I’ll try that BLT. Thanks
January 26, 2025 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #298005I also had no issues purchasing a weekly pass yesterday. Tried in the app (which looks like it isn’t possible) so it presents a weblink to copy into your browser. Takes you to the payment page, pop in your payment details and job done.
BLT, just checking, was that on a phone, laptop or tablet? Thanks.
Hard to say if I’d think differently had I been there awaywego. I suspect not though.
I think Torps reads the game well. Not once did he mention sub issues. Just a tad exasperated that the goals came from nothing. Sorry, ‘naffin’ :)
Regarding, the subs, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. Not doing too bad at the end of the day I reckon. Credit where it’s due. Some are unable to give any it seems. Notable by absence.

Ah yes, just listened back to that bit, you’re right. My mistake.
6 min in. Joe Starbuck presumably. Rene will be licking his lips with a name like that to play with.

At 3-1 up, the game should have been won, surely? And Beck scored last week so it’s hardly a bad sub. Maybe a little early?

But Butler reckons Boyce heard something pop. Conflicting accounts.
Anyway, what’s Butler doing, being all articulate and happy in his interview? He should know by now he has a stereotype to fit.
Just seen that Gareth spoke to Boyce after the game. As someone previously said, he was sick on the pitch before the game and had to come off at half time due to the illness.

3-2 win at Alfreton yesterday. Not going to be easy by any stretch.

Interesting chat above, particularly for those, like me, who weren’t in attendance but listen to commentary much of the time. Appreciate the different ways we see a game and why I love Bru :)

What was Boycey thinking regarding Shields’ first goal? Torps was perplexed.
I can vouch for him and I wasn’t even there!
Many thanks Deeryme66 for giving the ability to get freeview Pathetic RH has Grimsby Town on FM and DAB WHY??
I don’t get it either. Fail safe route is the one I posted above mate.
I wish I’d checked Deeryme66 before k.o.!
For future reference (if no one else has shared a link) Google ‘non league commentaries BBC today’ on match day. Click on the link it says has been up a few hours and it should take you to the page with all the games listed. As someone else helpfully said in the past though, you sometimes have to wait for our matches to show in the list, often just minutes before KO. Good luck.

That takes some believing.
I have a fairly good feeling about today. But not as good as Tuesday.
Where’s the podcast lads? Hope it’s not been a catastrophe :)
Well that’s a let down. Iron Hour promoting their new episode with ‘Boardroom Rumours!’ and don’t even mention it in the episode. Pah!
Musical interlude then…

He did try and tell us…over and over again.
