From our players point of view you’d hope any deals were finalised in December. Nobody has increased their value or enhanced their reputation since then.

They are lucky enough to have a career which puts them in the public eye, they don’t need to be embarrassed, they’re doing that themselves. I don’t think they’re being abused for not playing a game well, we’re NLN not PL, but rather for a perceived lack of effort. Acceptable? Maybe not. Understandable? Possibly.
Many fans are in jobs where they can be dismissed for underperforming and don’t have the luxury of a footballers guaranteed contract no matter how underwhelming their performances are.

I’d go along with that if “they will do their best for Jimmy and the team” could be guaranteed. Recent performances would suggest that is not the case.

These players must realise that it’s highly unlikely that any club, at the level at which they’re capable of playing, will be likely to match or even approach their current terms.
(Unless, of course, they have a “SuperAgent” who has convinced them that there is interest from the EFL. I hope potential suitors were at Darlo!!)

Some would say it’s the real world these days. Based on what I’ve seen this league is the one our players are equipped for. However nobody deserves the standard of officiating we’ve had to endure. When we were a “small” team playing “big” teams they always seemed to get the benefit of decisions, why doesn’t that work in NLN?

I still think “reduced terms” here should be competitive enough to keep players at the level they’re likely to be playing next season. Apart from 1 or 2 the rest will attract NL or NLN at best. Those that are contracted for next season will surely have to have them honoured but there could, of course, be a non-promotion reduction built in. You’d think that should provide the motivation that clearly isn’t there.
This rumour regarding a promotion bonus being withdrawn could have substance?
