The linesman on the main stand side gave a few push fouls by Boston players on our lads but the final one in extra time which was bang in front of him he completely ignored, very strange. Moments later he called the ref over and after a short chat the ref reported something occurring to our bench and chief steward, I’m guessing maybe some racial abuse may have been the issue but I’ve not heard anything on that score TBF.
Thanks guys I don’t go hunting Facebook and hadn’t heard anything on Humberside, will have a catch up, cheers.
Look nothing is a given in football but considering the quality of the squad based on a massive budget compared to the rest of the divisions clubs and the fact plenty on here and in the ground on match day have stated we should have comfortably won the title then JD has to be moved on. Yes he’s a really nice guy and genuinely loves and wants the best for this football club but he’s way short on tactical nous for getting the best out of these players in this division, he’s been out thought too many times by better manager’s with poorer squads and in the best interests of this football club going forward he has to leave. Sorry Jimmy, nice guy with a great heart but you are not good enough for this football club.

Did JD give any post match interviews after yesterday’s defeat?, obviously nothing on the website which is ominous but only heard Torps give his after match account whilst waiting to exit the car park after the game on Humberside. His response when asked about Jimmy’s future was the classic ” the board will discuss and come to a decision they think appropriate for the club ” etc etc which is pretty bog standard TBF, what else could he say really?

The WHAM segment could be debated lol
All it needed was a ” Glanford Park/ Attis Arena in 2023/24 ” and your account would be perfect. Yes I’m aware you’ll enjoy the pedantic nature of my post Rene.

Only a Beatles atheist wouldn’t know 64.
Understandably a lot of anger on here tonight and as a result probably a lot of comments are not as objective as they should be, that’s fair enough, anger can do that to a lot of opinion straight after an event that causes such passion and feeling. I would say it was a collective failing of the whole team and management over the season that led to today’s display on the field, we were simply not good enough when it came to the big occasion games or consistent enough to achieve the results this group of players should have been capable of getting. A disappointing end to a disjointed season but there was success and big success at that, our football club was saved and we still have a football club to watch because of that. Go away, lick your wounds and come back next season knowing you can watch a team from this town, win, lose or whatever but we still all have a football club. Thank you Michelle and the board for that.

Are we sure JD is out of contract?guy in the ground today said Simon Elliott had told him he was on a two year deal and would be here next season. Now you read all sorts of pap on here and get told plenty in the ground but I have no idea if this bit of news is true or not, anyone on here actually know?
I wonder if I am the only person on here to have seen Ella Fitzgerald live ?? UTWI
Your not the guy who helped her turn Manhattan into An Isle of Joy are you barrie?
Crozzer is a legend … and available
Watched the Iron since 1964 and Crozzer is one of the best centre backs I ever saw pull on an Iron shirt, watching him lead out the team with that broken nose and contemptuous look on his face was enough to scare me never mind the opposition. What a great leader and motivator he was for us.
Would it be one of our greatest ever central defenders who was an incredible penalty taker?
Well he was at the Kings Lynn game along with Russ Wilcox, Neil Cox and Brian Laws so……
Actually just got a mention about Saturday’s game on tonight’s Look North, PL must have been told to get his unbiased finger out.
Yeah I noticed the same but not sure why, also heard Peter Levy on Look North on Monday mention Hull, Lincoln, Grimsby and even Bostons fixture against Alfreton in a football round up but never mentioned the Iron. Wonder if we’ll get a mention on Saturday night after the game? probably only if Boston beat us.
I’m guessing Cliff that the season ticket holders seats who have not yet been purchased will remain greyed out till the Tuesday deadline then if not purchased they will become available for general sale and turn green but a lot of non season ticket holders seats in the main stand have already gone, the club want as many as possible in the ground for Saturday so it’s a no brainer many have already been sold, they are a business FFS and one that nearly went bang a few months back, they need all the money they can get as quickly as possible.

Actually SNOT is wrong about all the central greyed out seats being season ticket holders, several non season tickets were bought on Sunday online and mine is one of them. Going to be a big crowd I reckon.

Last thing the Scunny moron being thrown out on Iron Army footage needed was a glass of beer thrown in his face, he’d had enough of that down his neck in the first place, what a bellend.
Part of the reason VAR came in was due to pundits on shows like MOTD constantly going on about poor refereeing decisions, now the pundits moan about the people who control VAR on match days either informing or not informing referees when they should review certain incidents occurring during the game, it’s bonkers. Damned if you do damned if you don’t it’s a no win situation. VAR is just a machine, it gives marginal offsides because that’s how humans have set it up, all the controversy surrounding VAR is as always down to human interpretation and interference, JI is right they should have left things alone and allowed referees to sometimes make mistakes because guess what?, they are human after all.

We live in a greedy selfish world and the Premier League is a perfect example, it reflects a lot of human nature in the modern era, are we surprised?, no, do we want it to change?, yes, will it?, no, it is what it is the rich and powerful DGAF**k about anything but themselves.
Alfreton have the best manager in the league,Billy Heath.
The manager who should be our manager next season. Is he Terry’s son?, now there was a player.
Agreed IFA with most of that, would point out however that Hereford were not a poor side indeed they were a very good side with two excellent wingers and we came from behind to deservedly beat them in a cracking game. Would agree we need to perform for 90 minutes not just 45, still can’t fully work out why we have been so hot and cold over the season in such a lot of games.

Another win which maintains the good form result wise going into the playoffs. Lots of changes again today and the team next Saturday will look completely different to today’s starting eleven, let’s take the win and remember we are a much better side when playing at home. UTI.
Awaywego is roughly my age so I’m guessing he would have been there, remember some younger kids lining empty plastic coffee cups up on the DRE wall and pelting them over with hand made snow balls off the terrace, golden days plus it was bloody freezing.
Bloody hell Rene I remember watching the Iron knock Skelmersdale out of the FA Cup back in 1967 at the OSG, John Colquhoun and Frank Barton scored the goals in a 2-0 win. Bet mick, les, cass and Awaywego were there too.

Another couple of 2-0 defeats for the Cods and Sutton winning their last games by 2-0 each time would make things interesting but you would imagine the Cods can grab a point out of their last 6 available.
Funny how people twist things around and end up playing the victim, very Trump like.
