I am no longer a member of the Prediction League, but have a very good record and predict
Newport 1 Scunny 0, the team will hold their own for the first hour, then pack the defence with the keeper and nine others, which will result in Newport taking full control till the end.

Theywill run out of energy as usual, but will take 0-1 defeat as being a good result, even though it will take their brilliant record to just ONE WIN IN THE LAST TWENTY MATCHES.

Cox cannot understand why we lost as he monitored very good training sessions during the week, we will now sit holding the other 23 teams up, but the manager and his brains trust team of coaches will still be in charge on Monday, they must hold one record as keeping his job even though his team have the worst record for a manager by any ever team, but he still retains the fans respect for being a nice man ha ha!

Squeaky man has never managed a League club.

Furthermore……He has no managerial experience whatsoever. He is surrounded by people with no knowledge about coaching a football club and would not have a clue in the transfer market.

If Peter Swann said shit he would leap onto the shovel.

    Oh dear

Ironking—–that summary you have published above suits the present squad of management that is already running the club.

Cox has never managed a football club, he was assistant in non-league.
Cox is surrounded by non experienced coaches, Lillis and Mussa.
And the present recruitment team have no bloody clue in transfers, just look at our squad!!.
And Swann is not arround and has no interest in SUFC, so he cannot say shit, unless he is making reference to our team. The complete lot want kicking out of our club.

What’s form got to do with an away day, and it been Harrogate, new ground, and a tourist town. I was shocked it took a week to sell out, and thought they would have offered season ticket holders first dibs but it seems to have worked out ok.

There will be plenty of new grounds to visit next season mate.

Regarding season ticket holders, I do not think that the club have season ticket holders contact info, because I have spoken to at least ten previous ticket holders that have not renewed this year but have been ticket holders for many years, and not one has received anything from the club asking why they have not renewed.

There just isn’t any contact or information between the presently run club and supporters, all they seem to put of the club page, is info on how to purchace tickets, but never any info on what is happening, supporters have been accepted as lost items to forget about.

Cliff—–I did not say that you wanted Neil Cox as manager, what I was saying is that although I have never spoken to the guy, people including yourself keep on saying that he is a very nice man, which is probably so, but he will never make a football league manager, but if Neil is a laugh a minute type, he shoul;dn’t be in his present job, his previous background is assistant manager of a non-league team, and he has proved week after week that he hasn’t got a clue on how to change things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and it doesn’t help having those other clouwns as his assistants.

Either they all go, or it is non-league football or bankcrupsy for Scunthorpe United, and in my opinion Mr Swann would welcome that now that he owns the clubs land.

I don’t understand after going in at halftime why a team comes out for the second half and seems worse than the first half.Normally we all know that after the managers instructions they usually get better ????

Premier-Iron——It is so easy to answer your question Premier, at half time it is normal for managers to sum up tyhe first half of the game, and request their team of what is required to rectify the situation.

All that the other team manager has to say to his players is:- come on lads we are only playing Scunthorpe, now lets take the game seriously and give them a thrashing, I told you all during the week that they have only won one game in their last 19 matches, do you really want the honoiur of being the second team they beat in such a long period of time.

So that is one managers job done, whilst the brains trust of Cox, Lillis and Mussa just instruct the team that they must drop more into defending, and telling them that although they had trained well during the week today is match day, so they must ease up and save themselves till Mondays training session.

That has answered your question Premier, and get ready to change your logo in May from Premier-Iron to Non-League-Iron.

None of our anger should be directed towards the management/players. Cox is a decent bloke who will be hurting as much as us; he appears well out of his depth but that’s not his fault. Nor the players who are clearly trying, but again, just not league standard.

A protest has to be a United from amongst the little supporters there are left. Organised for a certain time and promoted by those with a decent reach on social media The iron bru podcast, Iron trust, max bell etc. Momentum will build if it appears enough are interested.

Personally, I’ve had enough of the laughing stock we’ve become. A non league stint will hurt but it’s always inevitable when you are one of the smaller clubs in the football league, I can live with that. I can’t stand the fact we’ve had our assets stripped for a debt incurred by an egomaniacs spending spree.

    SWANN OUT

Cliff— as you insist in telling us, Neil might be the nicest guy about, no one is saying that he isn’t, but when you say that he must be hurting with things, “he sure can take a real lot of pain” without doing the slightest to stop it. So lets all agree that Neil is a really nice top class guy, we all agree to that!!, but then lots all agree that after his terrible record at Scunny, he just isn’t ever going to be a football manager, just missed relegation from league 2 after a full last season in charge, and again his team is sitting bottom of league 2 once again, and he is in chasrge of SUFC that has won ONE MATCH IN THE PAST NINETEEN GAMES!!

