Who? Do you mean Krishnan Guru-Murthy?
That’s what amazes me with the apologists or those blaming NATO / West; prepared to ignore, or are ignorant to, the facts (I.e. what the man actually says).
It’s also very sad and pretty disgusting how many in the west apologise for him, because they’re so anti NATO / anti West, while innocent people get killed. How can anyone seriously believe Putin was provoked in to his actions? Feckin loose screws!
Gonna need more than fork handles this winter. About 100 should cover it…

What is Putin’s real reason for invading and committing mass genocide and atrocities in Ukraine? It seems to shift weekly from a NATO threat to a supposed ‘de-Nazification’. All the while rueing Gorbachev for letting the USSR disintegrate. In the meantime, oligarchs are going missing at an alarming level. Kind of ironic that he’s really just an old fashioned John Waynesque cowboy throwing his weight around the wild east. On horseback too.
There’s also an increasing blurring between conspiracy theories and anti NATO / West attitudes, most evident in the likes of Russell Brand, who for some apparent reason is now not an ex celebrity / actor, but a full blown messiah who’s an expert in everything. The same people who call people ‘sheeple’ continue to flock to him in their droves. When times are tough and complex, if you can’t turn to God, turn to a false idol and believe any old shit. Get a badge with ‘f*** critical analysis’ on it and stick your head up yer arse! It’s the modern way.
Good posts IMO Siderite. I have a few friends who are so fiercely anti NATO and anti West it’s a waste of time discussing this matter. No matter what Putin does, or more atrocities he commits, apparently the US, NATO and allies are more to blame. Find it very dismaying that any humanitarian concerns are ignored or dismissed in favour of ideology. ‘Negotiations’?? When has Putin ever indicated he’s really interested in them? See their stance through to it’s logical conclusion and Putin would have taken Ukraine by now and be on to the next former Soviet country he’s embarrassed about losing in the first place (his words). But hey, in the name of ‘peace’ and stopping war, to hell with the Ukrainians (or not ‘but don’t ask troublesome questions please!). This is before we get on to the amount of ‘useful idiots’ out there on social media parroting exactly what Putin wants to hear. I know a few Ukrainians, as I’m sure many of the ‘stop the war’ crowd do. I’d feel pretty ashamed if I adopted the latter’s attitude.

‘I don’t think Starmer knows what’s hit him.’
Thanks for making me chortle today :)
and you’ve always been allowed to take Food and drinks in
No you haven’t always been allowed, just because you somebody has managed to get with them doesn’t mean they are allowed to do it!
Pat, easiest thing to do is use the ‘quote’ function rather than copy and pasting. That way you’ll quote the right person instead of Mick, and prevent winding him up mate.

We are getting a new super duper one soon not funded by Swann of course
Hope we can take it with us to our phoenix club residence
Politician? More like a Farage wannabe after 4 hours in Wetherspoons
No offence bpg, but you’ve not presented a very compelling case, to say the least.
She hid from a ‘pot noodle’?
‘Truss should still have stuck to her guns, reminded the markets in no uncertain terms that the basic plan would greatly increase the likelihood of significant growth and her MPs should have rallied behind her.’
Preposterous claim, but quite an unsurprising one given it’s that sort of bullish attitude towards the EU that’s had it so clearly cowtowing to our demands. What a joke!

Always someone or something else’s faulty. This time it’s those dastardly markets so cherished by the Tories. Truss and Kwarteng effed up big time through a lack of foresight and complete incompetency. Thankfully the public recognise it.
Answering the OP…
‘the elite unelected rabble’. The PM and her Cabinet? For once we agree!
‘At least Johnson knew he was lying, she is too thick and wooden to get away with the rubbish and lies.’
Well indeed. And what does that say about them, that the ability to get away with lies is one of their few talents?
Given her track record and past performance, what the hell does it say about the people who voted her in thinking she was capable of leading the country?? It’s almost possible to look back on the Cameron years (referendum aside) as a golden period for the Tories.
A very good state of the nation summary in your OP Heath. No qualms about ‘thanking’ that, regardless of the possible incoming misguided criticism for actually agreeing with the views of a fellow poster!
She could have saved all the cash she spent on makeovers and new wardrobes and put it towards the incoming cuts. Could have saved millions.
Luckily or knowingly you didn’t put ‘Truss’ and ‘she did well’ in the same sentence!
…the person instructed by the (for now) survivor, Truss, lasted less time than Cloughie at Leeds! Truss should last longer than 44 days via the self preservation society
Compared to the rest of them he’s come across as almost sensible over the last few years. like one of many Iron players who thrive when they leave the club. They’ll soon drag him back down to their rotten to the core level now he’s back.

Inspired EMF / IMF drop.
Ha ha, works on a few levels. Taking the piss out of refereeing decisions (as heard at a couple of tier 9 matches recently) and a fitting soundtrack to the antics of government:)
I like that
