Just tilt your shoulder to the right a bit there awaywego. Some of those chips will go great with this bbq burger.
Joey Knees ’em.
Celebratory
Here’s an example of how that celebratory professional and welcoming club promo video can work to gain new interest:
I admit I've never heard of Altrincham FC until this morning, but what an introduction to the team. Jealous of your generational community connection. Count me in.

‘far to political correct video even managed to get someone with a disability in there.’
We know you don’t think women should be anywhere near football awaywego but anyone who takes issue with that video supposedly being ‘too politically correct’ needs to get a life. The idea is to promote inclusively and show the club isn’t stuck in a 70s mindset and welcomes everyone, including women, people with disabilities and minority groups. It’s a good thing to do and will help attract new supporters who may think attending isn’t for them. I suppose there’s always going to be fans who’d prefer football to stay in the dark ages.

Dog mess?!Didn’t you say that about Wootton?

Yeah, can you see SUFC doing anything like this video under the current regime?

I occasionally agree with you awaywego. This is one of those rare moments.

They’ll say Labour supporters are patronising and elitist anyway. Indeed some are, some may well think I am, but a lot of it’s generated by the political and media right. But I agree, if you’re a Labour politician or activist you need to pretend you’re interested in hearing their bigoted stoneage views. Until you get caught out like Gordon Brown of course. Anyways, different approaches and attitudes to tackling the same problem maybe?
Whether he realises it or not is irrelevant if he’s not allowed to do anything about it anyway.
Aye,suppose it comes down to that pretty much. Money talks. If potential singings are concerned they’re about to join a toxic club , a better wage may well assuage those fears! Which in itself would be a concern. If we were offering big money that is! So what calibre of player does that leave us with? Unless Keef can sell it to em? Maybe he can. I live in hope.
‘For us, you, Oldham, Notts County and Southend there is no doubt all were/are basket cases that fell out the league because of the mess they were/are in.’
🤣 you’re right there Rich. Speaking to an Oldham fan today and he was optimistic regarding their recent ownership and signing matters.
Meanwhile, here’s the new Education Minister entering Downing Street 🤣

Here’s some philosophical questions Siderite – do you think attitudes like mine are not helping matters? If yes, and I changed my attitude to be more accommodating to folk with right wing views and swinging voters who go for personality, would that help matters?
Appreciate what you’re saying Siderite and I think you’re right to an extent but I’m not in the habit, in a paid or voluntary capacity to canvas or lobby the voting public to ‘try and win them over’. That’s for those that are in those positions. This is merely a non footy forum viewed by a relatively small amount pf people. Many on here think I’m a patronising t*** anyway (they’ve said so) but I’m not here to make long lasting deep friendships. What is it we keep hearing over the last few days? The public now want honesty and integrity. Well, I’m just falling in line here!
I’ve got a big beef with prominent people like Grayson Perry and Russell Brand, who make programmes and narcissistic YouTube shows that basically kowtow to pretty horrible people because apparently we should ‘understand their concerns and compromise’. There’s too much of that going on as far as I’m concerned. It’s edging towards legitimising hatred and bigotry in my opinion and I’ve little appetite for it. I understand and respect the point you’re making but beg to differ.
Some might perceive it as snobbery Siderite; I’m past giving a damn. There’s a direct correlation between low reading ages, Sun readers and voting habits. Just a fact. Yes many of his supporters bought his style so basically trying to talk any sense to them is pointless. If your face or personality doesn’t fit with them then forget it. I’m not going to lie and say I don’t think such people are fools, to put it mildly.
I’ll be on a plane – shame
‘And none more so than those with their flags, statues, and a reading age of 9.’
That’s generous – 8 more like. Judging by a fair number of his voters being interviewed yesterday, even that might be stretching it. Apologies to viewers who found the last sentence too long.
Stop making sense!

Pogue Mahone!
‘As we’ve seen in the test matches this summer, making the last day free admission has filled the grounds and therefore filled the bars.’
Take the women’s England match at the theatre of nightmares the other night. Press and media constantly saying it was a sell out when a large amount of tickets were given away to school groups and kids. You won’t ever see or hear that though, but it makes perfect marketing sense – makes future matches more appealing to potential buyers. Similar to a loss leader. SUFC need to be more strategic – across the board
Thanks but no thanks
Not what I said awaywego. Nothing about how they regard any supporters. Just that surely casuals are vital to overall revenue? Certainly not saying they’ve set prices right or have any regard for fans. Miscalculated pricing, yes. But that’s hardly a surprise.

The playing budget may well be based on season ticket sales but I’m sure the club management regard casual supporters as a bit more than a ‘bonus’. They’re vital to the overall season revenue, surely?
Potential for getting ‘rammed up against the wall’, apparently. Crikey!
He’s a shoo in!
Hardly surprising when the country has an average reading age of 9 years old! Sun readers, some of his biggest fans, have an average reading age of 8! Stats from The National Literacy Trust.
When the public vote for a personality with a terrible track record in previous roles and a history of incompetence and causing chaos and misery everywhere he goes, expect chaos and misery, and a lot more besides!

Collective finger drumming…
Whilst it’s annoying the elected government aren’t governing at a time of crisis, the Tories spectacularly imploding is hilarious and quite satisfying.