Do you agree with this Cliff, or will you be happy next May to say “we have had a bloody terrible boring season ending with non-league status, but our manager is a really nice guy”, JUST AN HONEST ANSWER FROM YOU CLIFF!!!!

Watch us die like Chesterfield, Grimsby, Southend, Notts County, Wrexham, Stockport, Torquay etc?

If you don’t like the English football pyramid go support a franchise league.

Yoiu are one annoying twat, how Scunny fans can read the arse licking shitye that you print 100%, not even 99% of the time without feeling like ringing your neck, or at least letting you know what an annoying prick you are is beyond me.

Also what do you expect to happen? Swann sell up and the players turn into Messi?

What is it with everyone in society wanting a reason to protest? Grow up.

The one and only reason you prick, this being that our once beloved club is being guided out of business by owners and management that have no clue regarding running a football league club.

Shame on Swann, Cox, Lillis and Mussa, they are clueless.

He has got a mask to protect his facial injury but apparently cannot see properly when wearing it.

The club probably forgot to order one with holes for the eyes.

Those masks would be good seller to the remaining supporters, they wouldn’t have to watch the rubbish when wearing them.

Don’t you read the official club web page?. They tell you all you want to know on there. When you say about Swann left or leaving is it the same kind of announcement they did when Elvis left the building. I am having a Chinese tonight hope it’s not them that’s taking over i just think they should stick to what they do best.

What is that then awaywego, manufacturing killer viruses ????

Wednesday would be a good day to get rid, though I do think it would be hard to put one Cox out. For god’s sake give the man a break he’s just lost his father.

Utter rubbish awaywego, Christ man he was in charge all last season when we just avoided the bottom two places, he has been in charge all matches this season, about 12 games including cups., his latest record is ONE BLOODY WIN IN NINETEEN MATCHES, and the club still have so called supporters that say give Neil this, and give Neil that, whilst the man hasn’t got a bloody clue!!

It was stated on Humberside that Swann has not attended the last four matches, so with him driving the club into non-existance and out of the football league, it will suit Swann to have a no hoper running the club, and all the land down near the M181, will not be required by a football club that has gone out of business.

I like many other SUFC fans actually beleived all the bullshit that Swann gave us, yes for five years I fully backed him and his actions, it just shows how bloody stupid we have been.

But what can we actually do, we can protest, or we can stop going like many of us have done, but until Cox and his fellow brainstrust are bladdered, we will continue on our downward journey. My only suggestion at the moment is for all fans to stop attending home games, I never thought I would ever come out with this, but with the owner not giving a bloody toss and cannot be bothered to attend, why should we.

The new Barnet manager was today sacked after 7 matches because of poor results, whilst our lot have now had 50 matches last season, and 10 matches this season, but still keep aimlessly plod along at the foot of league 2, when, when, when will they get the call to visit the Chairmans office for a short talk and their P45s ????

A very bad ending to a game that we had put in so much effort, it was sad that the 4-4-2 was changed for that last 15 mins.

A good effort, but it will take a lot more than that to attract lost fans back to GP.

It was good listening to the game when we played 4-4-2, I wasn’t there, but what happened, did the team drop back to 8-1-1 for the last 15 mins plus added time??, I would think so.

And two bad FUs from Beestin and Hippo and the hard earned points thrown away.

Just feeling happy driving along from Donny, and then it was announced on Humberside that
Alex Definitely Kenyon would be assisting the comentry of the Carlisle v Scunny match today.
Nearly crashed the car when finding that my afternoon was going to be spoilt, the other guy opened the show by stating that “it was very hot and sweaty in the press box and then said he thought it would be very draining in playing in this heat, what do you think Alex?”

You guessed the answer “YES DEFINITELY”. So just two words in and the dreaded Definitely came to fore.

Well its all happening, my son just rang me and said Scuuny were 1-0 up, yes DEFINITELY 1-0 up!!

Awaywego—–they are only repetitive because nothing ever changes at the club, so how is it possible to change my opinion????????????????????.
Present fans with some entertainment and we will attend, and sing the praises of the management and players but their efforts are making this impossible!!!

With Manny back on Saturday and a much more solid back “five” a win will stop a lot of this critism a loss is likely to intensify it. Still not sure how we will score a goal though unless we are fortunate enough to get a penalty.

Vadar—–I cannot see a win making a lot of difference pal, all it would do is make us the winner of 2 games in 18 instead of 1 game in 17, this is a pathetic record that would take more that that to change supporters minds. I know a few very long term hardened fans thath just will nt go, simply because you cannot gain any enjoyment by doing so. I am sure that if entry was free right now, they would not get 4,000 to attend, it is that bad.

