Lol, just realised I can’t move it to non football (never known how to). One of the others or Matt might be able to move it. Clearly I’m not holding the best cards here ;)

Sorry, could this be moved to non – football!

You haven’t said ‘pretty please’ on all fours and you’re disrespectful, so I might move it later, might not. What you got for me anyway?

Is anyone remotely interested in it, announced the dates but no acts ffs.

No going to make much on alcohol hosting a dance festival.

The term ‘xG’ should be treated with the contempt it deserves. This may or may not help Cass :)

Biggest problem with the video for me is that he probably has no realisation or care that it’s possibly the cheapest recruitment tool ever produced. Make America Great Again? Make the whole world, except Russia, Israel and North Korea, Hate Us Even More. Admittedly, it doesn’t scan or abbreviate as well.

The sound of swathes of old timers on the verge of orgasm every time the ball got lumped down near the corner flag, in anticipation of a decent cross, was a carry over from the OSG days to GP. A corner would have grown men reaching for the Kleenex.

Frustrated that he hadn’t had his best game? Frustrated he had less influence than usual?

Would agree there’s scope for more crosses in, but not sure we would have been any more a potent and attacking threat as a result though. IMO, it’s the addition of Wreh with Beck, trying Beestin on the right, and whatever else they’ve been working on in training (which doesn’t appear to be crosses in to Beck from the flanks) that’s made a difference. I know some supporters have been arguing for more crosses in but it’s not happening at present and we’ve seen a marked improvement anyway. Would agree we’ve relied on Roberts doing what he’s been doing but I rather think that’s frequently saved us rather than being detrimental.

Exactly. Very few coming in from the other side either, so I don’t see why Roberts is some kind of fall guy. Neither goals last night came from crosses in to Beck, and none of the other decent chances came from crosses from the flanks either. More of an attacking force due to Wreh’s inclusion and performance rather than less cutting in from Roberts IMO. Anyhow, just my opinion, don’t take ‘picky’ personally. ‘Picky argument’ is just an observation

So you’re saying Roberts habit of frequently cutting inside, like Beestin was doing last night incidentally, limits decent crosses? If there was more threat and goal scoring opportunities from crossing instead of cutting in at any one time, he might be doing it more. The other flank is available too. Seems a bit of a picky argument but we all read the game differently.

Comical how Hatfield avoided a second yellow soon after his first by going down claiming he’d been elbowed. Crafty bugger!

I thought Darlo did turn up but just couldn’t find a way through us and essentially couldn’t create a great deal in the final third despite some decent enough build up.

Nice performance from Wreh tonight. Held the ball up well and some classy moves and passes. Impressive. Pleasing on the eye. Great vision and control.

Indeed. Best I’ve seen in a long while. Really enjoying this one. Whatever they’ve been working on in training is paying off.

Excellent first half. Solid at the back and creating lots of goal scoring opportunities. Great movement and some fine passes. Hope Alfie gets his hatrick – deserves it. Loved the layoff by Wreh for the first and Clunan’s vision and pin point pass for the second was a joy to behold. Cracking stuff.

Tip 2: don’t call the property maintenance guy for the property a smug bastard on the rapidly power diminishing phone when he tells you his electric is down too but just picking up a Chinese takeaway on his way back from the pub. I was tempted.

This had better be good Cass. Please elaborate :)

It was a moderate to poor attempt at humour. I am too old to understand your post so I thought I’d get you back. Sorry.

Not sure xG (expected goals) is age specific? It was tongue in cheek football jargon.

Not an expression I’ve heard so thanks for the explanation. Mind you there’s loads of words, abreviations and phrases about these days that I don’t understand

I’m guessing you don’t play fantasy football Cass? xG is a major factor in decision making when deciding on which forwards to pick. I’m pretty sure wondergoals is au fait with the term. There’s a fair few other terms that ‘experts’ use aswell. The flip side is player ‘eye test’ which is fairly self explanatory and more hunch driven. Not sure where Mr Beck ranks on either judgements. Though I’d suspect not highly.

Start the new lad in every one of the remaining games and give him a real chance to show us what he can do.

We know Beck is a disaster. Bench him.

Make your mind up. You were undermining his pedigree the other day.
