Telford aren’t safe from the drop. Russ Wilcox is the new manager at Farsley Celtic.
    Go get ’em Russ!

Can’t see 13 draws saving them.

If the delivery lead time is 10 weeks then ordering 12-14 weeks before the start of the season might work. Just an idea.

Can’t argue that the stats/results haven’t improved, however Delaney, Feeney & Grant are an improvement IMO. You could also argue that Burns, Nuttall & Pyke are an improvement but, looking at what we had, they’re almost bound to be. We also look as if we have some idea of how we want to play but sadly lack the ability to do it. We don’t collapse from exhaustion after an hour now either.

    “Play Club owned players only.”

An admirable sentiment if enough of those players had any interest in which division we play next season. I think most are OOC in the summer and I doubt we could field 11 fit players without loanees.

I see John Yems took the result well again, said Crawley missed enough chances to win 10 games after his spat when we beat them at home.

Unfortunately I think he’s right (apart from the slight exaggeration) We could probably have lost 4 or 5 nil.

    Injuries?
    Or…..?

Look, it’s Covid. It has affected us far more than any other club. How often does the chairman need to tell you this!!

I think the next three matches are like 6 pointers. Teams closer to us in the league than we have been playing of late.
It really is time to start scoring…

We couldn’t score against a team that hasn’t kept a home clean sheet since August. ( Ref. RH ) When will we get a better chance?

Best memory in the league cup. We lost 6-1 and only Keegan and Terry Heath did not look out of place against the Gunners who were all bigger, fitter and faster.

My credentials as a potential football pundit were destroyed that night. Whilst walking home discussing the game I imparted my wisdom to my mates:-
“Keegan!! He’ll never make a footballer.” It was only about 10 years ago they stopped reminding me about it.

    Parting company with the club?
    Or each other?

Covid and us supporters have more to answer for than was suggested it seems.

Optimism seems to be heightened initially by new ownership, seems a long time ago for us. Sadly the optimism wears off when new owners fail to deliver as is often the case, timescale is variable obviously.

Where are Lewis, Hallam, Perry & Taft? Not seen any injury reports, an outbreak of Cantbearseditis in some cases?

Can’t have been that because some of those showing symptoms of the disease still got a game.

As a Crosby dweller it was along Frod. Road and up Fox Street for me. Friday night matches meant Wilsons for 4d chips and 2d peas on top to eat on the way home. Great days before the sad times being endured now.
P.S. The football wasn’t always that great.

Most entertaining game I’ve seen for a while.
We gave the ball away less.
    Never looked like scoring.
Delaney – immense, Millen – excellent.
Missed Nuttall winning a header (never got off the ground) and his burst of pace, are you sure it was him?
Still don’t think Rowe & Grant can work in CM.

Somebody will have to persuade the directors of Cool Silk to provide a budget for an upgrade to their ground. Any suggestions?

Strange signings it appears. We were aware that Nuttall hadn’t played much for 2 years, to me it looks like he’s never played before. He looks lethargic, 2 speeds – walk and trot, and failed to hold the ball once as far as I remember.
Pyke has an air of invisibility about him.

The big difference for me, 2nd half especially, was out of possession. When we had the ball we were immediately put under pressure by an opponent. When we gave them the ball, which we did frequently, we backed off and gave them as much time as they wanted to decide what to do.

Was at pains to point out it was not him and the players that caused the problem.
You are certainly correct about that Keith.

Sorry MK, I can’t agree. I’m no fan of Swann and I admire Hill’s efforts but today was solely down to manager and players IMO. Decent first half but the difference in the two managers half time team talks must have been massive. At least half of our players clearly have no desire to continue in league football.

I think you made a mistake with “the other 3 as they were” when Matheson was at RB. Millen to RB certainly.
Thompson was on the bench last week so might get a start.
I don’t think Feeney still has enough pace for an out and out winger, much better in a 3 playing in front of Grant.
Not seen enough from Sinclair to pick him in front of Lewis.
Burns definitely, not decided between Nuttall & Pyke yet, both have plenty to prove.
Big problem is that last week Hill said something along the lines of “Rowe will always play for me.” Can’t have both Grant & Rowe in CM IMO, not enough creativity.

Still not answering questions though. Have a read of Pat’s post above and then show some courtesy and reply. A simple “nothing” will do.

Just another example of anti-supporter behaviour. ” Let’s get the fans out in numbers to support the team.” What me?? No I’m not going!!
