What about calling the gathering the SUM protest, Scunthorpe United Matter. because we have been subjected by management to lots of pain and abuse this season.

There is a chance of prosicution for holding it on private owned land.

Should be a cracking match on Saturday between two teams that have both lost their last five matches. so Cox should go for a 5-4-1 system, and try and hold out for the first 30 mins, but not to conseed three goals in the next nine mins like Tuesday, I have gone for a 1-0 home win, but could be a 0-0 draw. I have just thrown another £10 away for i-follower screening, that brings my 2021 seasons fees to £220 season ticket plus £230 for 23 away matches on i-follower thats £450, that from a pensioner should qualify me for a small part of the ground ha ha!

i will probably go to a couple of early season matches, but after many years as a season ticket holder, and supporting the club at the OSG and GP, I will certainly not commit to a season ticket, simply because I cannot see things changing on the playing field. I am not turning out just because I have done for 69 years when there is no longer any enjoyment or any entertainment being offered to me.

Can any supporter honestly see any likely changes happening whils Cox is selecting the team, and even more so selecting the 100% defensive boring system he wishes to instill into the team, added to the fact that Swanns son is now head of recruitment, he has proved that he does not have the slightest experience or idea of assessing players.

Remember when Lee Novak was your biggest headache, Barton?

Yes Cliff, I remember him well, I can recall making a comment on his constant running without any end product, but he would be a star in this starting eleven. Cox and Howard are now taken over.

I see where you are comming from Wondergoals regarding Gilliead, he does give his best mate, but maybe thats why it stood out today with him not being effective, but isn’t Howard a bloody nightmare!!!. Green is fast, but always tries to go through his marker, and todays fullback had him in his pocket, he lost his rag towards the end.

Say what you like about Hurst, but I would certainly frefer him to this Clown that we have right now, the difference being that ASwann could not control Hurst like he wanted, but with this clown 0f a yes man, it suit’s him down to the ground, or should I now say “his ground”.

Looking back over the season, from 29th Sep we had an EIGHT GAME RUN OF ALL LOSSES.
Now to end the season, WE HAVE HAD A FIVE GAME RUN OF ALL LOSSES.
That is a total of 13 losses in two runs, scoring 8 goals and conseeding 40, and we still have him in charge of our team, I think that we are well overdue a reason why he is still employed??????

Well, I must admit that for the first five years since Mr Swann took over the Chairmans job, I backed him 100%, like most others I had no reason to have any doubt of his stated aims.

But I now feel that the way that he has replaced Board Members with his family, and giving him full control of the club, this in my opinion has not turned out at all good. This latest announcement from him when informing supporters that his company now ownes the ground, all car park and training ground land, without giving fans of many years supporting the team and club any say of opinions stinks, there has been no word of the present team that we now have and why it has been allowed to be on freefall for the past three years, just that he informs us that he now ownes everything at GP.

My opinion on him is now a lot different to before, and I cannot see things ever getting any better in the future, just a thought, “were are the club going to get any future money from to stop this decline in the club, we now have no assets, only a squad that 90% of the players are not and never will be league standard, although we now have Swanns son in charge of recruitment, none of the family are football people, and they are responsible surely more a lot of the £12 million debt that the club has run up over the past seven years, and we are now asked to beleive that we should be thankful, and he is saving our once proud little club.

YES PLEASE TAKE A VOTE ON SUPPORTERS VIEWS!!!!!

Same could be said of the managers we let go, after all you wanted rid of Alexander mick. Then there were bobbins and Hurst, I know it was swanny in the end who got rid but they weren’t wanted by the fans mostly.

After saying that Awaywego, yrs a lot of fans did want rid of some of the managers, but it must be questioned if they were actually allowed to manage without interferance, because in my opinion Swanny appears to want to be the big boss, and we will never know why Alexander changed the way and style we were playing, to that defensive rubbish that we still witness even till today, as far as I can see possibly only the present Grimsby manager stuck to his own system, and Swann soon bladdered him, maybe Robins also resented the Swann ways to. But after saying that Awaywego, this present clown cannot lace the boots of any of the sacked managers, so what is he still doing here??????.

