This had better be good Cass. Please elaborate :)
It was a moderate to poor attempt at humour. I am too old to understand your post so I thought I’d get you back. Sorry.
Not sure xG (expected goals) is age specific? It was tongue in cheek football jargon.

Another way of looking at it: ‘proven at this level’
They might have just got bored posting now they have the upper hand Gurney.
What was his xG like?
Harsh
Reckon Chris will score tomorrow.
‘He will get a stunning goal out of nothing but might not be as prolific as you hope.’
Have no fear FL, if he scores one more than Beck he’ll be a cult hero
‘The current directors of the club have worked hard with the approved investor over the last few months to ensure there are covenants in place’
As an afterthought, I sincerely hope these are covenants they set up and not scraps of ‘legally binding’ paper Dave gave them.
For ‘assurances’ read ‘covenants’, as in the statement below. Hope they’re legally binding.
‘The current directors of the club have worked hard with the approved investor over the last few months to ensure there are covenants in place to ensure the future of the club and mitigate against any risks from external investment. The investor was keen to ensure that extra protections were in place to remove any doubt of a lack of future sustainability.’

My wondering was more a parentage thing tbh. Families do possess the biggest revelations.
I know we’re the same age within a week of each other Ironawe.
Blimey, that begs a question :)

Your horse has bolted early Rene
Biggest hoot has to be claiming Ukraine started the war. I couldn’t care less if he’s swallowing Putin’s BS, just poorly educated or both. He’s an absolute clown.
Could’ve, would’ve, should’ve NI. What’s most important now is that we’re in pole position to win the league.

Fantasist, narcissist, felon.
Putin via Trump will have have a Moscow puppet in power there again via a rigged election before you know it
Due Diligence? Due Dillinger more like…
I think awaywego’s just bitter about missing out on a few trips to Gainsborough before the club folded leaving more Saturdays to spend with ”er indoors’
I did say it was a wild guess. Maybe part of a long con to salvage reputation before moving on to a bigger prize?
To plunge the club in to an imminent financial crisis and do a land grab? To confidence trick before really fleecing fans? Just wild guesses in the absence of any other possible explanation.

‘One more signing before this evenings game?
Oh, go on then!
See you at 10 am!’
Sound familiar? Wonder when the burner accounts will be activated, some BS stories about being bullied and suffering from mental health issues?
Better!
Needing £65k loans every month.
Especially when most of you wanted sustainability.
I thought the Board has said much of that is due to high player budget? And we all know who’s responsible for that. The amount of silly money being splashed on players at Matlock would suggest they may be facing financial ruin at some point with the ‘mystery Investor’ involved.
Please don’t tell me you’re referring to David Hilton?

It makes a mockery of the FA purporting to be getting heavy and scrutinising.

February 16, 2025 at 11:35 pm in reply to: Yet another…’what have you been listening today?’ Thread #299095On the subject of Dylan; watched this film last week on Prime. Excellent dry Coen brothers film about a fictional early 60s folk musician. Definitely recommend. A Dylanesque performer (assuming it’s supposed to be him) makes an appearance near the end. Give it a watch. You won’t be disappointed.
Just watched the highlights on YouTube…slowed ours down to x0.25 speed and they’re both 100% own goals by their no.2.
first one goes in off the lower back leg of their no.2. wouldn’t have gone in
otherwise. Toss up between the keeper knocking it back and no.2 again massaging it over the line for the second goal. Not their no.2’s day! -
