Surely a mixture of styles is the hallmark of a good side?, many commentators wax lyrical over Man City’s style of passing football and possession but when De Bruyne knocks a 50 yard through ball for a rampaging Haaland to run onto it’s still a long ball, despite it being called an exquisite pass on MOTD. I would certainly like to see a more aggressive style in midfield and balls being knocked into channels for Elliot to chase aswell as Roberts ( when fit ) intricate tricky wing play being used. As was mentioned we need more balls consistently into the box and aggression shown to get on the end of them and convert them into goals

Very nervy interview after the game, he was in super scratch mode which tells me he’s starting to feel the pressure now. Desperately sorry for the guy because his heart and intentions are brilliant but there is something missing with this squad of players and he’s struggling to work out what it is, Saturday could be pivotal.

You could say the same about HMRC.

Difference is that with HMRC most people don’t have a choice when it comes to paying out and you know it’s coming, with the bookies the choice is entirely voluntary when it comes to having a punt.

I’d be surprised if Dean went till the end of the season no matter where we finish in the league. It was never going to be as easy as some made out, once on the slippery slope it takes awhile to regain your feet and we’ve been on that slope 6 years and counting. Yes the great man not too impressed with our current leading scorers attitude or application ( again ) today, let’s hope Elliot gets the nod on Tuesday. McAlinden sounded alright and his versatility on the pitch should be a big asset in the final games of the season. Would start Pugh and Elliot on Tuesday for Whitehall and Butterfield just to put more energy in midfield and up front and maybe bring the young loan winger on earlier if things aren’t working out. An away point is always welcome, let’s hope it’s three at South Shields.

Name calling, how very simplistic, you need perhaps to look at yourself from time to time and how you respond to others. Didn’t take you long to return when your view about what was said and how you responded was challenged with a few home truths about how others perceived some of said responses. Sometimes you come across bristling with indignation and do adopt a high horse stance, it’s an opinion based on a long observation over quite a few years and many subjects discussed but hey ho you carry on and others will respond accordingly. Perhaps you prejudge a response because you have been brought to book several times over the years by others known privately to you about how you react when matters are discussed . How long do you have to inhabit a country before you can say that you came from there? 30,000 years seems a pretty long time to me, however we can swap opinions forever but nothing is going to change soon in the Middle East and I thought the Indian connection was pretty relevant in terms of how they were treated after being there so long but I understand you will have a different narrative and opinion to which you are rightly entitled but it gets us in the never ending stalemate cycle where a lot of threads naturally end up. It’s called debate and discussion which is so vital in a democracy.