Anyway I think I have said enough on a few threads, and my views are well known, but this weeks news that our club have had their ground and all the land being handed over to Swann, when most of the clubs debt has been run up by Swanns failed pipe dreams. We now have nothing, no decent players, no ground and the only way ahead will be probably more and more debt, which we have no money to cover it.

I think you underestimate the chairman IITB. Surely the smart move would be to keep Cox, sign cheap players in May/June/July/August and then sack Cox so that he can be blamed for the dross that we’re likely to sign and next seasons potential disaster.

But Cass, what makes you think that Cox will have a say in who gets brought in during the Summer, it is Swanneys son that is head of recruitment, but we all know that he will not get any blame, who signed Turan, Hippolyte, Jarvis, Loft, Green etc, why has no body ever got brought over the coals for their signings. Cox must go before a pound of club cash is spent, he has proved that he has no idea what to do to stop the rot, mind it cannot be easy wit Mussa being his assistant. The big question is why is Cox not getting the old Swanny push, when all the many others had far better records than this clown.

The club is presently in a real mess, we only have about five decent players in a squad of about 50 players, we cannot score a goal, probably because we do not even shoot, we are in 22 slot in the bottom division, we are not given the slightest bit of entertainment, we have run up a debt of probably 12 million pounds over the past six years, we have now signed our ground and all land over to the Swann owned company, and now have no ground or money, and fans will not take much more of the shite they have been fed over the years, it is far too easy to blame the Corona virus for our plight, but the rot was well set into the club well before any bloody virus. So really the 4,000 long serving fans have nothing lefty have they???, or maybe some appartments ha ha!

Cox isn’t the problem he’s just a symptom.

Doesn’t matter who is in charge the end result will be the same.

And after another pathetic performance, Cox still gets people backing him, ae these people going to be happy next season watching this bloody rubbish, how many games will you ive him to change???, he has has 43 games plus first round Cup defeats this season, and things have just gone worse as the time passes. Swann has sacked eight managers that all had better records than this defensive clown.

Well we keep saying that things cannot not any worse, I am sorry to say that this was the worst Scunny performance in my 69 years of following them. For yje second match running Sunny failed to record a shot on target, and in the second half did not even have a shot of any discription, and this was against a poor team that had not won in the last TEN MATCHES, they over run us throughout the 90 mins, we were pathetic. Our only player of any worth was Gilliead, so what did brainwave Cox do, yes he subbed him ten minutes into the second half, probably the reason being thjat he was making our other ten look like none performing clowns, for Christ sake Cox. get back to being an assistant in non-league.
    .
WATSON—3—First two crosses into our goal area, 0-2.
    TAFT—4—Not involved much.
ONARIASE—3—Is obviously still playing with injury.
    GILLIESD—8—Only player worth his salt/
LOFT—3—No control of the ball.headless chicken again.
KVV—4—A few good free kicks, but no balls came his way.
GREEN—3—Never beat his man once during the game, but was kept on.
    SPENCE—3—Very little influence on things,
BEESTIN—3—A very poor match, caught in posession far too often.
ROWE—3—Another poor performance, one erreor cost the second goal.
O’ALLEY—3—Should have stopped the cross for 1st goal, a very poor afternoon for him.

TWO REFS–8—Both had good matches, the first ref was overcome by the dazling Scunny performance, he could not take any more.

COX—2—Thi is the worse Scunny team I have ever seen, and Cox is the worst manager we have had. Today we were playing a team without a win in their previous ten away games, and they outclassed us ib every department, sadley in work effort, and the aim to win, and for the 2nd game on the bounce we did not have a shot on tarhget, that is over THREE HOURS WITHOUT A SHOT ON TARGET, and Swanny keeps backing this clown and his partners.

Summaty—–Get this management team out of our club Swanny, supporters have just lost their Groiund this week, and they have now lost their once proud little team. We deserve to go out of the football league.

