Spot on Sharp Shooter.
We cannot sleepwalk into ‘I’m just grateful I’ve got a club to support’ territory. yes we are all grateful and it’s wonderful to talk about on the pitch stuff but if we slip into mediocre football and mid table obscurity in NLN, long term it won’t work. We need to be at teams from minute one – far too cautious and lacking any plan B when things don’t go our way.
If result was isolated then fair enough but we’ve been poor for a long time now, more so away from home. Thoroughly outplayed at times, we need to have a good season.

We need to have a serious conversation about the manager. He has passion and desire in spades. Don’t doubt he has Scunny running through his veins but tactically he’s just not there. We don’t have the cash to get somebody new in (I doubt) but we need somebody to maybe try and oversee or a decent number 2. Dean gets outthought every week by part timers.

Maybe they had to close off channels the previous owner had to get the money, might be a hiatus until they put back online ensuring all the money goes to the right place.
I’d like to see Elliot more central, I fell he’s a bit lost in the wide position in the 4-3-3. I think he’d get back to his best centrally and a couple of goals behind him.
away we go – it isn’t dense to use what you have to buy time – papers, as you say have to presented in October, no doubt by a legally qualified person, several of which sit on the board of directors. pro bono
Court case not due until Jan-march? if he’s dropping out then why now – just leave it until the day before by which time other plans with other parties might have come to fruition. what Scunny need is time.
move to Gainsborough you may as well close the club down.

Please don’t let that be the last game at GP. Dire doesn’t get anywhere near it
DH needs to just stay away from social media, it helps neither his outlook mor his well being. These algorithms are designed to do just that. I wish him no harm, he’s not ideal but neither is the alternative. Catch-22, we’ll just have to watch rugby, cricket, or do some gardening on Saturdays and remember the good old days. At least the bru boys will save some money on hosting this website.
waterlogged and unplayable / ball couldn’t run true and damgerous for players. As said before should’ve been called off 5 minutes before. No sympathy for Buxton- they could’ve won without all the time wasting

Just to clarify my point above – I have been the one in mediations – not Swann (i have no idea if he has)
I guess 7p/week was the agreement until the sale concluded (1p a day seems to be the case). The interesting but was the judge wanting to know the issues – in short what the problem is? Swann wanted £3m for land worth half that – and funnily enough wanted £1.5m before any searches (is what I have gleaned from various sources – but heavily caveated by this just being my opinion).
The mediation is a key point – Swann didn’t want it but, having been in mediations before, is a key step in the dance to a settlement. Swann resisting ADR is let in my opinion – in that he feels he isn’t as confident in his position as some people would like him to be.
Just shy of 1,500, circa 450 from Donny
First time I’ve seen them today, look fairly tidy defensively, compact and robust – didn’t give a league two side much. A bit lightweight up top but not a bad performance all round. Was quite feisty at times which isn’t a bad thing.
Leaving the ground you could tell it was school holidays

Sounds like things were agreed but then searches found this ransom strip and it got a bit messy. If Swann wins is he going to try and sell some land which has a ransom strip preventing potential development. I think it is a case of two parties falling out and letting the courts decide. Maybe its a nice little smoke screen to cover off the gambling story….good thing is it will hopefully come to a swift(er) resolution and we can give the players the clarity they need to lose matches purely on footballing terms.
Pre season is an assessment of the squad – it only offers a very small glimpse into the season ahead. Having said that I don’t think JD has a clue what he’s doing but he’ll get a good portion of the season to demonstrate it. That’s not based on preseason as I’ve seen none of it.
So the next set of accounts will incorporate DH input
Pre season won’t mean much but if JD cannot get a tune out of the squad he’ll be gone by October. For now he can muck about all he wants.
So Swann has a ransom strip? Let’s face it he didn’t know whether the lease was 99 or 999 year lease! Remember the lease which gauranteed SUFC a home no matter what. The guy is using Bru just like he used the goodwill of the town. I’m not defending Hilton here but giving this individual any kind of platform is wrong, I bet even GB news wouldn’t go near him.
Swann, the man who didn’t pay his staff’s wages, blamed a nasty bookies for losing his money, the beacon of truth. Everything he has said in his statement has been brought about by himself in the horrific management of the club, finds an outlet for his nonsense. What a hideous position the club is in having to survive in between all this nonsense. The demise of the club
cannot be that far away and you can pick whoever you want to blame dependant on your agenda. But lets not forget this position is due to Swann and it may be finished off by another but that wouldn’t take
much considering the state of the club.3 users thanked author for this post.

Seems to me that a lot is in limbo at the
minute but them the players coming in and being linked to the club look good but then off the field (which is generally why we’re in this mess) it looks a bit all over the place at the minuteApril 29, 2023 at 9:34 pm in reply to: For Pity’s Sake When Is The Very Short Retained List Announced? #261326He claimed they didn’t listen to him and there was no difference between part time footballers and full time (only on a Tuesday). To his credit he apologised for not being good enough but if we start poorly again with his players its not a done deal that we’ve finished dropping
Blyth Spartans getting relegated from NLN with 11 wins.
Dean, no matter what players, won’t get 11 wins next season. Getting subs right is great when you’re 3-0 down. His is devoid of any tactics or football knowledge. Experience in NLN is another red herring. If Hilton (or SUFC) is around for the summer he needs to start afresh or give Nelson his chance he should’ve got before1 user thanked author for this post.
100% passion
0% intelligenceThats what we’ve got in the manager.
The strange one is the chairman – he must see Dean out of his depth, the players giving up, the lack of in game tactical changes, the fact he seems to struggle to interview well. The thought of getting all of Dean’s players in over the close season strikes fear into me. Suggesting a person who had half a season in NLN for a part time team has the experience is equally terrifying.
We need to look at them as musical instruments some are average some are terrible but- looking at Whitehouse –
its the person responsible for getting a tune out of them – that’s the problem. The guy is beyond clueless and as far as I can see would struggle getting a tune out of a tambourine1 user thanked author for this post.
I’d just stick with Hallam and that’s it. Just to be able to keep the physio full time.

Part time manager, part time owner. Expected nothing less than managed relegation. Both way out of their depth. Pugh and shrimptom play well win 4-1 nowhere near the first team since. This is not going to end well – merely delaying the inevitable from Swann’s tenure

Lavery would be great under Dean, slotting into that left back position

Lots of theories on twitter about deadlines to buy ground off Swann being missed and Hilton now removing himself from that platform(not a bad thing really). All I know is that it is all a bit strange – we’ll see where May gets us.
Maybe this is not over by a long way.
