Nothing wrong with that. There was a time when ex-Grimsby players came here and excelled. Mike Czuczman, Malcolm Partridge and Mike Brolly to name three. We may well be back to those days. Role reversal.

So you admit the football over the last 3 years being terrible isn’t the fans fault. So why is it still? And, as Richgy pointed out the other day, plenty of clubs in the NFL can hold their own with gates of 1-1,500. So we ought to be able to right?

It’s very convenient to say the fans deserted the club because they hated Swann, as that fits your fans blame narrative. The reality is that more and more have attended less and less due to what has been served up over the last few years. A lot more fans hate him now we’re out the league I should imagine, but that’s not why many stopped attending and continue to do so, even though the buck stops with him. A roundabout way of saying, the fans aren’t to blame, as much as you lay the blame at their door, he is.

Why no explanation about why she’s stepping down? Taking up an exciting new role elsewhere, time for a change, personal reasons, etc? Creates more speculation.

That depends how badly it ‘doesn’t work’ because it’s no good if we’re relegated again. What’s good news about a small squad when the injuries start piling up, as they do every season now?