So an improvement on Tuesday then?

Can hear part of the Walsall post match now !!

Did we look leggy ? Whatever that means !!
Need to get some fresh legs back after the debrief !!!

Mr Cox’s thursday humberside interview summed up our season. He says he promised the players he would be honest with them. What about the supporters. If several are not good enough why did you keep picking the same failures ? Enough for me.

Do not give up Sanfran, you know it will work out with all this experienced management of ours, it is the same failures as usual. it will be the same boring defesive shite even though we are playing a poor team. Whatever the rubbish being served up under this bloody lot, we now have another new refurbished stadium to look forward to.

Anybody interested in here please. I’m going 2-0 home win and safety confirmed, don’t know why just a gut feeling.

Hell Iron-we, you say 2-0 mate, a couple of shots on targetr would be an improvement of late, although Walsall are really a poor team, I go for 1-0, although we do not do a lot of 1-0 scores.

Just hope that we can actually try and win one for a change, if we set up to win, and it is slightly entertaining, I would setytle for that, and not one up blloody front again.

The club has to start entertaining the remaining fans, the first thing for that to happen, is to kick this one up front rubbish where one player runs and runs until he is at stand still, next thing is to sort out these players that have conflics with either the club or its management, we cannot have our best players either not trying or being ognored by the manager, our club has had too much of this, next is to form a squad of 20 players, the club is too small to carry 51 players, and is there any point in a youth team when no one ever gets picked from it, and if good enough have a couple of bench warming sessions, the club just do not bring players through the system. Next would be to bladder all those managers, asst managers, coaches including G/K coaches and a few other staff that produce nothing, a manager with an asst manager and one coach is enogh for a club our size.
That is my advice to the club, now my advice to supporters is to give the wife an extra £15 for shopping, and listen to the game on radio Humberside, it is far more interesting listening to Tom Newey than sat freezing one’s cobbs of in the Cluggy.

I said before that this situation was happening at the club, and that they did not appear to bother that the club was falling into what we currently have, a club that is in the depths of league two bottom three of four, we have lost are about to lose our better players, we are over £10 million pounds in debt, and it is only a matter of time before we are a non-league outfit. No new stadium, no refurbishment, no appartments, and certainly no Championship football, it does not seem to bother anyone that the managements record is terrible, the entertainment has gone, but it would be ok if the club went out of business, simply because Mr Swann has his interests looked after because his loan to the club is well covered by the value of the ground and land, but I did not think that this would happen just yet!!

Looking back a few years, didn’t Peter state that the money put into the club by him was in the form of shares and not loans????

Anyway, the football being presented to supporters is now unenjoyable defensive rubbish, and fans do cartwheels if Scunny are involved in a match when they actually have above two shots pon target during a 90 min game. I can just see Awaywego99 doing cartwheels in front of the main stand, and UpTheIron69 standing on his seat cheering him on ha ha!

Sad times, but it has been coming over the past five or six years, and we will have an experienced National League manager in Cox, when we are there in a couple of years time, maybe ground sharing with Brigg Town.

o what are you saying Mick “that we are missing the clown that never leaves his goal line, I try and say it how it is pal, you may not agree, which is up to yourself, but please do not try and say that we are missing Howard, could it just be that only possibly 4 players are giving their best, instead of about eight before, and that no managerial skills have finally caught up with the team.

This present team Mick is pathetic, lacking effort, lacking skills, have very little skill in passing & Ball control, many want away from Scunny, but they should still put in a shft whilst still here`, but lets face it, management have no clue what to do to change things, and even a bout of Chairman bullshit is in short supply these days, Peter usually has the right thing to say to give fans hope, but even he has given this up, so it continues week after week and getting worse, and the sad thing is that all our previouse managers have been sacked when they have all done better jobs than the present clown and his management team, to use the words loosely.

