Was thinking about a Joy Div track earlier, but it was this one. A wee metaphor. ‘Existence, well, what does it matter, I’ll exist in the best way I can; the past isn’t part of the future, the present is well out of hand. Heart and soul, what will burn…’

I think you mean ‘wasn’t’ WG. Agree, a lot more to this than being about facilities. With training and operations moving to Ilkeston and GP only open on matchdays, the club is all but leaving the town. How long before opening GP on matchdays becomes ‘unsustainable’ too? A sceptic might say, ‘can’t you see what’s happening here?’

I’ll also add given the ‘Patrick’ pantomime, my trust in Mr Hilton isn’t at an all time high. But hey, each to their own!

Time will tell I-A and of course I hope you’re right but I think it’s unfair to label this poster a troll given he / she seems to be reliable source based on previous rumours being true.

Said in an earlier post an interview or statement confirming or denying the rumours and telling us his plans would be helpful. He’s done that and it is helpful. I would also like an interview with someone independent of the club and I have said that previously on another thread. There is nothing unreasonable about that. If you think it is, that’s your prerogative. No need to keep bringing me up on it. Not like I’m demanding it. Get off my back. There’s no obligation to be completely fine with any of this you know.

What I find more interesting, than you coming after me, is how people who were worried about the rumours a few days ago are now on board with the them now they’ve been confirmed. What changed? The way he explained it? If Swann had suggested moving òperations and training to a place 70 miles away there would have been uproar. Hilton does it and suddenly it’s fine, ‘inevitable’ etc. Sorry, it’s happening, nothing I can do about it, but this direction of travel is a concern, to say the least

I said above it’s good he’s done it. I’d like an independent interview though. Look mate, people are going to have different opinions. I accept yours, do me the honour of accepting mine. They’re not unreasonable.

There are a number of interpretations regarding many points and a number of ways of looking at it. One might be it being the thin end of the wedge.

Should be. Wont be. he hasn’t got the money

Are you one of the trolls DH was referring too in his interview, genuine question, you are what you are I guess.

Given most the things this poster had been saying for the last week have now been confirmed as being true, Ì’d suggest the clue is in the poster name. Add to that, Hilton confirmed the trolls are from Bury, I think you’ve got this wrong.

It cut off about a minute or so on my phone awaywego. Tried continuing it but it kept restarting! I’ll listen again later. What are the choices anyway?

It’s good he’s spoken at length about what’s happening, absolutely, but it was less an ‘interview’, more a statement about matters with a club employee prompting. A proper interview with an independent interviewer on say, BBC Humberside would be good. Hopefully there will be one.

I thought Hilton said he’d be finding some of them digs? Even if they are from that area, do you not think this substantial change in working practice will have created some uncertainty / instability? Personally I do, and I’d be very surprised if it’s not effected motivation which has transferred to the pitch.

I noticed a few glee clubbers but the majority don’t seem to be. Seems to be more open and frank observations on there than on our own social media.

Players were told about moving training to Ilkeston when? This or last week did he say? Don’t suppose that’s effected their attitude on the pitch has it?? Then you’ve got Dean bringing up a toxic culture at the club as a reason for their poor recent performances. ‘Oh, by the way, training’s moving to Ilkeston, now go out there and give 110%!’. What planet?

If you Google Netto Ilkeston, used car dealership Net Cars Ilkeston is the first result. Kinda fitting.

‘Inspired by “Patrick” showing how easy it is to register, I registered.’

But apparently too difficult technically, due to his age (so he said) for him to tap a request to join the Scunny Fans Facebook group, which he’d obviously looked at as he remarked on how toxic it is on there. Regarding Dean staying or going; all feels a bit futile. Don’t think he’s going anywhere.

You’re clearly astute on betting odds (and amateur detective work) Rene. What odds would you give for a statement or in depth interview with Mr Hilton on an independent body like BBC Humberside?

With all these rumours around, wouldn’t it be a hell of a lot easier if ‘Mr Hilton’, as vanishing Patrick prefers to call him, to do an interview or issue a statement, confirming or denying the rumours and giving us an insight in to the future plans, particularly what happens after the 24 May if Swann isn’t paid off? Is it too much to ask?

Patrick, if I can just ask you before you leave, if any of us do visit, what surname should we ask for? And what’s your role there? It’ll just make it easier for someone to direct us to you and take you up on that free pint, pie and tour. Reasonable request is it not?

No good for me awaywego, on my way back from holiday on 15th, plus I don’t live in town anymore so it’s not so easy (thst’s why I get to games when I can and supplement it with the streaming and radio commentaries). If you go though, report back on the guided tour with Patrick please. I’m sure everyone knows him there – not sure what his role is though, he hasn’t said.
