I think that contracted for next season are:-
Whitehall, Kelly, Fitzsimons, Kouogan, Roberts and Law.
Based on Saturday’s selection Kelly is 4th choice LB and has surely indicated a wish to leave, he might be already sorted. Hope there’s a fee involved. I’d be amazed if any of the others will get a better offer than the (alleged) wages they’re on here and they’d form the basis of a decent team. If we can keep a few of the OOCs (DSF won’t be on much and Boyce might have another season in him) who are prepared for a reduction, possibly still more than they’d get elsewhere, then the hit might not be too great.

We survived with just days to spare from disappearing and being no more. We now have our ground and our club with the opportunity to advance onward and upward even though it may be in small steps. Sadly for me and others, age will limit our chances of seeing the final destination to continued success.

But will we ever have a better chance to ascend that first step? Not any time soon IMO.

Available to play LB – Kelly, McAlinden, Leesley.
Jimmy’s choice a RB/CB who he was happy to loan out recently!! Unbelievable Jeff!!

I think the kick would have been retaken if Elliott hadn’t scored. Keeper almost halfway to Elliott when he took it!
Defenders reaction when he clearly fouled Pugh was amusing.

Everyone who really wants a ticket will get one.
Is there any members of the forum or anyone they know can honestly claim that they wanted to a ticket for an SUFC home match but weren’t able to get one either online or by visiting the ticket office or via telephone?
    No, didn’t think so.

I’m not suggesting that anybody who wants one won’t get a ticket. Simply that it will be much easier for supporters and club staff if there are extra days to spread the load for staff and make it more convenient for supporters. Or is an increase in supporters an inconvenience for the NL.
(Consider supporters? Why would we want to do that?)

I guess the NL are used to clubs selling less than 2000 tickets for play off games, easy to do in a couple of days. If approached they must surely see the need to allow some flexibility for a club that could be dealing with 5,000+.

Kelly a better LB IMO and DSF, McAlinden or Clarke for Corbett. Also have Scales to free Beestin for that position and the mysterious Leesley. No worries.

Sorry if I’m a bit late but I’ve just seen that TNT are covering all NL, NLN & NLS play offs. Does that mean no streaming? Anybody confirm or otherwise please.

But I find SNOT’s assertion that the current manager will not be responsible for summer recruitment rather puzzling.

Promotion (or not) is surely the key. Achieve that and it’s inconceivable that Dean could be sacked, who would come to a club that sacks a promotion winning manager? Only the terminally thick or unemployable. IFA has the right idea about any new contract for Jimmy, 6 month maximum or a rolling monthly if we can get away with it.

It’s possible that those from recent years might be the subject of gagging orders. Surely any manager between Laws and Nelson (inclusive) will have tales to tell if able. (Maybe leave out those that would send the crowd to sleep before they got to the interesting bits. You know who I mean!)

Keep trotting it out bill, it’s still less than 2 goals per home game over that period.

Won away last night and probably need to win their last 3 games to give them a chance of play offs. Could make for a different type of game on Saturday which could help us maybe?

Won away to Banbury, even Bishop’s Stortford beat them last weekend!

Hereford finished with 9 men though. Bans effective today maybe?

Don’t be fooled MK, like the outfield players they up their game against us. Many of them will be rubbish for the other 42 games

Don’t need a sub keeper with Boyce in the playing squad we need all our five subs to be outfield players for every remaining game.

No choice now as Campbell has been recalled.

I think some of the the players will decide the retained list. Those contracted for next season and on “big” money will stay because they’re unlikely to get a better offer elsewhere. Those OOC will stay, if wanted, if they can’t get a better offer than the reduced terms here. THe others might to be allowed to stay if they’ll play for peanuts or go P/T. Let’s face it, nobody will be moving uo more than one division. A few decisions will have to be made by somebody.

    4-4-2 for me.
Fitzsimons (You’re having a laugh surely)
    Ogle Kouogun Evans* Kelly
    Roberts Butterfield Scales DSF/McAlinden/Corbett/Beestin**
    Whitehall Elliott
    *if available otherwise Boyce
** I’ll give Jimmy one pick.

(But as a biased Iron fan I can hope we both are!!)
