I’m going for a 2-0 Iron win, again we aren’t playing the way we were when we met back in November. They desperately need a win and may be a little more open as a result which should suit us, they are a poor excuse for a football team, their style and time wasting are appalling, just go stuff em guys.

    Top post.

Looks OK to me, I’d be happy with any of them in the starting line up.

I love to see good football, who doesn’t? Sadly for our club, in our present position, only results are important. If we get the occasional sight of some quality play that will be a bonus.

3 draws? A “good” point away won’t be good enough.

Absolutely amazed that Burgess got anywhere near the Prem. He looked out of his depth in L1 or L2 depending on where we were at the time.

Came from a darlo forum just before they played us Deerey, they reckoned he was on £600 at darlo.

Unlikely that we would have needed to increase his wages 2.5 times to tempt him even if we were in a position to pay that amount.

    Lol, what a dick.

Thanks for your explanation on another thread. Sadly having read the linked article I’m worse off than I was before.

I’d expect any PL player on PL wages to be fully two footed but few are.
NLN – maybe not but Butterfield was a great advert for it.
Coaching should be easy – ” take that ball and kick it with your wrong foot for half an hour every day.”

I remember Dave Bamber less fondly.
More recently Matt Smith, the scorer of an unforgettable double (GK) against us.

He got the most from Beck and moving Roberts improved the whole team ,much more of an attacking force .Hopefully we’ve seen the last of this cutting in all the time nonsense

Yeah, terrible tactic allowing Roberts all those goals.

Well that’s cheered me up. AB reckons Danny’s had 2 of the 4-6 weeks, I prefer his scenario.

The best chance of getting crosses in for Beck would be to play Roberts on the left. The trouble is that he’s too good cutting in from the right and scoring to change that. I’ve not seen enough evidence to convince me we have anybody else to deliver consistent, quality crosses.

He hasn’t played for a few weeks so can’t be match fit. Sub (hopefully Supersub) is all he can expect for a few weeks unless the mighty Beck gets injured.

This had better be good Cass. Please elaborate :)

It was a moderate to poor attempt at humour. I am too old to understand your post so I thought I’d get you back. Sorry.

Not sure xG (expected goals) is age specific? It was tongue in cheek football jargon.

Not an expression I’ve heard so thanks for the explanation. Mind you there’s loads of words, abreviations and phrases about these days that I don’t understand.

Maybe, because of the position they’re in, Darlo will come and try to win. That normally helps us. But a tough game for sure.
