I’m getting in early to give Neil & Mark 24 hours to digest the team suggestion and come to the conclusion that it can’t be any worse and just might work.
    Watson
    Rowe Onariase Taft Thompson
    Wood Perry Pugh
    Beestin
    Bunn Scrimshaw

Assumptions:- Millen & Davis not fit, Hackney not guaranteed a start
Proviso:- No long, high balls to the front two. UTI.

What do we think of Bunn? Have we seen anything from him yet?

I’ve already nicknamed him ” sticky ” if that helps? We obviously need more time to see him as he’s been injured already but I think if he stays fit he could be a good signing.

Is he a striker? Or a winger? Or a forward? Not really sure what to make of him myself.

Good work with “Sticky”, can’t knock that.

I hope you are right, in the absence of Ryan Loft, that is about the best we can expect.

I woold put Bunn wide right instead of Wood and stick Jarvis up with Scrimshaw because we will lump it. Otherwise agree.

If Wood plays it’s probably a condition of the loan deal. If Hackney plays then it’s definitely part of the loan deal.

Nothing agagainst the young boys, they will probably end up as fine footballers but based on the last 2 games theyare not equipped for a League 2 relegation fight just yet.

Assume Bunn is unfit. Forced into 4-4-2.

I would have picked Rowe ahead of Millen and Pugh ahead of Wood otherwise best of what’s available.

Shows how much shit we are in that Hippo makes the best available team.

Could have picked Rowe at CB so let’s hope it was a realisation that 4-4-2 works better. Pugh for Hippo would have been my choice, looks unbalanced with only one wide player unless it’s a 4-3-3?

The balance may well end up being better than last week.
At least Millen has 90 minutes under his belt. Improvement.
    Hackney out. Improvement.
A likely 442. Might well be an improvement.

Injury list creeping up. Seriously need a high power game behind closed doors to improve a number returning and needing game time.

Hallam back in the squad, wonder how long he lasts this time!? Great start so far.

Just feeling happy driving along from Donny, and then it was announced on Humberside that
Alex Definitely Kenyon would be assisting the comentry of the Carlisle v Scunny match today.
Nearly crashed the car when finding that my afternoon was going to be spoilt, the other guy opened the show by stating that “it was very hot and sweaty in the press box and then said he thought it would be very draining in playing in this heat, what do you think Alex?”

You guessed the answer “YES DEFINITELY”. So just two words in and the dreaded Definitely came to fore.

Well its all happening, my son just rang me and said Scuuny were 1-0 up, yes DEFINITELY 1-0 up!!

4-4-2 and having a go at the opposition. Who would of thought that might work?

    Definitely 2-0 up at HT.

What a difference O’Malley makes. Two corners, two goals. Quality early crosses into the box too.

Jarvis leading the line okay (complete with Jack Grealish hairstyle) and Scrimshaw looking busy. MF still giving the ball away cheaply though.

Defence looking okay if a bit pedestrian. Only one real scare. Let’s keep it that way for another 45.

O’Malley vs Thompson is a good headache to have. O’Malley’s delivery is always spot on but for me Thompson has probably been our best performer so far this season. Play both?

Why do we sit back and throw points away, for gods sake it doesn’t work, it doesn’t look like the substitutions worked either.

Just f**king unbelievable. Excellent first half thrown away by the useless management team who don’t know how to kill a game off.

    Gutted.

But not embarrassed by the performance for once.

Good and bad to come out of that.

No more excuses now Neil. We all knew what worked now you’ve seen it for yourself if you go back to 5 at the back 1 up front bollocks then I’m afraid you’ve got to go.

442 and have a go and we scored from open play. Who’d have thought.

On the good side all of the defenders look so much more comfortable playing in a 4 and Millen looked a different player with a game and some more fitness.

Jarvis looks capable of leading the line and being reasonably effective when given a partner.

O’Malley offers so much with his delivery and I’ve seen nothing from Bunn or Green this season so I’d be playing him and Thompson on the left in a 442. And that allows you your 5th defender to make Cox feel more comfortable.

On the negative side we are still lacking a leader in CM to help us see a game out. Awful decision making from Beestin for the first goal and poor defending from Hippolyte for the 2nd.

We still lack depth and looked much more fragile when O’Neill and Rose came on but that was possibly down to Carlisle stepping up after pulling one back. O’Neill looks very weak though and wasn’t helping relieve pressure like Jarvis.

You’d have taken a point before hand but to lose 2 like that is poor. We need to manage games much better.

From what I hear we dominated the first half and could have been out of site, but second half we just sat back with 10 players in the area absorbing pressure then Beestin made a silly area when he could have cleared the ball and like usual conceded and in typical Iron style gave another away with the last kick.
I would like to know what is ever said at halftime because it rarely works.

It was good listening to the game when we played 4-4-2, I wasn’t there, but what happened, did the team drop back to 8-1-1 for the last 15 mins plus added time??, I would think so.

And two bad FUs from Beestin and Hippo and the hard earned points thrown away.

A very bad ending to a game that we had put in so much effort, it was sad that the 4-4-2 was changed for that last 15 mins.

A good effort, but it will take a lot more than that to attract lost fans back to GP.

“OK lads, that’s it, game’s won.
Just sit back now and they won’t score…you know, like we always do….oh…wait…”

Please God, taxi for Cox before we are done for.

If the boot was on the other foot and we were two down would we come back to take a point,of course not. For Christ sake the best form of defense is attack get the ball down the other end they can’t score then. You’d think our management team hadn’t played a game of professional football between them.
