Hoof it to the big lad
Changing your avatar to a washing machine 64?
How many disciples will be in attendance?
Who is?
I’d like to see where we can reach operating sustainably, as Hilton has said he’s aiming to.
Off set some of the additional spend on necessary recruitment via additional gate receipts? Certainly started on the right foot.
Definitely going to take time and I’m sure chances will be given, particularly under the circumstances. Hopefully those that are hero worshiping now don’t turn too fast if it’s not plain sailing
It will be funded by debt like most clubs are, and will probably want repaying what he borrows before he moves on.
Will it? Be good to know the detail soon.
Must dash, just seen a claret and blue baying mob with pitchforks running down the road: ‘burn him, burn him…!’
Are you saying you think people should still be hanged for treason (last one was 1946) or stating facts with a bit of Blair bashing thrown in?
Agreed. It’s fantastic the club has been saved and I’m not being funny but paying the tax bill was going to be a necessity for any buyer if they wanted to move forward. New players were desperately needed no matter who bought the club. Never expected marquee signings. However, keen to see details of the takeover, how it’s being funded and the longer term plans (appreciate this could take time to develop). Whilst one person has ‘complete control’ it’s not unreasonable to be cautious.

Didn’t Friday night games at the OSG get bigger gates, or am I imagining it?

4.5k sold already apparently.
Now that, I’m positive about!
Lol, you can make it up, and quite often do mate!
Paul?

Everyone to their own indeed Bpg – including the right to be a realist, not a fantasist or hero worshipper, without being hassled and abused…or, ahem, preached at. As I’ve said previously, the people moaning about the so called moaners are not being forced to stay!

This is why I like Bru compared to Scunny Twitter and Facebook: realism. If you dare say anything that’s not 100% praise on there you’ll get chased out of town by a baying mob!

1-1
I in 3 to an optimist sounds fair to me, but I’m a pessimist so no chance.

Or he hates lime green?
Who’s Sir David Hilton White??
Bunker’s comments: ‘the ground looks amazing’. Often say that myself…
A number of Southend fans on Twitter wouldn’t be heartbroken if he left, to put it mildly
Saw a Forest fan saying Fewster is Yates mk2. No pressure then!
Stating the obvious but still need to go on a massive winning streak and expect some of the bottom 6-8 to go on big losing streaks. Can’t see it but could scrape it. Be agonising if it’s down on goal difference.
I did say ‘might be’. Might also be a back up?
Think I prefer it this way rather than a load of almost guaranteed starters coming straight in and usurping the lads who’ve done so well recently. Think the dressing room will be better for it.

Good question. Wondered that too. No idea but if it’s genuine competition for places and they have potential to flourish, I’m happy with that. Think the keeper and Southend striker might be starters if they can get them signed
Get the feeling there’ll be plenty more of the like too
Sponsorship of the new signing announcements, early promotion of kit sponsorship for them, etc.

I’m not participating NI. Too busy trying to work from home, keep up with new signings and attend to housekeeping! Just when you think you’ve tidied things up, you find more crap 😆
