Is it players and office staff or just office staff who haven’t received payment?
Not much of an incentive for players to pull up any trees on Saturday if the wonga isn’t in their accounts.

Absolutely agree with that AA if the players not paid expect a lethargic performance.. plenty of player smiles on the training pitch images being added to the club website , of course they could have been taken in July.

Surely DH isnt that daft to have not paid the players .. cash from friendlies in pocket and presumably funds from the new directors let alone ST sales , Kit/merc sales , car parking , and the numerous sponsorship deals that appear to have been done etc etc… surely not another admin hiccup or oversight ?

Bad form old chap if Insiders claim is true.

There’s no doubting those odds. Tamworth will get put to the sword and HMS piss the league will be well and truly in it’s stride.

I do have a good feeling this season with the squad that’s been put together. This is one of those seasons in quite a long time when you can go down the list of players and not pick out one which is deadweight/making up the numbers.

Still think we’re a striker short but other than that we’re pretty much spot on.

Nice to see you back , hope you had a nice holiday, anywhere nice ?? , in some ways i do share your optimism and agree the squad assembled does have quality in depth … alas with the many unknown teams involved including not to be underestimated Tamworth this ” HMS piss the league” may be harder to achieve than you are predicting ..hope im wrong and we win at a cantor this Saturday .. after my cock on Burton score prediction accuracy seems the super computer is following my earlier 1-1 prediction.

IB Its a forum, Im a member down to my love for SUFC since circa 1980 no other motives or reason required , i read your posts because unfortunately they are still appearing in the football section of the site.
Members read follow threads and reply , debate agree or otherwise , i am not interested in you.
Your pompous attitude and wash rinse repeat attacks are lingering like a stale fart in a taxi and constantly posting digs at DH when ever you are thrown some scraps is all very toxic and doing little to help the situation for real fans.

Here are a couple of questions.

Why the obsession with destroying DH ?
The job is clearly taking up so much of your time that somewhere in the past you have had serious issues with him… when you first came on the scene it was as a bystander to inform and warn fans of our new owners alleged past miss givings …its pretty obvious there is more to your hatred of DH than purely wanting to save SUFC and its fan base from him.. SO WHAT IS IT ??

An easy YES or No next

If you are successful in your crusade to owst DH and plunge the club into god knows where will you be happy ?

Wanting DH to fail is the same as wanting to destroy the club .. a club you admit you have no affiliation to thus have zero feelings for.

Do you intend on following DH around for ever ? until your job is done.

out of interest how much are they paying for the privilege , are they buying shares , why are they not on companies house and if it goes Pete tong are they in any way liable or is that solely mr david ?

Good questions but i dont reckon fans will ever get to know such info .. possibly a non disclosure clause in the gig is my guess.

Thought i would bring this thread back to the first page being as we are only a 3 days away from the big KO .

It seems the Ogle mullet wig will be the apparel of choice for Tamworth and the coming season… unless of course some some of the oldtimers kept their mullets from younger years as lots of flowing locks n perms a plenty when i wor a lad !!

Congratulations and welcome Tahina , im sure your professional experience will utilized to the full in the coming months.

I noticed on the club website the club is also advertising for a Financial administrator (no comment) and a head chef, just being nosy i opened the link for the chef job description and who ever takes that baby on will be a very busy Scunny Bunny.

IB your last line … “doing my work for me ” ..so to you in your words this crusade against DH is a job ????.. i thought you were just a bystander.

You are giving Pat grief for coming on SM and being a DH cheerleader whilst not being a Scunny fan yet you feel its ok for you to engage on Bru and elsewhere all be it as you profess only as an interested bystander and not a Scunny fan to spread negativity bordering on a real hatred of DH with the sole purpose to damage him for exact reasons you still need to openly confirm.

BTW ..Your regular use of the term “people like you” needs to be reigned in as using it gives the impression of being a pompous know all.