“WATSN—7—Stopped this from being an even worse hammering.good job no Howard !!”

is it just coincidence BS, but since Rory got back in goal we are conceding at least twice as many goals a game, 12 in 5 inc a clean sheet, Howard had conceded 36 in the previous 31 games, he might be playing decent himself but he doesn’t inspire the defence in front of him, Howard organizes them better.

Len joined the Iron as a player in the same year that I joined them as a supporter, Len was a hard yackling wing half back, and also at times was moved to full back, he was full of energy and hardly missed a match, he would have been angry to see the present plight that the club are now ibn, an the lack of effort and total disregard that some of them have towards the club and its fans.

    RIP Lan.

Hope we will be going to Sutton next year, they’ve slipped up a bit lately but hopefully they can get over the line. That’s another one from Barton not coming anymore, are they closing the roads down or am I missing something?.

No Awaywego99, we are just fed up turning out to watch such boring bloody trash, and you and your father Peter can stick the whole set up your arses, we just do not want to waste ourtime watching such boringshite, you will have plenty of room to perform your arse licking, but no money coming in, so the club would probably fold, that situation would be sad for the 4,000 loyal club supporters, but would possibly be a good thing for anyone owning GP and its land. Are you one of them Awaywego69???

Cant disagree with previous and it is obvious most players are not interested or not bothered .
Cox must take blame but the chairman does not seem to care whether we are in the national league
I have been a season ticket holder for 40 plus years but not next season

And there was me thinking that I was on my own with the same thoughts asmyoursewlf pal, but with only 40 years mate, how do you think that I feel like after 69 years, there will be a few empty seats in the Cluggy Stand next season, because I am getting the feeling that National League wages could be the aim of our once great little club. I get this feeling simply because nothing is being done what so ever to stop this downward slide, fans have long since forgotten about New Stadiums, Re-furbished Stadim, 160 appartments and Championship football, we would like our spells in League One and Two to return to our club, anda bit of attacking football thrown in for good measutre.

THE CHANCE IS STILL OPEN TO YOU MR SWANN, SO A BIT OF TRUTH AND A SIMPLE PLAN IS REQUIRED, get rid of Cox, Lillis, Mussa and Wilcox and the under 23 team, get just one good up and coming manager and start again, but do not keep trying to tell supporters of many years that Cox is doing a great job, just a reminder that we have now gone 12 matches with just the ONE win, and think back a few months when we lost eight games on the bounce, that is ONE WIN IN TWENTY MATCHES IN TWO SPELLS THIS SEASON (ALL UNDER COX AND HIS BRAINS TRUST).

Thank Christ that there are only a hanfull of games remaining this season, I just wish that Cox would pack his bags and go, after admitting that he and his fellow management are bloody clueless. Once again, ONE SHOT IN 98 MINS, (which for interest purposes cleared the stand, and dare I say it once again, NOT ONE SHOT ON TARGET, and not even a suggestion of a shot, well depressing ratings, but what else can we do.

WATSN—7—Stopped this from being an even worse hammering.good job no Howard !!
ROWE—5–He has lost what skills he had when firs selected.
ONARIASE—6—Did his best, but this team is really pathetic.
TAFT—6—Very average tonight., they have brught him down to their levels.
O’MALLEY—8—My MOM, his workrate was great, and he put in many first class certres.
KARACAN—6—Was pissed off when subbed, probably because Eisa remained on the pitch.
BEESTIN—6—Got involved a good bit, but hot and cold really.
GILLIEAD–7–If anything was ever going to come from anywhere it would have been him.
EISA—2—This is stretching it a bit, why did the clown play him for full game?
LOFT—3—Headless chicken once again, ran, ran and ran a bit like Novak but not as good, god help any Scunny fans that stay with this shower for 2021/2 season.

REF—8—Ref was ok, and got things right.

COX—3—Team selection was piss poor, why select Eisa, and worse still why play him for 98 min, Loft is a waste of time ?? Rowe is not as good as Howe, but gets selected, and the whole team play aimless defensive boring rubbish, how much longer with this tripe Swann’y.

Good job there are tewo worse teams in the bottom league, but only just, and with our one win in twelve matches, how much longer Mr Swann???????

