Joe Leesley- number 30
We are rudderless ship coasting towards the play offs.
Flat, boring and no plan. The midfield shape is non existent. Some poor individual performances from Pugh and Denton in particular. I’ve nothing against the lad but what has Pugh ever done for us? Never got the hype.
Dean looks tired and a man on the edge to be honest, I feel for him as it can’t be a nice position to be in, but he’s over his head.
They did a number on us at their place and are in form- a good test.
Can see there being a siege mentality after recent events too, something that we can use to our advantage.
The guy above has received homophobic abuse.James Moody should be ashamed
Are we sure James made the post ?
I’ve seen something on social media where he is distancing himself from making the tweet. Maybe hold back on the outrage until it’s confirmed it was him.
The tweet was unprofessional and so is the standard of officiating, there has got to be an open dialogue on how things can improve.
Happening week in, week out now, just a complete farce which had culminated in that decision tonight which is the cherry on top.
By no means have we lost the league due to officials, but some of these decisions are costing us valuable points and the frequency it’s occurring is frightening.
No wonder Jimmy lost his rag.
I’d beg to differ a few weeks post a 7,500 crowd.
There’s definitely Been a blip in enthusiasm since Tamworth have run away with the title but the club seems to have support from the community unlike at any other time I can recall.

Decent enough performance; a game we would have made a mess of a few weeks ago.
Agreed with Corbett, thought Roberts looked sharp too. Been a good response since Darlo, but the next 2 will give us a good indication of where we are as both are bang in form.
Only slight criticism would be keeping the under 12’s free. I don’t think it’s unfair to charge £1/2 a game for them and noticed that most clubs at this level also charge for them.
Be good to see the club try and push these, they did an excellent job with the marketing for the community day and an aim for 2k shouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility.
Not quite sure where it’s gone wrong for them and was surprised to see in such a poor position. They spent some cash bringing in Cordner from Aldershot whom was their player of the season last year I believe ? And also Howe from Solihull.
They’ve also had fairly big crowds the last couple of years so we’re all set for a crack at the EFL. New owner is fairly active on social media which never seems to end well from a PR perspective. The ground is awful too, functional for them but a crying shame to be so far way from one of the best city centres in the country
Forgot about Youmbi. It’s frustrating as it’s the same scatter gun recruitment approach which has served us miserably.
Something the new board will have to pay attention with.
If he’s brought in as a winger that’s:
Wilson
Sembie-Ferris
Mcalinden
Law
Roberts
Corbett
* Elliott BeestinAnd we wondered on another thread why players stagnate here

Another ridiculous decision, or more so the timing of it.

Our squad has simply been too big for years, these lads are not getting an opportunity to get close to a run of games.
Midfield has been the main area of concern, I think we had close to 10 centre mids at the start of the year.
We always need more options though don’t we, a month ago we needed more midfielders apparently and now we’ve sent a competent local lad out to Spennymoor and paying others to sit in the stands- it’s the same strategy which hasn’t worked for 10 years.
We have more than enough talent at our disposal but for whatever reason they’ve downed tools or the manager is simply not getting the best out of them.

Without wanting to sound like a broken record… a big red flag for me was the way we capitulated after Notts County last year; he seems lost when things aren’t going to plan and as mentioned above, that’s probably translated to the players.
I don’t thing changing personnel will change our problems either btw- it’s comical people are looking at Bennett and carver again

They should be ashamed with the wages they are earning compared to their contemporaries. Ultimately the blame lies with Dean, but there’s a few who need to be looking in the mirror today.
We found the money for another 3 midfielders when they weren’t needed so there’s some change kicking about
No sympathy tonight; to set up how we did, especially after the last 20 at Chester is criminal.

Thought both him and Elliot looked sharp when coming on. Fair play to Jimmy for the positive substitutions too.
I really hope he analyses those last 25minutes and starts to set the team up different for the rest of the season.
The possession based approach has had its day against teams in this league now.

Incredible effort all round. A proud day for the club.
Second half was old school, they’re the type of halves that get kids hooked on going so hopefully we’ve converted a few.
Bizarre how we played so much better with 10- players looked well up for it and went much more direct rather than messing about with it across the back line and taking too many touches. Has to be the way going forward now as we looked a different side.

Thought it was Whitehall’s best game in a while- put himself about abit and actually went to hold the ball up.
Can’t remember the last time we shifted so many home tickets?
A full away end and that’s almost an 8k crowd.
Incredible effort all round.

I wouldn’t say sales Cliff, but it would appear that they have got rid of enough to break the record already, 2870 home seats gone, the 1000 from Chester and 2700 in the DRE.
Would be nice if they all turn up even i will be impressed with the club.1,000 went to grassroots and they were allocated earlier in the week by the looks of it, rest have been sales. I know people who haven’t been in years who have bought a ticket so something has caught on.
Record will be surpassed- looking at roughly 6.5k sold already.
Apparently the rail travel from
Chester is £1 On a special deal, so that might have something to do with it?Big surge in sales this week- looks like the grassroots has been another success.
Less than 300 left in the DRE and close to a 1000 for Chester.
Woking posting 1.2m losses for the 22-23 season. Another example of the lengths it may take to reach the football league.
No chance unless we fudge the figures. Would be happy with over 5.
Thought Chester might have brought a few more unless they’re expecting a surge this week.
Alfreton deserved absolutely nothing from that- awful to watch.
Can’t say it was much better from us but that goal felt huge and relieves some pressure off Jimmy and the players.
Clunan was more positive today but the midfield is still not right, far too gaps everywhere. Thought Ogle was much better and the centre backs did a good job dealing with McDonagh.

On the contrary, I’d argue the opposite is a dangerous attitude to have and the main contributory factor why we ended up in this mess.
But we differ on opinions, and that’s fine, this isn’t the Facebook group and I respect you may see it different to me.

He got a break,he took over a job above his ability ,got us relegated and is performing badly. He should have gone with Hilton if he had any sense of decency in my opinion
He’s in a contract- not his problem.
Sounds similar to when fans were saying George Taft didn’t deserve pension contributions because he couldn’t defend.