Scunthorpe United will play at Glanford Park or equivalent new build for the next 99years?

That agreement is only in place whilst the club are trading, if they go bankcrupt, which is very probable, there will not be a football club and the assets do not belong to the club, they belong to Mr Swanns company that now owns them.

So continue your arse licking UTI99, no one takes any notice of what you spew out.

Do you mean 3 years ago?

Of course the last few seasons have been tough, what did you expect? We’ve had to let our high earners go to fit a sustainable model that so many of you wanted.

As for this season, we’re 7 games into it. Maybe people should try turning up and getting behind the team, it might have a positive impact on their performances!

UTI99—You are one big wind up twat, but having said that. I actually think that you really beleive the owner loving shite you put on this forum.

Time after time you keep repeating the same old “get yourselves down to GP and cheer the lads on”, they do not do anything during the 90 mins that can be cheered on, they are just not league 2 class players, and are outclassed nearly every game, does one win in 17 matches suggest to you that there will be much cheering, and either one or no shots on target during the full game, and playing at home with one player standing up front suggest a buzzing crowd, wake up you bloody clown and continue to stand near the directors box cheering and clapping as you are asking us to do. The truth is that we no longer see any enjoyment in visiting GP with this management running this rubbish.

We have had many years during my 71 years supporting SUFC, but we have stuck by them during every season, but in this time I cannot remember any period of time when supporters moral has been so low, and it is getting worse week by week, season by season, and all pleasure as been removed in being a Scunthorpe supporter, it’s time for a big change, not by the fans, but this inept management lot, fans can do very little, only probably moan, but operation of a club should be in the hands of management, but fans see no action being taken by them.

How do those not attending think they are helping the TEAM?

All I want is for people to go and support the team rather than making petty excuses for not going i.e tatty flags, dirty seats, drinks in plastic glasses etc.

Yes the team isn’t the best at present but I wonder how they’d react to positive crowd getting behind them.

UptheIron99—–You ask this question, how do those that are not presently attending games think that they are helping the club? The answer to that is that supporters stay away, they might just get present things changed, how bloody long do you think that a team can go with just one win in 17 matches, and retain supporters???, especially if the football being presented is that bloody poor, has no entertainment value what so ever, and is unenjoyable to watch, answer your own question, “Are you enjoying watching SUFC” ????

I agree with you comments about plastic glasses, torn flags and dirty seating, but there is a quick fix to those issues, but three years watching the way our club has desended, to its present status of rock bottom, playing defensive rubbish, playing one up front in home games, having one shot on target during 90 mins, and for anyone to stand and cheer that shite would need to be a lunatic, and at the same time pay to be bored to bloody death.

Our yearly aim that the club have developped is to try and avoid relegation, what a sad situation to have now arrived at, after our TWO NEW STADIUMS, NEW FULLY REFURBISHED GP, OUR CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE STATUS, OUR 160 APPARTMENTS ETC ETC ETC. ZERO% HAS HAPPENED!!!, and all we have to see is that our stadium, car parks and training ground have been removed from the clubs assets after the owners ran up a so called £11 MILLION DEBT, ON TOP OF BORROWING ANOTHER MILLION FROM THE FA.

So please do as UTI99 tells you, and stand and shout your support for your team whilst they are getting stuffed 0-4 at home, then go home and kick feck out of your dog, but please do not blame the owners or the Manager and his brains trust team.

We are second from bottom, simply because Oldham are actually worse than us, despite a few fans thinking that things will be ok, our only chance of staying up is if another team get problems as well. It is very early in the season, but once a team starts to fall behind the rest, it really takes some getting out, and we do not appear to have the playing squad or the right type of club management, but presently things look grim, and there has been nothing done to suggest that anything will get better.

I was talking to another three ex-season ticket holders that have sat near me for 13 years, and we all expressed our feelings that the SUFC have not made any contact with any o us to ask why we no longer attend. We all thought it was strange that the club was just happy to lose us regulars without an e-mail or a little note to request if they could do anything to change our minds.

Bartonscorpion, the club put a statement out 22 hours ago, well before your post “looking” for the sacking of the manager. Sometimes you just have to admit you got it wrong

For your information, I still cannot find any info on the club site, if you are refering to a face book statement, I have never used that face book thing. So please take it that neither Wondergoals or myself have and had no idea, and Northumbiron, that statement on Saturday usually follows a manager either getting sacked, or after being put on gardening leave, but as usual, you people always look for the worst possible side of other people, this never changes, and it is usually stated in cases like this “due to a family bereavment” not “DUE TO PERSONAL REASONS”.

Anyway whats the point, you are always correct, and we are always wrong.
