just had pride day parade in Bangkok ..i chose to stay in home and trim my privet.
Call me old fashioned or what ever but all these rainbow warriors for sexuality and freedom of expression have been around for donkeys years alas more recently it seems all this gay lesbian hokey pokey has to be trust upon and rammed down the throats of all other people who are NOT aligned with the same feelings to which some may be offended .. in my case im not as men in dresses and Toms are absolutely normal here .. more so after a few tooo many pale ales on Sunday i partook in my weekly medically pescribed soapy massage i did end up choosing the wrong gender, suffice to say it was smashing fun and extremely relaxing until i got the check bin.
massive LGBTQ population nowadays .. im guessing thats Lesbian Gay By Trans and Queers but never met one that could make a proper English fry up or dig a hole for a fence post.
Onnee kiddin guys im a bit round the bend sometimes…. ooooo errr

I think it should be 3 up , 2 automatically and another via playoffs.
I’m in favour of her argument. Though I wonder if she’d have been so vociferous had they gone up?
Yeah exactly that .. my agreement was more in line with the promotion system needing changing rather than feeling sorry for any specific team as all know the rules when a season kicks off.
IMO the promotion formula could be made fairer.

York City owner writes open letter to EFL … cant disagree with it
23 pts and 12 wins more than Oldham
June 3, 2025 at 3:51 am in reply to: Liz Truss joins thug who battered OAP to launch whiskey at Glanford Park #305367Agreed, it’s difficult to get excited about any of this.
Unless either Truss or Joyce are potential investors into the club in which case we might see Zanetti chuck a few bob in or become first team scout or manager.
BTW Im joking guys
I know the paint isnt dry on the trophy cabinet door yet but i really hope SUFC are seriously looking at potential signings such as Smallwood and Kouyhar now .. lets say half of the current OOC players leave we dont want to be pecking about for the crumbs that the likes of York and Carlisle LET drop off the transfer bird table.
I saw some one had posted a home shirt design which was nice n simple and had an shadow image of the steel works …quite liked it .. most others attempts have been nasty.
Well done to Oldham , never gave up and im sure Mr Rothwell will throw a big party for the players n fans.
One of my last away games before departing UK shores was Roots hall and yes we lost ..still a cracking day out a few glasses of orange quash in the pub on the hill overlooking the sea.
One thing is without doubt the NLN was a hard league but the NL is getting stronger by the year and fingers crossed we can survive and consolidate.
Carlisle, Southend, Rochdale, FGR, York, Hartlepool, Morecambe and Yeovil to name just a few who will be toughies and operating will bigger budgets … yes budgets dont always win leagues but they bloody well help a lot. You’d best get on with making more Thai Baht then. Just think you could have a soapy massage parlour in the Iron Bar. I’m sure that would be a money spinner.
Selling up and retiring soon DM ..whilst i will be able to still enjoy the many cultural pleasures of Siam including a soapy massage on a Sunday i do intend on visiting the UK to see family and watch a bit of footy, alas not sure i will have enough to be a money bags investor to join the SUFC TEAM .. though i will buy merch and donate when i can.
I did open a sperm bank many years ago but business was so hard and as time passed funds dried up … such is the aging process.
Obviously AB should get credit for his achievements this season regardless how it happened he got us over the line just.
I admit i wasnt a fan of his appointment and i hope he can work some magic in what will be a really tough NL, we will know more when the new playing squad is formed and even more after first 10 fixtures.IMO ..In WGs defense due to 5 at the back and stale negative football or not AB was very close to being sacked and the Marine game was the moment .. anyway thats watter under the bridge but i hope his jobs not in danger come October / November 2025 as that would more than likely mean we are in a relegation dog fight.
uti
Would rather we tried for Kouhyar anyway, who they have released.
Agree Kouhyar should be on SUFC radar and will be snapped up quick.
Hope the celebrations have calmed down and thoughts are fixed on sorting next seasons playing squad out pronto as until its known who is staying or going means a delay any new signings plus AB is getting wed which may mean hes away for on honeymoon rather than chasing new players.
Seeing many other clubs signing early doors thus not scrapping the bottom of the barrel later.UTI
For sure , my Yeovil mad mate here is buzzing and reckons the new owner will fund big signings giving them a realistic chance of doing a Wrexham without the Hollywood sparkle.
How Scunny could do with an wealthy investor as im under no illusions next season is going to be a really hard one to survive on a mediocre budget.
Looks like we are keeping most of last seasons team. They didn’t perform with 5 at the back against part time teams in NLN. What makes you think they will perform better against full time teams in the NL?
Why does it look like we are keeping most of the team ??.. most still in talks on deals , unless you have insider info its purely speculation.
I hope the budget is lower than the Swann years, except the last 2. Maxing out the credit cards didn’t work out well. Michelle said the budget will be mid range. Might have to rely on good recruitment, spirit, organisation and luck for a good season, rather than outspending everyone.
Agree .. but it is the recruitment that worries me ..
No real surprises so far.
Retained List 2.0 will be more interesting.
Yes for sure as i have a feeling most still in negs will be leaving ..

