Mooney the most likely, doubt we’ll tempt any southerners with buttons.
if there shite they will be Wills pick.
Well all the others were I think! (Unless Beestin was his)
Yes please, as long as the latter’s not Darius or Damien!
Don’t say that, I was hoping Will’s radar had been switched off and his controller confiscated. I thought Hill made it quite clear that he wanted recruitment to be in his hands alone.
(Mind you that could have been scripted like ” Will got the job as chief scout because Cox asked for him “.)1 user thanked author for this post.
Anybody attend that can give any details on anything interesting, informative, controversial etc that came out of the gathering please?

Eisa barely featured at Bradford and I doubt Gillead’s stats look that impressive. McAtee however!!!
Unbelievable the number of players we’ve let go who go on to flourish
But let’s not forget that they are vastly outnumbered by those we’ve released that failed to make any sort of career in football.

If you were selling a house would you:-
1. Let it become dilapidated and still hope to sell
2. Spend a few quid to smarten it up and make it more appealing to potential buyers
3. Realise that it needs to be made more attractive but expect the neighbours to pay for it.4 users thanked author for this post.
People are following the owners lead aren’t they.

UTI99’s email address would be like gold dust to African “Princes” needing help to get their vast fortunes out of their countries.

The owners of the club have stated that they will put no more money into the club, how is that helping? They expect the fans to turn up and spend their money on match days but they don’t bother to attend. The club is up for sale (allegedly) but without the ground exactly what ‘assets’ are being sold?

But will we put put out a full squad or an under 20s team les?
In every 5 games Woolford would: play one blinder; one good; one solid; one average and one anonymous.
We always remember the ‘worldies’, of course.4 out of 5 average or better, oh for a few of those next season. But it’s his goals I remember les – GOALS!!!!! Do you remember when we scored some? Northumbiron will have great memories.
Need national league players who are hungry for success, not a team of league money grabbers.
We gave players like Vose, Margetts, Jarvis, Green, Onariase, Mooney, KDT and others an opportunity to become EFL players. None of them succeeded, sometimes these players are NL for a reason – that’s their level. Many NL players have reached league level with different clubs, but not us lately. Is it our scouting or our coaching methods that are flawed?

“The reality is that he did not learn from the mistakes that he was making”
He still doesn’t believe he made any and that’s part of the problem.

With his absence record what the hell were we doing even offering something else !
Tom Pugh released shows that Mr Hill is not the right man.I agree, I found that decision disappointing. He added a bit of bite and passion.
But very little football ability, his passing is terrible.
I’m not asking for control, I’m suggesting he sets the standard. It’s a bit like Boris – you lot are in lockdown but the government is partying. Maybe if Swann showed more interest then some fans would too.

You probably should be ‘bothered’ about the example set and actions taken by the owner of the club you support. Just my opinion of course.

Just as a matter of interest UTI99, do you know if The Swanns eat in the restaurant at GP or wear replica shirts at all? Two other things they ask fans to do to support THEIR club.

The facts are if income is down, due to people having the illogical idea that staying away will help, then the playing budget will be cut even further resulting in further struggles for the team.
All I keep seeing is Swann this, Swann that without any thought given to actually supporting the TEAM on a matchday.
People are cutting off their nose to spite their face.Perhaps he could set an example by supporting what is still HIS TEAM on a matchday. Asking people to do what he can’t be a***d to do seems a touch hypocritical to say the least.

Bath is more likely.

Worth having around for total peanuts but not in any other circumstances?
(Do pay-as-you-play deals still exist?)Hill waxed lyrical about his qualities a few weeks ago, with his injury record it would have to be PAYP for us to keep him IMO.
Difficult to assess attitude from video clips though.

Couldn’t be agents could it?
1st July – Agent “Scunthorpe have made you an acceptable offer but don’t do anything yet because I think I can keep you in the league on more money”
31st August – Agent “I’ve been let down by 8 league clubs that were interested in signing you so it looks like Scunthorpe is your best option”CT – I think he means “your only option”
I’d definitely take Delaney, as above he was asked to play in a back 5 that had no experience or couldn’t be trusted leaving him unable to concentrate on his own job.
Sinclair had one really good game and has more attacking intent than most. Playing him at WB didn’t help, I think he can be polished and if he can add consistency to his game he’s worth a go IMO.Where is it said that Lobley has been released? or retained for that matter.
OWS:-
“Although four players have been offered professional contracts recently, unfortunately four have had to leave at the end of their two-year scholarship too.
Daws said: “I just want to thank second year scholars Jake Balme, Oliver Lobley, Jamie Moore and Ben Franklin on behalf of myself and the staff for their efforts while with us and wish them all the best going forward.”1 user thanked author for this post.
I do believe we will be NL North at the end of next season because we still have a lot of dross whose level is exactly that. No manager can stop the rot only new owners
Have you not seen UTI99’s post? He has us as NL champions without any additions to what we already have in the squad. Are you not that optimistic?
But, Renee, do we enforce any discipline? We had a player suspended for 6 matches for spitting and what did we do? Forgave him, welcomed him back into the fold and selected him to play until he decided he didn’t want to any more. What a message that sends to other miscreants!!

Only real surprise is Pugh who did well enough for me in a poor side.
Plenty of dead weight still hanging around. Taft, Perry, O’Neill and Hallam all unlikely to get much game time. Can they be encouraged out by payment of 50% of their contracts?I’m surprised also by Pugh, Hills type of player, runs around a lot but doesn’t contribute much, not good enough IMO.
Taft & Perry could be a big problem if Hill refuses to play them, a drain on limited resources as with KDT. O’Neil won’t be on much and might stay out on loan and if Hallam can be kept fit he could be our McAtee in NL. -
