‘the only ones who who are forced to have vaccs are care workers and the NHS workers.’

Not true, it’s not compulsory for NHS staff to be vaccinated till April.

I’m thinking further back when we attracted higher calibre players, Morris, Lund, Gilks etc.
Now that dream is over we get what we’ve got.

Thank goodness UTI99’s gone, that would’ve been a cue for ‘and under who’s tenure were these high calibre players signed??’

If they are advertised to be handed out at the next home game that could put 2,000+ on the gate if everybody wants to have their say.

Lol, Have you gone in to stand up routine?

He could turn the business around and still not give a flying feck about the supporters Alcy.

I think that’s very plausible les. Regardless of the justifiable lack of trust and the broken promises there is businessman credibility at stake here. It’s whether he can change how he conducts his business going forward that could trip him up. It’s a seismic shift required

Maybe finally realised it can’t carry on like this for much longer, so better to swallow his pride and change tac? A lot of what fans have been justifiably complaining about for years wouldn’t take much to address. That’s partly what’s been so annoying. Perhaps I’m being gullible but the proof will be in the pudding anyway. Personally I don’t care that much why the change in voice now, If it’s purely for business / financial reasons all well and good because we all want a better run club.

Bucks ‘admit he was wrong’? Yep, read his letter again. Nowhere to be seen whatsoever. Just read Swann’s statement again. Explicitly admits he got it wrong.

I’m not trying to defend him but if posters are going to quote him at least do it accurately. Taken from the BBC:

“I’m disappointed in my approach and the way it has been taken by the fans.”

The key thing for me there is ‘disappointed in my approach’.

A bit of humility is long overdue and the proof will be in his actions but it’s a step in the right direction. See what happens now. Maybe he’s realised going in to interviews and meetings on the defensive with his back up is counter productive? Maybe someone he respects has had a word? Either way, it’s got to be better than where relations were at. Thanks for the meeting feedback to those in attendance.

Is it fair to ask if the interest left following the failed attempts at the reaching the Championship, new stadium complex and all the unfathomable riches he thought would come with that?

Find it difficult to believe a dozen or so posters on here are adding fuel to the fire when he clearly doesn’t give a stuff what we think or say. However, instead of singling out posters on here why not get on other social media platform and berate the many more criticising and piss taking on ther? Whenever I look on Twitter I always think what’s said on here is tame in comparison.

I’m not re-running it no, it was you who brought it up again. Lol, ‘the law’? Given some of the stuff you’ve been suggesting and condoning recently, you’re a fine one to talk about sticking to the letter of the law.

Agree with the last bit of your post and glad it looks like tbe penny’s dropped that 595 fans might be right and 5 of you just might be wrong. It’s progress.

The physical state of the place is enough to put anyone off. What a dog mess on and off the field. You wouldn’t try and and sell your house like that would you? Unless you weren’t really interested in selling that is…

Also, you were trying to persuade fans to leave the ground before the match was over, which completely contradicts your banging on about Scunny fans being the worst for not supporting the players enough. Talk out yer backside mate, no wonder everyone ignored you or told you where to go.

Of course no one was going to turn up! You seem to be under the allusion that people you were inviting to Sheffield Park actually agreed with your views. The only talk about scapegoating a few lads playing footy during lockdown was coming from you.

Oh and before anyone questions it, one quick email to the Grimsby Telegraph from an interested party and it would be front page news.

Though if a seriously interested party was making a bid might not want to broadcast it and let any potential competitors know?

You seem a bit needy yourself awaywego, upset that he didn’t want to talk you on the tube or accept your invitation to Sheffield Park to point the finger at BAME lads playing footy during lockdown! You also seem a bit put out no one was interested in your rallying of the troops on Saturday. Talk about needy, indeed.

I’m quite keen to know where this line is too. Will you be wearing anything distinguishable on it Bucks so I can clearly see you to ask if a new moan or groan is permissible? Could do with some identification because we don’t hear from you all season and then an open letter followed by head beatings come all at once.

Do these complete breakdowns with these constituent groups, and so it seems, anybody who dare criticise him, not concern you UTI99?

I don’t think anybody thinks it will be all Roses by any means and no ones expecting cards but some healthy connection with fans, the council and the press would be extremely beneficial to the club.

For years we’ve been told he’s putting money in to the club, but the full picture behind that would appear to be very different from what it says on the tin.

‘Capable of funding the club’. Have you listened to anything he’s been saying recently?