I know its a bank holiday in Blighty but hopefully we should start to get some updates re whose staying going gone already or in contract talks , AB did say Monday in his bus parade interview.
Sounds positive re Rowley
Great to read the many positive comments re the last night of the weekender being well attended and “bangin” what ever that means ..even TZ receiving acclaim.
Having just watched some of the acts i can only say …bloody ell i feel old !!Now thats over its retained list time and hoping for as many as possible of the group to stay.
It does sound like a bit of a shambles ..

I don’t think anything looks bleak until we find out who’s going and who’s coming in. Not sure how a reasonable assessment can be made yet.
MW
Thats why i wrote “looks bleak IF 7 or 8 depart”.watched both the York v Oldham and FGR v Southend PO games and twas dam fine football on show ..if thats the standard we are up against next season its gonna be a long hard season.
Funny that, because I watched the Europa League Final and the football on show was shite!
So not so much about the level you’re at as how you perform on the day.
If AB can put together a team that will go out there and fight for the shirt and each other we’ll be fine. The problem we had during our rapid demise was too many players not putting in a shift.
Agree but theres that word IF again… AB did manage to get a decent tune out of his troops this season but he inherit most from the Hilton n JD era …lets say IF MOST do leave he will have to form a squad basically from scratch.
I did notice Beck was very much on the edge on the celebrations looking rather uncomfortable which is a bit sad.Gotta feel a bit for York who finished 23 points more than Olldham then had a stinker against then in the PO semi .. reading on SM York are pressing the NL / EFL for change …good luck with that.
Who is actually under contract for next season do we know for sure?
Officially there wasn’t many. I think SCALES, EVANS and BECK. There are 5 others with no date shown BARROWS, DENTON, BROGAN, ROWLEY and FISHBURN. 11 out of contract June 2025. But seems we have options on 8 or 9 of the others from that total 16.
I think 7/8 to leave.
Looking bleak if 7 or 8 depart … i know he is under contract but rumours about a club after Evans also not sure i think it was Barnet but may be wrong.
watched both the York v Oldham and FGR v Southend PO games and twas dam fine football on show ..if thats the standard we are up against next season its gonna be a long hard season especially if too many of our main players leave .. im guessing we will get the scores on the doors next week for what is arguably one of the most important retained released lists in the clubs history.
Rumours abound .. wage caps and players linked to moves , we just have to wait n see what left in the mix.A dose in the Championship wouldnT do Man U (and Goldbridge) any harm .. now that be great to see. The Red Devils are so lucky to have been blessed this season with Ipswich, Leicester and Shampton so far off the pace thus saving them.
Pretty sure Fitz will leave based on rumour and a couple of recent SM interviews in which he was very cagey about the future / career.
Set up like you did it .arse!
The add ive been getting has the Bru logo as a header saying watch for site access for 24 hours … also getting loads of pop ups
No chance of watching the game but thank the lord for HR which was an excellent unbroken service
ive just had my crystal ball repaired after it advised me incorrectly re the Chester score, it seems to be back working as it did say i would have a hangover Monday which was spent recovering watching the many YT vlogs and highlights of this momentous occasion.
Here is where it gets tricky who will stay or go and can we build a squad that can stay up in the NL next season .. i think we will loose Roberts Fitz and Whall but most of the rest will stay following promotion.
Any new signings need to be bang on the mark.reading SM its looks like Cal Roberts has played his last game for Scunny and Fitz already has a deal lined up, as mentioned on another thread we need to cherry pick a few stand out NLN players to come in and blend with whats left from this bunch when the dust settles .. lots of talk about the likes of Billy Sharp n Ryan Colclough and others being tempted back but just cant see the budget allowing such signings even if these players wanted to return… time will tell and hopefully some new mega bucks investor might be found WHO KNOWS.