The situation is that after a couple of terrible lack lustre seasons when it has been painful to watch such crap, I cannot see why there does not appear that our fans are not demanding some kind of answer to the clubs sinking situation that is getting worse by the week never mind by the season.

I was just thinking back and looking at the way this season is panning out, as stated we have won ONE MATCH in our kast ELEVEN GAMES, this alone is unacceptable to supporters of most clubs, but thinking back to the start of the season, DIDN’T WE GO WITH A PERIOD OF 8 CONTINUAL DEFEATS ?????, so that adds up to two playing periods where we have WON ONE GAME IN 19 MATCHES, and Swann and many fans just have good opinions of management, most clubs supporters would be holding protest marches in such cases, but of course we hold these for things happening in America, and not our own business/

Anyway most of you are happy, so why should I yry to explain how our club is heading for non-league football, which ids a cwetainty with this lot running things.

We have won ONE GAME out of our last ELEVEN MATCHES, and the manager still get the backing of Swann and the supporters, it’s unbeleivable. when other managers of ours were bladdered for half this terroble record, and as a defender I would have thought it would be prssible for Cox to practice and teach defenders how to cut out a few crosses.

What a load of aimless rubbish, how did Scunny came away only losing 3-2, it should have been 4-0 at half time, we just are clueless at defending corners, so what did we do, present them with corners!!. the other reason we lost was the fewct that the ref was replaced after getting inuured and was replaced by a bloody clown that gave every decision to the home team, including a penalt whicjh was not even a bloody foul. But being truthfull we did not decerve anything from the game/.

WATSON—8—MOM by far, he kept the score gown to 3, including penalty save.
O’MALLEY—5—No defender should score more than 5, because they cannot defend.
    TAFT—6—Played ok.
    McGAHEY—-5—Not fully fit and struggled/
CLARKE—5—Once again injured, probably the end of his rime at Scunny.
GREEN—4—What can we say, how did he stay on till 73 min, did nothing again.
McATEE—5—Went missing for long periods, not good enough.
KANACAN—6—Did ok, but this team is not good enough for league 2.
GILLIEAD—5—A very quiet game from him. no really involved.
EISA—4—Scored a good goal, but was very poor and did very little.
KVV–5—Not effective today and did little right.

    SUBS—ALL 4–

    FIRST REF—8—Was a good ref.
SECOND REF—3–A little short of being pathetic. gave EVERYTHING to the home ream.

COX—N/A—At home on dsick leave, the best place for him.
This squad are not even league two standard, at the end of the season they should keep six players, and bin the remainder, appoint a new set of management team, and make a fresh start after employinbg a new scout to sign a few players, bin the under 23s and have a squad of 20 players,, because these are not ever going to make the basics of a league team!!!!!

Another very poor showing by Scunny, they lost 4-1 to Morcame. who did not play well.but they didn’t have to. On this showing, how the hell are the club going to sell sewason tickets for next season?????????, fans are just not going to bother turning out to watch this tubbish, and with Cox, Lillis and Mussa at the helm, there is no sigbs that can be not even worse!!!
WATSON—6—Good first half. but not too clever after the break.
O’,ALLEY—6—Did what he could, put in some cracking corners, but no threat from them by team mates.
BEDEAU—4—Not a good game for him, was subbed and no wonder/
TAFT—6—Played ok, and tackled hard, but no support to fron player.
HOWE—5—Hot and cold, subbed early, tells the tale really before getting sent off.
HIPPOLYTE—4—How the hell does Cox keep picking him?
    SPENCE—6—Playedf ok and tried hard.
    KARACAN—7—Did well in a really poor team/
GILLIEAD—-8–Ran himself into the ground, one player worth his wages.
MaKATEE–6—Played far too deep and was mostly behind the midfield four.
KVV–4—Did absolutely nothing and did not look like he was bothered/.

REF—8—No problem, did well for a first year ref.