IMO not speaking for anyone else but i am finding your constant attacks very tedious now ,the information you offer may be true or false accurate or not but just what do you expect them achieve what is your end goal ??

As as a life long Scunny fan i know whatever happens in the future will happen and there is very little any grass roots supporters can do to change it .. your constant DH vitriol has only one aim which if does happen will allow you to puff out yer chest and say i told you so … alas where will that leave the club and the fans that love it so much..of which you are not one.

This is a football fan forum and should not be used as political platform to gratify ones obsessions.

Can we play a bit more nicely? This is getting a bit vitriolic.

Well said. It’s boring and tedious.

If you need to throw insults about because you haven’t got any evidence to challenge a different opinion then you have lost the debate.

As for Iron Insider, far be it for me to fight his battles but he was on the money regarding the payments (or lack of) to the pension provider (as Hilton confirmed) and the situation regarding GP.

Never one to miss a chance of a quick DH dig ey IB .. i have a hunch you are in cass’ anti 4% category

sorry to remain off topic again as im guessing Hendo hasnt been in any of the following places but …

Indeed theres a blast from the past Frod rd .. loved it going down as far as Honest Lawyer , Blue Bell then the Brit .. all those Indian restaurants and my favourite location was Wilsons Chippy , there was many moons ago the Polish Club on the corner at Ferry rd end.

Cant recall the name of the bar more or less opposite the Brit next to Brit corner public bogs .. a Greek fella had it i think ??…oh and Berkley bar,Pickwicks ,Taverin in Town, Garbos Henrys Cocked Hat while reminiscing… my pub of choice after a shift was The Queens on Rowland Rd.

Out of that lot how many are still open , my daughter said loads of pubs closed in Scunny.

we will know more come this Saturday .. to be fairer lets say by the end of August after 2 away and 2 home fixtures it should be clearer how the season may pan out .. top middle of bottom.

IMO a bit daft for some to have firstly called JD a pub league coach and now it seems for others hes a managerial genius just cos of a decent pre season…

hes being given his chance so lets see how it goes.

    I remain optimistic.

Word is, Iron Insider is correct to have started this thread.

Sounds ominous SNOT … hope all the staff are paid on time …today

Whilst i am trying to remain positive at all times i did read this interesting comment posted on another site..i copied n pasted it below , question does it hold any water ??
    *****************************
It is an interesting one. Other clubs in NLN may not see this as a level playing field as SUFC are effectively squatters. Would they have been able to assemble that squad if the stadium had been purchased at the price agreed. Of course they wouldn’t. The club are nominally insolvent, but Hilton is able to underwrite the debts because he hasn’t had to cough up £3 million for the stadium and land. Could other clubs cry foul as they have avoided administration and a points deduction only by becoming a squatter on someone else’s land?

No matter how much of a cVnt Swann is, and he’s complete one, he is still entitled to be paid for the land and stadium. Even if those assets hadn’t been transferred away from the club ownership, he would have still wanted paying for them as part of the deal to sell the club.

    *******************************

I would point out also on the same platform one guy reckons Jimmy Dean is an icecream man, a comment i found strange as surely JD couldnt find the time to juggle that along with taking the Iron to promotion… i am partial to a Mr Whippy 99 though

During the coronation and Queen’s death there was saturated coverage and some people put flags out. I understand why, and have nothing against national mourning for the figurehead or celebration at the coronation, but some don’t like it. It would be wrong to act on the whims of those who don’t like it to spoil others’ fun. Just do what republicans do during such times; ignore it. No-one’s forcing others to participate.

a fair point SID but a monarchs death and subsequent coronation are for the most part a once in a lifetime or very most a generation event where as this hair flicking look at me Pride stuff is being rammed at you at every juncture and at such a prolific rate unlike rare major events making it very hard to avoid.
I do have strong attitude to this issue with the most recent experience solidifying my opinion as whilst cabined up between the heavy rain downpours i nipped to 7 11 for some supplies only to be accosted by a group of what i can only describe as very colourful scantily clad fruitcakes direct from the nearby pride knees up ,one with GAY written on its chest as if that wasnt obvious enough… now i am a very tolerant person and all that im ok with just leave me alone but when the larger village people policeman lookalike started to molest and annoy me i had to politely ask him to fook off then i automatically became a homophobic monster.

