They never shut up about the tragedy chanting, but not a word on their fans booing the national anthem.

    Agree ….

Scousers Gone down in my estimations ..

Yes i am a royalist but dont have an issue with anyone that isnt .. booing your national anthem is out of order.

I’m not entirely convinced that “God Save the King” can be classified as a national anthem, is it?

When he played for us, he used to lean so far forwards over the ball, I actually thought he was doing impersonations of some guy from Notre Dame.

He described his football ability as “brainless”. 😂
We’ve got a few of those.

I think if the police did its job and investigated corruption by this Government they would find evidence that would land several Tory MPs in jail.

You’re talking about the Met here.

Club employees have not received any pension contributions into their pension pots for FOUR MONTHS despite monthly contributions coming out of their pay packets and yet super Dave believes it is appropriate to turn up in a new Rolls Royce. Max bell will be frothing at the mouth considerin he was so vocal about Mr Swannees horses.

Seem to remember British Steel taking an elongated holiday from contributing to our pensions.

Of course Keith Houchen, in his book “A Tenner and a Box of Kippers”, famously called Scunthorpe fans as “A bunch of miserable gits”.

I’m afraid that if the Act of Settlement remains in our constitution (such as it is) regardless of the Perth Agreement, talk of prejudice and discrimination by our leaders sound hypocritical.

    4-2-3-1 is old hat now.
    Things have moved on.

The best club in the world, Real Madrid have won 14 European Cups / Champions League and deploy a 4-3-3

    As do Barcelona.

    As (primarily) do Man City

    And, Liverpool

    And, and, and…

The 4-2-3-1 reached its pinnacle between 2008-12 with the Spanish national team.

Jimbob probably did his coaching badges and read the bumf a decade ago when this formation was de rigueur and conquering the world.

    4-2-3-1 (history)
Juanma Lillo, a Spanish coach currently working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, is credited with being the first proponent of this system. A largely unknown but nonetheless revolutionary coach, Lillo was a major early influence on Guardiola, having taken charge of his first La Liga club, Salamanca, in 1992, aged just 29. It was here that he began advocating for the 4-2-3-1 shape.

    #######

As I’ve said above… things have moved on since then.

4-3-3 would better suit the ‘calibre’ of player this club employs.

    Time for a change Jimbob.

    And England 1966.

    “England’s wingless wonders”.

As previously commented by Awaywego reading on SM that DH was abused by fans whilst in his car with his family , one (via a trusted source) suggesting hes contemplating walking away already.. could this be the route he needed to do so if the money still owed for GP isnt on hand…this could get real messy even worse talk of Swan returning is a toe curling thought.

He’ll have to change his number plate if he leaves.

Are we likely to see any more Raab style managers in football now the snowflakes have got their way with him, would be such a shame if we never saw the likes of Lawsy and Fergie again, I wouldn’t have lasted 5 mins being a shop steward (have I mentioned I was a shop steward before?) the way you have to be politically correct nowadays and all this nicey nicey stuff.

What’s this got to do with football?

I think the bigger picture is the fact that a huge news corporation will pay a huge amount of money out rather than air it’s dirty laundry in a courtroom. The internal memos and WhatsApp’s flying around Fox News over the last few years stating that they had to protect their business model over telling their American audience the truth is quite staggering. Their share price will only drop a small amount and they are cash rich to the sum of around $4 billion dollars but at the end of the day they are a news organisation that the wider American public ( not their right wing paying customers) now know that Fox News are a politically lying news organisation, that will count to the swing voters who represent the most important vote in the majority of elections worldwide. There is also another case being prepared against Fox News in a similar vein to this which is just over the horizon, as we say a lot about politics in the USA, interesting times ahead.

Strangely enough some people want to believe the lies because it suits their narrative, the truth is irrelevant to them.
The biggest casualty is democracy, without truth it just doesn’t work.

One worrying aspect is the support for Putin from the far right of conservative political parties, not so much here but certainly in America and other countries. Very similar to their support for Hitler pre war. Of course there was even support for Hitler here pre war.

don’t be ridiculous, do you know how many died in that war,?

It’s fact, I would go as far as to say that members of the royal family admired Hitler in the 30s, also fact.

Tonight is most probably going to be our last supper in the NL.
Lent saw us continue the process of giving up our NL status.
We can empathise with the Passion of the Christ in our love in the plight of our SUFC.
If I had enough Maundy Money (attention Arnault [worlds wealthiest person £211 Billion], Gates, Musk etc) I’d buy the club and put it in a perpetual trust with an allowance of £10M a year to cover costs.
We are the Eucharistical Disciples of SUFC and we will continue our worship and to take the blessed wine & bread at Glanford Park.
Our crucifixion will take place 3,300 miles from Calvary Hill.
We aren’t expecting any earthquakes tomorrow (Dead Sea earthquake during the crucifixion) up at Gateshead.
The Angel of the North will oversee our passing.

    It’s all the threes again.

    3 points for a win.
    3 pm kick off
    3,300 miles

Christ passed away at 3pm on the 3rd of April, AD33

I’m off to get my feet washed and to see if I can pick up a shekel or three.

    God bless SUFC!

Did I imagine it but were the Torquay players out on their heels for the last ten minutes, having put in a real shift? Ours weren’t because we didn’t.

It’s the age old problem, the defence has to have confidence in the goalie, the goalie had to have confidence in the defence. It then goes up through the team. If the confidence isn’t there the team sits deeper and deeper.

Heath was one of my favourites too, but they have got the right man in the middle!!

I remember his response to going one nil down to Sheffield Wednesday, he rattled their bar with one of his rasping shots.

The worldwide migration crisis now is only the tip of the iceberg.
As places throughout the world become impossible to live in, for one reason or another, what choice do they have but to move? The majority towards the north.
We need to get used to it and prepare.
