinion that we saw little of that in the 10 year tenure.
It would be great if personal agendas could be put aside or at least find different outlets for speculation dressed up as facts.
I’m not going to suggest that Swann is not to blame, but why do people take everything that DH sates as factual?
His actions to date, and the problems with wages, payment of debts, CCJ’s etc etc, do not point in that direction.
We will continue to be in the dark, hoping and praying, for the next 6 months.
I really do hope that they can resolve the issues between them and that DH stands up to his responsibilities as the owner of our club and starts acting like he should.
We’ve just got rid (nearly!!) of one bad owner, we don’t want another one.

There was never going to be a decision today. It was a directions hearing. Information is the key to a solution and that Wil be discussed at the next meeting.
Hopefully DH will have somewhere lined up for us to play (and the NLN are happy to rubber-stamp it) after that meeting.
It will be better the later it is – so mid/end March will be better than early/mid Jan – as any decent notice period will take us to the end of the season.
Sadly, we are still none the wiser on what the actual position is!!
Mr Evil. Which one is that?
An excellent day out.
Good all round performance. Ogle is a class above. Shrimpton put in in a good shift but he is still a little lightweight. Elliot could help us stay top of the League, whilst Whitehall needs to grow up and keep his mouth shut – good job he was substituted.
I thought the ref was good.
Bought food for the first time in 15 years at the ground. The goat burger was really good, but the service is still painfully slow.
Good crowd and best atmosphere I’ve seen for many a year.
Long may it continue 👍

CCJ’s are not issued overnight.
DH will have ignored these payments for months – the poor sods who are owed money are having to spend more time, and money, trying to get what is due to them
We all make the odd mistake, but DH seems to have made far too many far too quickly.
I am not impressed with him to date.

Changing accts regularly is not good news. Have they found something that they are not happy with?
Adjourned is my bet
Could well be and in any case, the gambling addict is used by now to being skint, another 18 months or a couple of years waiting is neither here or there.
How do you know he is skint. Do you have a link to prove it? I am asking you for a link so it can be confirmed you are correct. If you can’t provide evidence go back in your shell and keep quiet.
Annoying isn’t it.
At least they’re not all members of the same family!
As if that will make any difference!!
Top of the league.
Christ, it’s been a while!!
Not on tour, would you rather I bashed Hilton instead ?
This all comes back to Swann. Swann ran us into the floor and between him spending ridiculous amounts of money the club didn’t have and his gambling debts, he then had the cheek to sign over all of the clubs assets to his company to give himself some breathing room.
The way he treated us is unforgiveable. I’d pick Satan over Swann. If it was up to me, I would have had him tarred and feathered him and paraded the lying pillock in the town centre.
Like him or loathe him, without Hilton we wouldn’t have a club. Swann clearly didn’t give a toss.
Why don’t you do everybody a favour and go away ?. Stop spreading your bile on here and go elsewhere.
Do you even support this club anyway ?
Not supporting Swann in the slightest, but I need to point out 2 incorrect points in your rambling.
Firstly, Swann transferring ownership of club/ground/land to his company was at a “value” of £11M. If he had not done so we would have been in bother far earlier.
Secondly, whilst his gambling debts are huge, there is no proof whatsoever that it has had any impact on the Club. Sadly, the Club was in the mire long before Swann was!!
I would also suggest that DH has not yet saved our Club. He has spent some money, but he currently has little control over our future. Let’s hope that we get a resolution soon.
You are a sexist Sanfran. Also, they would give our current side a run for their money.
You can’t beat a good pint of mild. Difficult to find these days!!
Will Hilton’s lawyers bring all this history up in court plus the gambling addiction 🤔
They shouldn’t do. It has no relevance to the court case.
Could carrying knocks be code for carrying knocks?

There is only one person responsible for where we are now – Mr Peter Swann.
The only person in charge of the money was him, he spent the money, he sacked all the managers that had to be paid off. He gambled any reserves there were. Then spent his own money and having gambled that away decided it was the club who should reimburse him !
You not factually correct.
Swann “subsidised” the club with his own money. He then took the ground, land etc to repay himself.
He did not use any club money to gamble on the gee gees. The books all balance in the eyes of the law – showing we lost a shedload of money!!
Let’s hope Hilton doesn’t spend all the club money & then jog on. It won’t be his own money that he has spent.
Well spotted Awaywego, so ” our advisors” had seen proof of funds and also Simon so what is the problem peterswann?
Surely the problem is that DW is not parting with his cash. If he’s got it and they have agreed the price then he should pay up – then Swann will be gone forever

We are in for an interesting few weeks if this is legitimate……
My own opinion is that I believe everything in the post above as DH has been very quiet on all the main issues. And don’t forget, he told us that he had bought the club, the ground, the car park & the training facilities.

“For me, it’s about doing what you have said you are going to do.” like buying the ground?
Takes two people to buy and sell something.
But he told us he had bought it……

I’d be happy to see him go today.