I am neither a racist or homophobic my missus is mix race and kids are a dark chocolate brown colour we have numerous friends who are gay lesbian trans and one even who identifies as a Grimsby fan.

All this be careful what you say and ..you cant say that never happened in the good old days of chicken in a basket and Camp coffee ..the world is going bonkers and im told even Little Britain has been cancelled for depicting real life in the guise of humour ..sacre bleu

Anyway enough of this Plyiron is correct BACK TO THE FOOTY …. im predicting a ever growing parade of EPL EFL “stars” heading to Saudi as for sure even without a rainbow theres a pot of gold waiting for them. ( see what i did there :) )

I shall leave my Tamworth predictions until closer to the big KO ..

Great movie .. some Hannibal Lector quotes

“A piss Taker Once Tried To Test Me. I Ate His Liver With Some Fava Beans And A Nice Chianti.”

“Well, Clarice. its 2-0 Have The Lambs Stopped Screaming?”

“It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin Or Else It Goes to Grimsby Again!”

“I Must Confess To You, I’m Giving Very Serious Thought … To Eating a pulled pork stuffing roll!”

“Oh, And Dave, Just One More Thing. Love Your Scunny shirt!”

” Tell me MR codhead did you breast feed ? toughens yer nipples doesnt it”

    Last one

“Quid Pro Quo. Yes Or No?” AA .. changes his DH/JD opinion more often than his Y fronts…

Evidently Scunthorpe (not utd) are having a pride event, sick of it already rainbow flags and wears all over in the market I hope it pisses down on their parade.

Just had a whole PRIDE MONTH here with as you say rainbows everywhere along with pubs serving rainbow cocktails and some very weird n wonderful attire on parade.

Now im not a bender and also in no way offended by anyones chosen path with regard to sexuality be it gay lesbian or transgender lady boy etc etc …HOWEVER as a run ov the mill guy constantly having it thrown in your face at every juncture is literally impossible to avoid and really tedious… Semms to me the closets must be emptying quicker nowadays as these LGBT events are becoming more n more prolific … IMO a whole month is just bonkers tho im told it was well received by the purveyors of KY jelly.

Back on topic …. lots more to follow Hendo and the money to SA .. Sad Mane and the Maxin guy from Newcastle next on the plane and who can blame them at the crazy wages being offered.

Agreed with all above ..IMO the squad is 99% complete and been impressed will all the new signings however twood be nice to sign a Billy Sharp type of player … whats the word on the Scunny streets the GP goss .. how likely is it ?

JD must have a pretty good idea of his starting 11 and im guessing a selection headache or two in the future , its been quite some time since most positions having excellent covering options.

Suffice to say i hope we hit the ground running n have a decent season.

ive only seen highlights and read what Scunny fans are saying but seems most of all the new signings have impressed , some slightly more than others .. example Barrows has not had many mentions.

Add on Elliot Wilson Ogle Butters Beestin and Shrimpton and its a dam tasty side that should make for a successful season ahead.. players like Pugh Rance DSF and the youngsters (Poulter n Robertson) may find it hard to get into the first team regularly

As said 2 good solid keepers Fitz number 1 with chappo as cover bodes well.

My personal fav of the newbies is Clunan

Some of the members of the cult of Dave are having their judgement clouded.
Judges only deal with the law, not what’s best for football supporters.
As for Mr Loophole, I can’t imagine any judge will be swayed by his tactics.
As much as none of us want the outcome, I don’t see anything other than Swann coming out of this absolute debacle on top.

I agree … High court judges award cases based on the detail of the law within the facts of the case nothing else ..alas if i were a betting man my 50p would sadly be on Swan / Coolsilk as legal owners of GP to win.
