If chappo does play surely JD will have to have another keeper on the bench something he normally doesnt run with…
I hope hes fit to start, if hes out its a big blow , what do members think re Foster stepping in ,it would worry me a wee bit, there was a mention of another keeper
Thats really sad, handsome young fella.
My sincere condolences to Owens family and friends.
Was gonna try to make a prediction on JDs starting 11 n subs but with Chappo a real doubt, other niggly injuries and the couple of new guys it would be guesswork.
As for a score .. my head says we loose 3-1 but my heart says 2-2 or 3-2 to Scunny.
Hope all traveling Iron fans have a great day and sing yer hearts out for the boys.
* Rene Please dont forget a commentary link i registered etc but seem to get blocked when trying to log in from my location.

Any update re Chappo , is he fit ?
so potentially after the York fixture we could be without a target/hold up man up front ?? Gerry is a mere memory also.
Did Barrow sign a striker ? if not they could well want Bennett back.
Taft ?? ..LOT NUMBER DN15 .. football player , in reasonable condition rarely used
lets start the bidding at 10 bob.
not that it effects me but as mentioned in Gareths Wealdstone ironarmy YT vid i just cant understand why they dont take cash n the turnstiles or a selected turnstile at every home game its a no brainer.
that would be a real kick in the gonads
40 goals scored in the last 13 fixtures between the pair.
3 goals per game.
I’d go with 3 goals plus Saturday.
I’d love it to be 1-3 @ 80/1
I’d be happy with 3-3 @ 66/1
this aint gonna be a 0-0 or 1-0 .. im seeing a few goals in my crystal ball.
im going for 2-2 at this moment
Chapman fit or not ?? need his experience in front of a big crowd.
Rene PLEASE dont forget my commentary link ok .. :)
obviously i truly hope we can survive in the NL this season ..however if the unthinkable happens and its NLN what are the thoughts of supporters with regard to if the club will loose fans and attendances will decrease ? or building on from new ownership , manager and players will support increase as it seems to have done with higher attendances than whilst in the ELF…imagine the Iron in NLN taking similar numbers away as at the moment , in a perverse sort of way it may be an exciting time to be a fan.
Im confident the downward spiral will end this season whether in the NL or NLN the club will bounce back in the seasons to come… ALA Luton , Stockport and the like.
UTI .. hope its a great week for the Iron and the fans at Notts County and York expecting them to create a great atmosphere at both games.
One of my mates has two spare tickets with hospitality for the Notts County game. He didn’t realise when he bought them that it was going to be the same day as his wedding. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place.
It’s at Scunthorpe Registry Office, at 2.30pm. The bride’s name is Moira, she’s 5’6″, about 8 stone, quite pretty, has her own income and is a really good cook.
BRILIANT ..BOOM BOOM ..that made me chortle for several seconds
really impressive numbers re away support i applaud every one of them sing yer hearts out for the lads
i hope the boys put a shift in and come away with at least a point ..

on tinernet been reading it appears Dean Rance was all set to sign for Maidstone then opted for Scunny…this Thompson lad looks promising.
Richgy when you were 2 nowt down you had a great chance to get a goal back buy missed .. again at 4-0 another glorious chance to score .. alas not to be , im sure regardless of the result most Cods will have enjoyed the experience.
Not overly keen on that pink kit ..nearly as bad as the Scunny yellow monstrosity.
directly after the great performance n win against Wealdstone seems Jimmy may be tinkering with that winning line up … i hope whatever he does works out after all he gets paid to make those decisions.
Not whinging and pleased to se Mr Hilton is pushing right to the end to keep the club in the NL.
just noticed we have to play Oldham at GP on 10th April …. i hope Nuttal and or Devarn Green dont come back to haunt us .. Nuttal scoring a winner in front of the Donny rd end may not go down too well.. looking all other fixtures if we can replicate yesterdays performance all winnable with Notts County being the only one thats really asking a tad too much though they are slipping up at the vital time and handing the promotion place to Wrexham on a plate at the mo.
Great performance and result … the survival door still open and with games against Gateshead , Torgquay and Dorking still to come as Loyd says … SO THERE IS A CHANCE !! btw i uploaded the whole vid as the first part is so so funny ..
What I’d like:-
Chapman
Ogle Smith R-E Leake
Feeney Butterfield Whitehouse Shields
Elliott Bennett
(Gone for experience)i like what you like … and get stuck in this is a lock in at the last chance saloon
attack attack attack
Pugh Shrimpton and Wilson in starting line up… Feeney Whitehouse Elliot all on the bench.. dont get that at all in a game we have to win, OK Wilson for Feeney YES .. but Pugh couldnt hit a pigs arse with a shovel and should be Whitehouse for Shrimpton ..
At what point in a MUST WIN game will we play 2 strikers ..ie Elliot .. another set up not to loose as first priority.

Staggering that the likes of Stockport and Wrexham with their fan bases, bums on seats have struggled to escape the lower reaches and Wrexham still there after 15 years. I wonder if there is still a twist in the promotion saga prolonging the Druids stay in the NL. We may give them a helping hand in securing top spot with a shock at Notts next week, we’re due another away win.
As for the Iron, I may be in Woodlands before our glorious return to the EFL.I see the hollywood star fella at Wrexham has just sold his stake in a mobile phone company for 1 Billion so even more wonga to assist.
The Irons NLN stay could be longer than most think looking at the clubs there in.

yes the cod comments re Scunny on the fishy forum are mixed not all piss taking , banter in there as well as a very slight hint of sorrow in a strange sort of way.
Back to the 1899 share plan … I cant understand any Iron fan parting with the best part of 2k until its confirmed who owns GP, this we are still waiting for since Mr Hiltons last comments on the subject (podcast a few weeks ago) saying things are in process and the reasoning behind it taking a while to complete.
Jimmy Deans Mum is from Yaxley and is a fan of the club..
yes getting in playing minutes but hardly a confidence boosting experience in preparation for Scunnys next season perhaps.
a quick prediction on
Score 2-1 to Scunny
Attendance 2,928
Neil Cox uses the word brave/braver more than 10 times during radio commentary.Looking into it again.
