I guess Sharp-Shooter24 is trying a bit of optimism for a change RoamingBull so fair play to him for that. We’ve all done the doom and gloom pissed off scenario for that long I’m thinking the guy is grasping at straws but at least it makes a change. Good on him.

I’m guessing Burns was subbed off due to fatigue, Hill has spoken a lot recently about some of the younger players facing a bit of ” Burn out ” due to them feeling the heat a bit. Some will say they should be able to go game after game no problem but with young inexperienced players playing regularly and getting beat every game we know it doesn’t work that way. That is why the recent experienced signings are so welcome because young players up and down the country in whatever standard they play go through the same thing,in our case though we have been relying on them too long because of lack of options.

Their goal was a bloody set piece scrappy affair, defensively shocking just bloody mark up and do your jobs properly. Unacceptable.
Home form has always been the key factor but it’s looking more like relegation every week, we need a striker in pronto and just hope he and Burns can strike up an instant rapport, unlikely but it could happen.🤞
How was we allowed to use 4 subs
Isn’t that because Matheson was a concussion substitute for Millen?, gives you an extra sub I believe.
The question mark Awaywego speaks volumes, however we all live in hope.
I am sick of people going on about the loan. And party’s that weren’t party’s.
Yeah know what you mean, I’m sick of lying chairmen and a lying PM. What ya gonna do. 🤔

LBH we haven’t had a decent captain since Stephen Dawson, never out the refs ear all game, barking orders out at players all over the park. He was a proper arse kicker, we desperately need one now.

….yeah and don’t forget about the ground sharing with Bottesford Town next season. 😲
Spot on Cliff, looks a bit of a beast to me which is good, 23 games played this season so match fit and should stiffen up midfield plus scare a few opponents. Great signing IMO.

Sorry Ferrite missed your earlier post but yeah I agree 👍

Beestin didn’t look fit last night, one of the players stood watching when Bristol were lining up to take pot shots at our goal, Hill mentioned players just watching not being involved enough in his post match interview. Rumours Beestin is a long covid sufferer, wouldn’t be surprised on last night’s evidence.

Nice one barrie, Burnsy gave you a shout out on his programme yesterday and praised you all at Winterton Iron for your latest magnificent fund raiser, very well done. I never knew Pete had been ill till I read his obituary, spoke to him at several away games over the years, nice guy, real shame. 👏👏👏
Nobody has mentioned young Lewis when he came on at the start of the second half, thought he was decent and looks like he has a bright future in the game, very quick very skilful, well done lad.

Worst kept secret for the last week.

Wonder if Danny Wilde is his agent or financial adviser?

All questions we can’t answer WG and as you say, odd.
I think young Burns could well prosper with a ” big un ” playing up top with him in a 4-4-2, think he’s got something about him but he just needs a bit of help to kick on. I’d settle for a Hayes/Torpey result if the big lad gets signed

If that’s the case about Beestin WG then Hill has changed his tune from his first month here. Didn’t he say he rated Beestin and thought there could be a Championship player in there somewhere, or was that just something put about by a member of the forum ( not me I hasten to add ). It does seem strange why he just bench warms and never gets on, he’s deffo one of our best midfielders when fit.
Bigger fan bases always demand more Awaywego, all we demand is the club be run properly and the fans be made to feel a part of the club. Not too much to ask really but here we are in the here and now completely pissed off with way the club is run and the fans feeling more isolated from the club then ever before.

It’s John Fenty and yes I agree we have come of worse.
Proper gent our Joey, waited until the Barnsley manager was looking the other way before he twatted him one.

If he scores a few goals it’ll be Minto.
I remember Mr Nutall, ran a hardware shop with his brother on Frod Road I believe. He used to come round the villages in his old van selling paraffin and shoe polish at the door. Don’t think he was much good at footy though.

Jarvis was injured according to Humberside pre match, Perry was awful today but it’s his first game in ages plus he’s not even been on the bench but he clearly isn’t fit and is big time match rusty. Didn’t understand his selection today particularly with Beeston bench warming, there is such a lot wrong with our club both on and off the pitch.

Yep and it cost us our ground because of ridiculous debt accrued by the guy chasing his dream with little or no business acumen being applied. The ” hobby man “, Mr Wharton, got us two promotions to the Championship and a cup final at Wembley and when he left he left us with manageable debt and our ground still owned by the club. Your man is an abysmal failure UTI, he promised loads and delivered nothing but debt, despair amongst the fanbase and a club lacking identity with its fans. Oh and you are an idiot BTW.

Gurny is just smarter then you Buck’s and that’s what gets your goat, a rather predictable response from you.
Isn’t Beestin a victim of long covid?, even so he’s on the bench for a reason so presumably can come on and do something during a game.

Hippolyte made a big difference when he came on, for awhile we pushed forward and second half we pushed up the pitch another 10 yards compared to the first where we just gave Newport the freedom of the park to do as they pleased. Clearly second best all afternoon and Watson was a bloody hero in goal, we are going down because we are toothless upfront and spend the majority of games just desperately defending. The Chairman’s interview on Humberside pre match was enough to make a genuine supporter physically sick, only the sycophants will nod their heads in agreement to his shallow and hollow words. Disgraceful behaviour from someone supposedly in charge and responsible.
