What about Stills, Nash and Young?

Let’s be right, bill has turned into alcy, “I will post a video and everyone will think I’m clever”, no bill, your just coming over as rather sad which has been the impression you give off for quite a while now.
Such a shame at that age, one of our classiest players in the nineties and really stood out as the best player we had at that time. I believe we sold him to West Brom without him even knowing about it and Bill Green said, “great eh, we narrowly lose a play off final and they sell my best player”, Bill was not impressed and quite right too, RIP Ian, top player.
When I saw the thread title I immediately thought ironeye was promoting his autobiography.

Harsh but predictable NI.
Would been a lot of excitement if we’d drawn Cleggy or Lincoln away just missed Cleggy by one ball.
Is that excitement or excrement Awaywego, never sure with you sometimes?😂

I was just a bit too young for Barrie first time round ..but fanatical by the time he came back. I remember some guy near me in Fox Street at the Luton game saying ..probably fairly ..’Aye but he’s not the player he was!’ We won 8-1 and Barrie scored 5.
Same here JI, remember the Luton game but I was only ten so it’s a little vague in places. Do remember the Luton keeper looking thoroughly pissed off with proceedings, aswell he might 😂

Well this really did put a smile on my face!
…and the clubhouse you were in last week discussing Ilkeston was……?
Indeed NI which bill will lap up ad nauseam, preaching to the converted is a tried and tested method on many levels and proves absolutely nothing.
Paul Simon would love that one Siderite, right chaps altogether now, a quick rendition of Slip Sliding Away. 😂
More proof, if indeed anymore proof is required, that bill is just a cultist and as a result his endless repetitive claims and denials are perfect examples of cultish behaviour.
11712 BS 😳 bloody hell they’ll be hanging bare arsed from the pylons to see it then. Awaywego will feel properly at home 😂

You don’t need to or have to like any football club owner, you just want them to run your club in a reasonable sustainable manner and not run it into the ground.

See I now you thank.

Threw his cap to the floor in frustration apparently after our fourth goal according to Gareth, I believe most managers in this division will admit they have got their hands full when playing the Iron this season and I admire their honesty.
It’s ok Jerry, I know it takes awhile for you to absorb information but you can stop repeating yourself now.
If you believe Hilton has the financial clout to get the deal done, it should all be plain sailing.
As I see it, unless someone drops three big ones in Hilton’s lap or the newly appointed directors chuck £300K-£400K a piece in the pot (which isn’t going to happen), the elephant in the room remains.
I see Simon Elliott has taken to social media to back his man. Perhaps Simon could start the ball rolling and be the first to donate £300K-£400K to help fund the purchase of GP.
So which was the clubhouse you were in the other night when you were discussing Ilkeston and Alan Hardy, you never did say?
Work it out Xxx, me and Ironawe are “one of the same” split personalities I joined one day and my alter ego joined the next, our birthdays are in July and we’re both 68. Hope that clears things up.
Must be some split personality as my birthday is in June but we both are 68:-)
Do you still run out the ground and get the balls kicked over the stand Jerry?, never saw you go Monday when those two got booted out over the 95 minutes, ” Jerry Jerry ” what a classic chant that was back in the day.
Will start to become clearer after the first ten games, it usually does, a very good start by the Iron and despite a few injuries the squad as a whole has performed well so far. Rumour going round ( yes it might be bollocks ) that a championship midfielder who can’t currently get a game at his club may be coming in the next week. Now that would be a big deal for a NLN club
Rather sexist for you there Ironawe.
Apologies, you sprang into my thoughts when I was writing the post 😜

Genuine question Fansy, does your device have sticking keys on the screen or do you just rush your post and therefore the spelling is quite often poor?
No Steve I meant when he fell over like a big fanny and claimed he’d been tripped.

Yep ..there’s always a downside to every glimmer IB… if you look hard enough and really want it.
I noticed IB’s last thread he started about Ilkeston didn’t get many posts, just one from me I believe and he never answered that one question I asked him, what ya gonna do?

First thing is why would such a ridiculously low sum be paid in the first place? Is it lack of dialogue between the two parties involved?, has Hilton tried to get a rental deal in place and Swann refused?, so many unknown answers and as usual the fans are left with guessing what the reality actually is between Swann and Hilton but the situation is blatantly and clearly bloody ridiculous.

bill will be huge Denis Potter fan, after all he wrote the seventies tv series Pennies From Heaven, well where else would pennies come from?, nice on Denis
So once again ironinsider/ ironeye is found wanting about the fate of SUFC, we were apparently out on our arse today according to him a short while back. I will put that comment from him in the same file as , won’t kick a ball at GP this season, won’t see a single new player signed play for us this season and won’t be seen wearing a new kit this season. Ironinsider/ ironeye early season report just out, must try harder and pay more attention to what is actually going on 😂

Good call on the attendance, Ironfromafar. I thought you’d overestimated by at least 600. A surprisingly good following from Scarborough but even so today shows the appetite and potential within the town.
I believe it’s called game management, players were getting tired ( on both sides TBF ) but our midfield looked leggy and Whitehall needed a break from falling over. Stiffened the defence with the introduction of Boyce who looked very comfortable and should have scored with that header from a corner. Correct management from Jimmy IMO, 4-1 was a very good well managed win.

Whitehall is a strange one for such a big lad, he goes down far too easy and is always looking for the foul instead of going for goal. The second half one when he was virtually through on goal then fell over like he was pole axed was pathetic, the ref got the decisions around Whitehall’s so called fouls against just about right IMO, the ref however overall was poor. I know it’s from a different time and laws have changed over the years but Steve Torpey would have had that Scarborough centre back for breakfast, dinner and tea after the first twenty minutes. Agree about Whitehall, grow up FFS.

Great win, great crowd, great atmosphere, crap ref but most importantly Shrimpton passed the test today. Well played young man now make that position yours or at least give Jimmy a tough decision to make when others are fit again.
