Always good to see it from the outside – supporters can see it less clear (either for or against things). I couldn’t fault the article (small typo’s aside). I guess we will have to wait and see how it all plays out.

As a player, if Hippolyte is in front of you, you’ve got to be asking some serious questions of yourself

Rochdale look dangerous down Pugh’s side – unfair on him to keep putting him in there.

O’Malley has a better all round game / has an excellent delivery – however we have nobody to deliver it to now that Loft has gone off.

I never like to jinx prior to the match but that team looks weaker than most NL teams.

Why not play a RB? Why not play O’malley.

What next? Iron Trust banned from selling badges no doubt, we’ve had Max Bell banned from going to the ground, no one from the Telegraph allowed in. Whatever his views a letter from lawyers banning you from the ground is quite frankly ridiculous.

Must’ve saved money on mortar – the way Lichfield crashed his car through the wall would suggest a very thin bond!

I think the move to GP was out of necessity. Birse did it as a loss leader to try and capture the out of town purpose built stadia which came about around the time of Hillsboro.

I haven’t met one iron fan who wouldn’t swap it for OSG. It was a fantastic place to watch football. Every one of my mates who doesn’t support Scunny has a story about the OSG. I reckon 80-90% of the town went at some point in their lives to OSG

The debt the club amassed? I assume its £11m, this was the figure given by some.

If you build a £25m stadium you have an asset of value whether you like it or not. It is not dependent upon who the purchaser maybe and whether they want the stadium. If the stadium is worthless why not gift it to the fans or the community with a covenant? Why transfer a supposedly worthless asset? Under Wharton – many years ago it was valued at several £m.

The £1.7m figure came from social media in the public domain, will happily retract the figure when the club confirms the size of the loan. Clearly if the loan is much lower Peter can soon clear it and we can come out of the transfer embargo.

So if you buy £1m house on land worth £200k you only have a £200k asset? Thankfully I have a better accountant…..

you mentioned COVID affected us more than others but then go on to say why are we a special case so you’ve sorted that one out yourself.

Last season was the most important, skirting with relegation all season, following the same logic then this would then surpass last season as being the most important one if we don’t get things right. It sometimes works out like that….

I’ve heard we’re getting new flags however they will first be used as industrial sized dusters to clean the pigeon shit and general filth from the stadium seating.

he also said he has enquiries about the club all the time

    so that’s clear….

We need more than a new keeper Les, we need at least two strikers (O’Neill is Miller – time will prove this) Jarvis KDT nowhere near the club. Listening to Cox worries me. He kept Green on even though he was physically sick, he admits he has no one on the bench to change matches he needs strikers/flair players but with injuries now may change his plans.

Crisis after one game and people say calm down…… this position isn’t one game in the making it is result of the state the club is in. The state of the chairmanship.

Just look the ground the dust on the seats, the blocked drains, the bombed out car park, the tatty flags, the empty seats, the state of the pitch,

But as UTI/Swann say – its fans not coming in that will relegate us

I see the issue as goals. Defence looks OK and midfield is Ok. We do lack spark/creativity in there. It’s the attack that worries me – as it stands now I see a 4-4-1-1 at best. Loft getting isolated then dropping deep to pick the ball up and not very long after casting a forlorn figure. A la last season.

Without a foil for loft we will lack shots on target – a massive achilles heel for us last season.

The squad is full of committed guys who will keep going. What this means is our heads won’t drop at 2-0 down. If we don’t supplement the squad with some flair and attacking prowess then its going to be a struggle.

Pitch looks to be a bit mottled and will be threadbare fairly soon. The region is blessed with the best turf in the land but no doubt Swann acquired some during his wilko shelf stacking days 😂

last pre-season went quite well. Some
who played well ended up being wage thieves/donkeys. One would hope that now a footballing man is making footballing decisions that we take some optimism into the league season and we can get to a solid mid table position.

Don’t forget Swann said ‘he started to run the channels well’ just before he was injured so I would expect him to be around for a while yet, those channels won’t be the same without him

My thinking would be if we had sold 750 I would publicise a push to a 1,000. The fact that the club is not naming any figures would make that unlikely. I hope it is near the 750 mark but we this season appears to be a holding pattern prior to liquidation.

And how many ‘fans not customers’ are left do you reckon? With the current wrecking ball management probably around half what we would expect. They’ve done nothing to entice people back – it’s almost as if they have other plans for the football club

Pure coincidence fans forum comes out just before press release transfer embargo (club didn’t bother breaking the news).

Part of conditions maybe to assure fans about the viability of the club and getting a voice?

Highly unlikely that the vice like grip will be loosened.

Kind of like applying for the Diversity Officer’s role in the Third Reich

understand it is more about the EFL loan due to COVID, relatively few took it and now conditions on transfers – free agents and loans OK but cannot buy and wages need to be reasonable (whatever that means)

This is my take so maybe not exactly spot on. Whatever it is we are one of 3 clubs in the league who are under it (Oldham Swindon)

I fear it will only be speculation and the truth may never come out. Possibly the stadium naming rights, the transfer of assets, some loan arrangement with Coolsilk. Whatever it is its just another sad mark on the history of the club,

If we cannot bring anybody in (and I don’t know the details behind it) then we are relegated.

Time for a statement from the club

It does feel like a team aiming for a 0-0. We still have no attacking competency in the club and a couple of positive players in the club would help. Cox said Millen likes to get forward – but to what? A lone striker who can’t control a football!

I think the fans will be to blame no matter what, when the COVID train finally runs out of steam

I agree that Morecambe isn’t the best example I just happened across their ticket sales and how they discount the tickets the more they sell and thought that is so far away from our set up.
