Cases are rising.
check.
Deaths have flatlined.
also check.
Vituses mutate…thry aften become more transmissable but les lethal.
It’s not in a virus’ interest to kill it’s host, it can’t live outside the host.
But hey, keep being scared. So every death was a ‘mistake’ by the virus was it?
Get vaccinated and help the rest of us instead of being selfish.5 users thanked author for this post.
“It’s best not getting annoyed about it though until all becomes clear, then if we don’t have a prepared squad at the start of the season then start complaining”
We can’t have a fully prepared squad if some are not signed until a week before the season starts though. Bunn and Thompson are already with us, fair enough, but others will not have long to get acclimatised.
A local NL team have been selling their new kit to supporters for 10 days. The supplier is Macron, so it’s tempting to ask why.

Fans not customers.
Next time you see the chairman ask him if he wants fans or customers. He doesn’t seem that bothered about either.
Then ask yourself if he has fans or customers at his other entertainment venues.1 user thanked author for this post.
But didn’t you tell us that Slocombe was a done deal? I hoped you were wrong then, I hope you’re right now.

I’m looking for something to be optimistic about, UTI 99 has failed to provide as requested. All I’ve come up with is that the signings appear to be players that Cox wants and we’ve shifted Spence who he clearly didn’t want. Unbelievable that we had a player worth a transfer fee.
Spence replacement – ?
Was the Spence replacement not Kenyon?
Kenyon for Karacan was my thought.

Less than 4 weeks until the first league game. Some players now without income for 5 weeks. Desperate times for us and them, wage expectations coming down and our need for players remains. The players we still need MUST be signed this week to give them and the team half a chance of being ready.
110 minutes of Coxesque/Wilcoxesque football got what it deserved. Hoping Southgate & Cox learn from this, a great opportunity missed. Penalty organisation was a complete shambles especially as we knew it was a strong possibility. 2 played 120+ minutes and scored, 2 played 5 minutes and missed and a 19 y.o. in his first major tornament!!!! Unbelievable Jeff! Winning a penalty shootout with 3 just shouldn’t happen, Pickford deserved better.

Presumably when the loan is repaid then the embargo is lifted but it seems there is no need as we are signing OOC players on low wages. So when we’re on the fringes of the promotion race in January the loan will be repaid and the high profile signings needed to finish the job will be recruited.
Statement from the Chairman on Radio Hull Twitter.
Has anyone mentioned the very soft penalty decision?
No not a pen for me
I can’t believe that you’re suggesting that VAR came up with the wrong decision!!

You all said you wanted fan engagement and the first chance you have you all bottle it. How surprising. But don’t worry some fans will take it on, then you will be able to slag them off for been club stooges.
Nobody is ‘bottling it’ merely questioning its value. How would you answer the questions posed in my earlier post above?
Kyle Walker MOM for me, well done lads.
With the possible exception of Chris Iwelumo, isn’t the fella Brathwaite the worst international No 9 you’ve ever seen?Would a Fans Panel be necessary if management read Iron Bru and took on board some (not the obvious anti-club/anti-Swann offerings) of the many valid points raised on here in recent years? Will it make any difference if (for example) catering issues are raised face to face rather than reported on a regular basis on this board?

Cynical view again.
Will those selected to sit on the Fans Panel be the same people chosen to ask prepared questions at the Fans Forum?Fans not customers.
Support the 11 players on the pitch at every game. They represent Scunthorpe United whether you like it or not.
It’s really that simple.I’ve said before I support the club, can’t help it, but I cannot support players that don’t care – they don’t deserve it. Perhaps some of them needed reminding that they’re representing Scunthorpe United and not just turning up on match days to collect their money.
So Karacan replaced, McGahey replaced and Clarke replaced. So just Howard, Eisa, Gillead, KVV, Olomola/Mooney and Brown to go. Looks like we’ve started from the back, GK excepted, now time to move further forward for players to win us games rather than stop us losing.
Don’t forget the kits were chosen by supporters (UTI99 + 4) rather than Bruers who are not considered supporters by some as they have a tendency to criticise from time to time. “Real” supporters have still to find anything of which to be critical it seems.

“The way the Cods have gone about keeping the fans onside after relegation to Non League is worthy of note too”
Keeping the fans onside, an interesting concept indeed. Could we try that here now or will we have to wait until the following season.
Or you could buy a membership, last years shirts (very cheap) or pre-order next seasons third kit. Whatever you decide PLEASE buy something.
Oh it’s all gone quiet at GP, oh it’s all gone quiet at GP.
How many home goals in recent seasons, Cass?
Not too many certainly, just have to temper bills overenthusiasm with a little reality.
a legendary manager to transform the club and give us years and years of unbelievable times, thrilling football ,nearly 400 home league goals in ten glorious years
So an average of less than 40 home goals per season, less than 2 per game.
Thrilling football? Hardly sets the pulse racing does it?If we look in the right areas for loans we could be OK. We’ve done well with players from Forest & Huddersfield for example but less well with loanees from Prem clubs.
Some people still wouldn’t be happy if he won the Euro’s and the World Cup. They’ve made up their minds about him along time ago and that’s that.
Something of the kind goes on much closer to home, there’s still a chance to change a few minds though.
Only played 6 times in the last 2 seasons according to Wiki, very worrying if correct.
A homage to UTI99 who seems to have disappeared along with his optimism and positivity.
Cox happy with Hippo at LB last year and there’s sure to be a young CM who could play RB as we seem to try that every year. Don’t panic it’s all under control I’m sure.
