Well if AB continues to set up similar to the opposition as in long ball pointless shite like against Alfreton then surely he will set up to play football on the floor and hopefully get crosses in from both wings, isn’t that how Hereford play their football?

Hmm, jumpers for goalposts, Bob Steels and Tom Taylor in the Telegraph, Saturday late edition, Spot the Ball competition…isn’t it?

Bloody hell Spot the Ball takes you back. Bloke I knew for years would stick a pin in the STB picture in multiple places, convinced he would hear the air escaping when his pin punctured the invisible ball. Always caused a laugh in the pub when someone trotted that one out.

Bemused that this whole ‘terrible interview’ thing was mentioned on BBC Radio Humberside’s breakfast show this morning during the news. Listeners invited to ring or text in to Kofi Smiles to have their say on Andy Butler’s interview! Has the world gone completely mad?

That’s journalism for you, as my journalist brother always said ” bad news is good news “. Most people often are more interested in stories that are spicy or controversial than good news stories, you get the odd gooey eyed feel good story pushed into the news, normally around this time of year but by and large it’s the garbage people gobble up, then can’t wait to get on social media to spread it even further. Touche Dum Dum.

Long throw is very useful and with Beck in the side I would suggest we need to use it more often.

At the last home game as I was leaving one of thes swivel eyed loons was spewing abuse then shouting “Andy” to try catch Butler’s attention so he could spew bile into his face he even had a girl waiting behind him..He was a red faced moron and actually had white foam at the corner of his mouth. He for me,represents all these online idiots crying at being second in the league.Absolute losers

If you was that close to Awaywego you should have asked him for his autograph, lol.

Wonder if the water bottle throwing little t**t will be on the Hereford bench again this season? that could be entertaining if he is.

After just listening to Andy’s interview on Humberside I would say he needs to stop giving such negative unhelpful responses to Ollie’s questions, the fans listening deserve better TBH. If Andy listens back to that interview I’m sure he will realise, or he should as manager anyway, that interviews like that do nobody any favours, he has to be better than that when dealing with media.

The last line of the match report on the club’s website suggests it was inserted under management instructions to let supporters know this is how they respond to outside criticism. It could well go tits up from here if performances don’t rapidly improve. I don’t want anybody sacked unnecessarily I just want the bloody team to start performing like they can do and should be doing.

ps again. I’ve revisited your last post NI ..and am more confused than ever. So it wasn’t sarcasm? You really were advocating Hilton over Musk? All I initially asked for was clarification. Now you’ve explained….I think.

FFS! I dislike Musk more than Hilton. Is that clear enough?

Easy NI he’s a Christian it takes things awhile to sink in.

AB’s interviews are no different to any other manager we have had in the past, or managers in general for that matter. They go down a familiar path most of the time because there is only so much to say without causing consternation or disquiet with the fanbase or media, it is what it is. Managers won’t slag off players or their own tactics just because some fans are frustrated with the teams current form, don’t confuse the Premiership managers interviews with the majority of other clubs, they are a different animal operating in a more cut throat environment based on loads of money, we are what we are, AB is what he is, just hope he turns things around or he will eventually go.

    David Mellors

I wonder which one will be chosen?

414, for whatever reason the current team under Butler are not doing as well as expected. Ultimately if he fails or when whatever losses or league position triggers the clubs get out clause, then he will probably lose his job. It’s football, Butler knows how it works you don’t need to be personally insulting to a man who played over 100 games for our club in a much better period and in all other respects is held in high esteem by most supporters of Scunthorpe United.

Of course he has to be personally insulting, that’s his brief that’s his agenda and has been for some time.

    Oh goody, another book review.

You’d think they would drop the odd science fiction classic or murder mystery in there occasionally just for a bit of variety.

A bit like the 97% of all Scientists who have now settled that we’ve entered the age of ‘global boiling.’ :) I’m not 100% sure about Butler or the Climate. And that survey WAS rigorously conducted.

That’s all Climate Scientists JI, not all scientists are Climate Scientists.

Why would a man who has been out the game awhile, has had health issues in the past and who is best described as yesterday’s man when it comes to current football issues and who is probably just enjoying his time with his family now, put himself under the shit show scrutiny that is the lot of the modern day football manager. Brian is a nice guy who did a good job in his first couple of spells as manager but I’m happy just to see him occasionally in the directors box, watching a game and exchanging a few pleasantries with people. Let’s just leave it at that.

He sounded defensive, bullish and when he said everyone has an opinion when asked about the fans questioning him at the end of the match, well that probably suggests a siege mentality from AB. I don’t think he is in a very good place , his Dad’s illness isn’t an excuse but maybe he’s thinking he has to be strong minded and stick to his guns to get him through a bad time right now but he sounded to be struggling to me in that Humberside interview.

Didn’t announce the crowd again today on the scoreboard, less than 3000 imo.

Over 3500 Awaywego, announced at the final whistle and shown on the scoreboard, I guess you left early, can’t say I blame you.

Plenty of opinion online and on Humberside after the game and I have to agree with most of it, comfortably the worst game of football I have seen at the AA. Indeed not even a game just a mixture of hoofball, pointless headers, lack of control and no intent to pass the ball on the floor or attempt to control the game. Poor game between two poor teams and poorly refereed at times , thank goodness it’s over and I’m back home, just dire from start to finish. AB needs a serious rethink because the fanbase are turning on him now for the garbage his team are playing.

Hard going for Trinity first half, could have been 3 down but they are working very hard defensively. Looking like a game too far based on the first 45 minutes but you never know, they definitely need more ball and must try to keep possession just to relieve the constant pressure.
