Whoever it is most of us will get a couple of years of optimism for what might be before the likely rot sets in. They won’t please all of the people all of the time that’s for sure.

Yet more examples of players good before and after but barely adequate when with The Iron. Why??

“On the verge” said UTI99. Must be close then as he seems to be close to the owners.

I wonder if Mr Swann could be persuaded to watch this, especially the end bit where Nige mentions “it’s all about the supporters”
Just a thought but could we get another season or two out of Joe & Billy?
I can dream can’t I, makes a change from nightmares!!

To be fair to Bucks (and why not) his early unwavering support had much more substance than the pathetic offerings of UTI99 and he’s also now seen the light.

” Failed in the task he was brought here for.Turnbull don’t get pally give him the boot fresh start needed”

What will Lee’s situation be under any new ownership?

Here’s an idea, maybe they have negotiated as much as they need to! As I say use abit of common sense.

You could well be right, there are a lot of “maybes” in Mr Swann’s business plans.

    Mr Swann’s own words:-
“Although I have not actively been looking for a new owner, I have been talking to several groups who have an interest in the club and having stepped down I can spend more time now working toward finding a new owner for the club and securing its future.
I am delighted that Lee Turnbull has agreed to come in and oversee the operational side of the football club.”

The respective roles of Mr Swann and Mr Turnbull are clearly stated here.
Who should have been speaking to the prospective buyers?(And supporting the team as has asked the fans to do.) If I’m buying a house I want to speak to the person with whom I can negotiate not somebody who can give me a cup of tea whilst I look round.

SS after the horse has bolted! Swann steps down as chairman, announces his intention to sell, has potential new owners in the stand THEN you decide it’s a good time to ‘protest’.
Surely you see how ridiculous that is?

Swann has potential new owners in the stand but he doesn’t turn up and you are calling other people ridiculous.

“Why are so many Iron players better when they leave the SVS? – Please read above.”

They are also better before they arrive, not all, but many, have looked good signings based on their previous career. It’s what happens to them when they’re here that’s the mystery. Can’t be the manager as it’s been exactly the same under the last half dozen or more. How many years since we improved a player?

Good to see the stewards earning their money by enforcing the seating arrangements in the away end. Or maybe not!! No ejections for pitch encroachment from the DRE, change of emphasis since the last match, I wonder why!!

Hilarious that something like this was done when Swann is on the verge of selling the club.
Sums up how slow some of our fans are!

Was he there to see it?
Was he there to negotiate with the prospective buyers?
Was he there to ‘fully support’ his team?
Qualify “on the verge”, how close are we? Be honest, you’ve no idea have you?

Will any of our youngsters be good enough for the NL next season? Not sure, none of them have particularly excited me so far but that’s understandable given the circumstances.
Are any of them ready for L2 now? Nowhere near. Don’t destroy them before they’ve made a start to their careers Keith.

Mansfield have failed to score in 35% of away games this season.
Scoring 1.05 goals per away game.
They’ve only won 30% of their away games – losing 40%
They’ve conceded 23% of their goals in the last 10 minutes of games.

    A 1-0 win to us!

We are just the team they need to improve all of these stats.

It’s pointless when said owner could be at Aintree or sat on a beach somewhere.
Full focus should be on supporting the team, creating a good atmosphere that impresses the guys/girls in the directors box.

But it’s OK for the owner not to give his “full focus” supporting his team or entertain prospective buyers? Doesn’t encourage fans support and I doubt it will impress the guests. One law for the rich and a different one for those of us who’ll still be here in the coming years. You really do have some strange ideas.

Potential new owners at the game tomorrow. All eyes on the directors box.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH, we’d better abandon any planned protest then in case it jeopardises any potential sale. Will the current owner be there to begin negotiations?

Surely the rental amount due for a ground you don’t own would be of paramount importance to any prospective new owner.

We can’t go into liquidation when we have just won a Trophy.

So we’ve found the level at which we might be able to win a few games.

Im used to the Idea of NL football next season im over relegation we deserve it , Hill remains a massive let down but i am more concerned about the actual ownership / boardroom events currently on going and the actual survival of the club than SUFC could easily go out of business totally if things dont change and anew owner is found.
    UTI

How can we go out of business totally when the ex-Chairman has told us that the club is sustainable? Ah, yes OK I see the problem.

Presumably Mr Swann remains as a board member? That gives us Lee, Neil Wright, Mr Swann, Mrs Swann, Chris Swann & maybe Will Swann. So if it’s Swanns 4 vs non-Swanns 2 can there be any change?
