I reckon mid table is about as low as we’ll finish, anything above and better will be a bonus IMO.

Can’t decide whether Awaywego’s real name is Joey Barton or Greg Wallace?

It’s actually Billy Big Bollocks but only because he has extra strong lenses fitted on his glasses.

Most of the threads are meaningless on all forums, time to shut all forums down.

have you thought of watching grass grow or watching paint dry.

The Move watched the grass grow in 1967 and it made them a nice amount of money.

I think any promotion is followed by trepidation because we just don’t know how we will do in a higher standard and facing that standard having just lost a very good goalkeeper is understandable amongst some fans but hey guys that’s the challenge. In AB I believe we have a good young manager who is the first to admit he’s learning as he goes along and I think the majority accept that. We are here because of our current budget which is in place after previous years of living beyond our means and almost losing our football club in the process. We always knew it would be a long road back, we are where we are and we exist on the budget required to keep us alive, let’s just get behind the team and try to enjoy the ride, we still have a football club to follow never forget what we almost lost.

Quite an achievement by the Lionesses first major football trophy won abroad by any English National team. Hanging on a bit against a very good Spanish team but hey they couldn’t take penalties as good as our girls and that’s what matters. England’s keeper has had a great tournament and it’s nice to see the girls making history for an England team tonight, great stuff.

Butler did say post Spennymoor they were still working on defensive shape and there would be more sharpening things up in the next fortnight before the season starts. Isn’t pre season meant to be be about building up over a period, starting with fitness then more ball and tactical work, trying things out, trying players in different positions in different systems? I’m sure the managerial and coaching staff are working to a plan over a time period leading up to the big KO, still a fortnight left, after the first ten games of the new season we will know a lot more then we do up to now that’s for sure.

So Campbell was mostly a spectator but still managed to cost us a goal (again). Fear it’s going to be a long season ahead if he’s between the sticks.

Match report reads different but I guess you’d expect that, or would you?

That’s a joke Awaywego coming from the country of Trump the perpetual liar on social media, your alternative reality of the real world is as ever hilarious.

    It never rains in Halifax

Except when Scunny play a night game there and it’s wet and windy.

Agree with bill ( yes it happens occasionally ) the midfield enforcer role is something we have missed for several seasons now.

Only because there’s no local rag to ask the questions of the club 6 days a week.
Hardly the fault of social media it’s just that in all walks of life, it’s how you react to all events.
For all Yankee faults, nowadays if there’s an nasty event they’re straight on it within hours you know the background of the offenders and race good or bad.

And like has been said there keen enough to sell and give info on all duff products that which we could make are own mind up on.
At one bit last season they were giving the loan watch on how are players were fairing at other clubs, all good positive stuff both for the club and for us, so why shouldn’t the fans have info on run of the mill matters round the club.

Except in the case of the Southport Tragedy where social media misinformation early on led to rioting in the street and mosques being illegally attacked. Sometimes the misuse of social media based on misinformation and lies causes an awful lot of trouble.

Wow Watson will be so relieved he is at least getting a modicum of approval on this forum before the actual season starts.

Bloody hell those Lionesses don’t half know how to put us through it but once again they come from behind to win it in extra time. Agyemang is going to be a great England player because at 19 her attitude is brilliant, twice she has come on late and saved England. Italy defended well but once the equaliser went in England dominated and deserved it IMO. Some say a soft penalty but we have seen them given plenty of times before and tonight was the right time to give another one. Come on England win that final again.

At least the sponsors name seems to be central on the shirts tonight

The moaners will have to cross that one off their list then, guess they will be scrambling to find another.

Those of you moaning about the kit should have a look at the Forest Green kit. I don’t think many will sell.

The advantage of the FG shirt is you will be able to eat a section of it with some tofu at half time, nothing wasted.

Quite like a bit of mango chutney with my curry and there are some excellent chutney’s out there that go well with cheese and biscuits. PS don’t forget the port with the cheese and biscuits, stilton of course.

The only thing Watson is proven at in the league is shipping goals for fun. There’s a reason he’s only played 14 games since he left us in 2022.

Yet clubs keep giving him playing contracts, strange.

One of WG’s better posts I’d say.

    Thank you, sir.

He was taking the piss I believe.

Cheers for pointing that out to me, I’ll stop patting myself on the back now.

cass is a good leg puller, it’s a generational thing you wouldn’t understand WG.

It always amazes me that wonder goals has never been in a position of power at league status instead of assistant at a pub team I have now seen why

Don’t be fooled, in his head he’s managed England to several World Cup wins, a real fountain of knowledge about the game

Guess it’s all about the money, this will be the benchmark for the club as it tries to climb the league structure, if we can’t afford it we ain’t having it.

I don’t see any issue with male or female pundits appearing on men’s and women’s football programmes talking about the games they are watching, it’s 2025 FFS, people create agendas when there aren’t any IMO, only in certain people’s heads.
