What happened today was exactly what David Hilton predicted would happen when he told those present at the February fans forum that Swann had ceased channels of communication.

Hopefully common sense will now prevail though it is my opinion that we saw little of that in the 10 year tenure.

It would be great if personal agendas could be put aside or at least find different outlets for speculation dressed up as facts.

I’m not going to suggest that Swann is not to blame, but why do people take everything that DH sates as factual?

His actions to date, and the problems with wages, payment of debts, CCJ’s etc etc, do not point in that direction.

We will continue to be in the dark, hoping and praying, for the next 6 months.

I really do hope that they can resolve the issues between them and that DH stands up to his responsibilities as the owner of our club and starts acting like he should.

We’ve just got rid (nearly!!) of one bad owner, we don’t want another one.

There was never going to be a decision today. It was a directions hearing. Information is the key to a solution and that Wil be discussed at the next meeting.

Hopefully DH will have somewhere lined up for us to play (and the NLN are happy to rubber-stamp it) after that meeting.

It will be better the later it is – so mid/end March will be better than early/mid Jan – as any decent notice period will take us to the end of the season.

Sadly, we are still none the wiser on what the actual position is!!

    An excellent day out.

Good all round performance. Ogle is a class above. Shrimpton put in in a good shift but he is still a little lightweight. Elliot could help us stay top of the League, whilst Whitehall needs to grow up and keep his mouth shut – good job he was substituted.

I thought the ref was good.

Bought food for the first time in 15 years at the ground. The goat burger was really good, but the service is still painfully slow.

Good crowd and best atmosphere I’ve seen for many a year.

    Long may it continue 👍

    CCJ’s are not issued overnight.

DH will have ignored these payments for months – the poor sods who are owed money are having to spend more time, and money, trying to get what is due to them

We all make the odd mistake, but DH seems to have made far too many far too quickly.

I am not impressed with him to date.

    Adjourned is my bet

Could well be and in any case, the gambling addict is used by now to being skint, another 18 months or a couple of years waiting is neither here or there.

How do you know he is skint. Do you have a link to prove it? I am asking you for a link so it can be confirmed you are correct. If you can’t provide evidence go back in your shell and keep quiet.

    Annoying isn’t it.

Not on tour, would you rather I bashed Hilton instead ?

This all comes back to Swann. Swann ran us into the floor and between him spending ridiculous amounts of money the club didn’t have and his gambling debts, he then had the cheek to sign over all of the clubs assets to his company to give himself some breathing room.

The way he treated us is unforgiveable. I’d pick Satan over Swann. If it was up to me, I would have had him tarred and feathered him and paraded the lying pillock in the town centre.

Like him or loathe him, without Hilton we wouldn’t have a club. Swann clearly didn’t give a toss.

Why don’t you do everybody a favour and go away ?. Stop spreading your bile on here and go elsewhere.

Do you even support this club anyway ?

Not supporting Swann in the slightest, but I need to point out 2 incorrect points in your rambling.

Firstly, Swann transferring ownership of club/ground/land to his company was at a “value” of £11M. If he had not done so we would have been in bother far earlier.

Secondly, whilst his gambling debts are huge, there is no proof whatsoever that it has had any impact on the Club. Sadly, the Club was in the mire long before Swann was!!

I would also suggest that DH has not yet saved our Club. He has spent some money, but he currently has little control over our future. Let’s hope that we get a resolution soon.

Will Hilton’s lawyers bring all this history up in court plus the gambling addiction 🤔

They shouldn’t do. It has no relevance to the court case.

There is only one person responsible for where we are now – Mr Peter Swann.

The only person in charge of the money was him, he spent the money, he sacked all the managers that had to be paid off. He gambled any reserves there were. Then spent his own money and having gambled that away decided it was the club who should reimburse him !

    You not factually correct.

Swann “subsidised” the club with his own money. He then took the ground, land etc to repay himself.

He did not use any club money to gamble on the gee gees. The books all balance in the eyes of the law – showing we lost a shedload of money!!

Let’s hope Hilton doesn’t spend all the club money & then jog on. It won’t be his own money that he has spent.

Well spotted Awaywego, so ” our advisors” had seen proof of funds and also Simon so what is the problem peterswann?

Surely the problem is that DW is not parting with his cash. If he’s got it and they have agreed the price then he should pay up – then Swann will be gone forever

We are in for an interesting few weeks if this is legitimate……

My own opinion is that I believe everything in the post above as DH has been very quiet on all the main issues. And don’t forget, he told us that he had bought the club, the ground, the car park & the training facilities.

“For me, it’s about doing what you have said you are going to do.” like buying the ground?

Takes two people to buy and sell something.

But he told us he had bought it……

Could always try getting a mortgage on the lease of GP. He wouldn’t be the first football club owner to actually do it.

    Except he doesn’t own GP.

Hull City Council own the MKM stadium lock stock and barrel. Russell Bartlett, previous owner, used the lease on it to get a £3.4m loan from RBS which he shuffled around holding companies, as well as paying himself a million quid in wages. Easy peasy when you’re a property developer!

    [/quote]

We still don’t know if we’ll even be playing at GP next season. Swann says no, Hilton say yes. Is there a lease???!

Leagues are continually being restructured, expanded, contracted… evolving.
Let’s deem it to be an organic body rather than an immovable mountain range.

I opened in my first sentence with the distribution (locality) of the clubs and the amount of travelling.

Less miles is a cost saving for clubs and supporters alike.

If you look at whom we will be playing next season, you will see that there aren’t many local or even close games!

Gloucester 175 miles and a shade over 3 hours.

It’s hardly regional football at those distances.

Massive gap? You’ll have to do better than that!
Last season we were a L2 club – next season we are NLN.
Season after, we may be Northern Premier!

    The gap? Ha ha.

Yeah, like everyone has been breathing down Wrexham & County’s necks all season!

    It’s not about fewer games.
It’s about saving money on travel costs and making it more affordable for fans and actually regional.

    Kapish?

    No, I don’t capiche.

You would need to disrupt a lot of leagues across the whole country, at the same time, to implement what you suggest.

The arguement that we have dropped 2 leagues in 2 seasons does not support your argument. It supports mine. Can you imagine our current mob against League 2 teams?

In terms of travelling time, many of our supporters travel the length & breadth of the country to follow the team. Then there are people like me who live a long way from Scunny so appreciate less travel on occasion.

Yes, we might save some money but the competition would not be as strong – in all 3 areas that you would break it down in.

Thinking of stepping away from this cesspit but I will be back on D-DAY for my apologies. And there will be apologies.

There will be no apologies whatever happens, the few of us that called out Swann from day one never got an apology for all the abuse we got and the lies told about us.

    From day 1. Right……..

So ApAp, you are planning on ruining the structure of a lot of leagues up and down the country to save playing 4 games.

Instead of 48 teams in 2 leagues you would have 66 teams in 3 leagues. Where do these teams come from? They would have to be regional (North, South, Central), so you would bugger up a lot of lower league structures. There would also be a massive gap between the top teams and the bottom teams as they could be 2, 3 or even 4 leagues apart at the moment.

All that disruption not to play 4 games? That’s what a squad is for.