COX & HIS TEAM—3—They are practically clueless. and we have no future under these clowns, their playing system of 44-4-1-1 is rubbish and has no chance what so ever of bringing positive results, as well as boring everyone to tears, and Swann is very happy with them!!!!.there will be a lot more than the old fellow that will sit it out next season.

Good job there are three worse teams in league two.

If the chairman wants to see a dignified way to handle criticism, he should look no further Neil Cox.

He’s come across well this week and I was impressed with his calm response on Humberside prior to the game.

Talk is so easy Cliff, results of what is said is the difficult task, we have had it for over seven years :-

    A £45 million New Stadium.
Then another new stadium. 55 acre of land offered for £5
Then a £25 million reburbishment of GP.
Added to this, 160 appartments built near club car park.
Then, we will aim for the Championship.

Result of all these dreams being:-
    Astruggling League Two team.
Fans still peering round support columns in the Cluggy stand.
And a team that plays defensive unentertaining tripe week after week.
Added to that the club are probably about £12,000,000 in debt.
Then the latest killer blow being “you are lucky to have a team at all”

Well, thatwas a fighting show by the lads today, and the point gained against a very good team in Tranmere was good to watch, so why did they roll over like they did against Carlisle on Tuesday. Although we rode our luck at times it was a good reformance by the players, and how good is it to not be a nevouse wreck with Howard in goal, Watson should have madse the keeper position his for the last seven matches.

WATSON—-8—MOM performance and his positioning and ball handling was 1st class.
TAFT—8—Played very well and hope that he can keep fit and play for us next season.
BEDEAU—7—Did not let the team down and is improving each game.
GILLIEAD–7—Not as outstanding as normal, probably because his team mates played betteer.
KVV—6—Got through lots of wirk, shooting was pathetic and was living on a very short fuse.
HIPPOLYTE–6–Played his best game I can recall, keep it up, tired towards the end.
BEESTIN—7–Played ok, shooting not very good, but got involved throughout.
KARACAN—7—Hard man, and gets really stuck in.
HOWE–7—Another good game for him, he is good at supporting the forwards.
O’MALLEY—6—Played well enough, but overdoes it occasionly, a good prospect.
McATEE—7—Thought he had a better game, and got stuck in for a change, would not have subbed him.

SUBS—6—Did not bring a lot to the game.

REF—9—-Was really a cracking ref and contributed to the game being flowing, would love to see him again.

COX—6—The team showed a lot of fight and did noy roll over and play 95% defesive rubbish, although the luck was with us, and our keeper kept us in the game whilst the Tram, ere keeper had an easy match, we must stop giving away so many corners and free kicks, although they were better dealt with by Watson, and we really do need to get players in the other teams box if we attack, one man in the box does not have a lot of chance of beating three defenders.

We are safe due to the three very poor teams in Grimsby, Southend and Coldhester who are all too far behind to catch us, but with five of our next six matches being away games, we need this good lead.

Uptheiron99—–you take the piss by calling us suooiters customers, well pal I am a supporter and a customer, and have pribably put many, many thousands of pounds into the club over 69 years, it started in 1951 at 6d per week, and after just thinking, this season has cost £240 for my pensioners season ticket, I didn’t get it at the pre-season special price, and like most other true fans, did not want or request any refund for the clubs offer regarding the lost games from last deason, and on top of this, there is the added cost of the 23 away i-follower games at £10 each, so this is a total cost of about £500 to me, and there will be a good few others like myself.

So when you slag us off Uptheiron99, I think that we can probably be called suporters!!, and at least the Chairman could have said to the elderly guy that he was sorry to hear that he would be no longer be getting his usual season ticket, and hope that he has a change of mind. So do you still feel that suporters do not have any reason to complain about Coxes defensive rubbish being presented to us, I am wondering if Mr Cox will invite myself for a chat????

It could be possible that with all the diving and yelling that the Premier players do, that they actually convince themselves that they are actually injured. It is high time that refs in that League get a grip of all that diving and falling over their own leg drama, it has become a recognised acceptable thing now.
