Maybe hold fire on new initiaves and try and get the ones we do have right and fair.
Re: The lottery Apollo. If Darlington are paying out a jackpot of £1000 per month with a further eight prizes of £50 on the back of only charging £5 per month there’s something seriously wrong with our payouts.
You can go back through my history and you’ll find no bigger supporter of the start up of it, but their failure to take it forward is a disgrace imo, sure in theirs there happy with what it brings in and can’t be arsed to do anything else.Which actions aren’t correct, 6,7, could be a matter of conjecture but the rest?
Present club actions.
1. Inflation busting season ticket price rises
2, failure in their promise to increase the lottery jackpot, and to do a weekly prize.
3,change the 50/50 draw into a £500 maximum prize money.
4, Added cost for families at home fa cup matches
5, increased the non playing staff
6, partnership deal with a internet company that is scarring landscapes with unnecessary telegraph poles
7, partnership deal with a company charging £30 pounds yes £30 pounds for a signed photo of a national league north player lol.
8, stopping fans from going in the executive lounge after the game ( which is still costing the club money as not all have returned after their U turn)
Cant understand why there are any complaints can you.Probably missed some out if I think of any more I’ll let you know.
Michelle’s panty liners v Stu’s match worn underpants sexism at its worst
Spalding (Jimmy) pays undisclosed fee for striker.
IFA imagine you’ll be in trouble for mentioning ‘match worn underpants’ my post got deleted for mentioning a woman’s sanitary product and didn’t even say Used.
Do you not think the club could use the extra circa £30’000 from the overall 2000 more fans they’ve attracted in the first 4 games to go and get some better quality loan players, or maybe even buy a player of our own.
Never mind all the other money brought in from a thousand different streams.
We can all see there’s no money from the attendances in the cup and if we do get to the first round the total prize money is just over £18’000 so let’s be under no illusions there’s no money in it till you win that first round game £41’000 but you need to win it has there is nothing for the loser.Doing another partnership now with a memorabilia company “From the club” £30 a pop just for one signed photo of any player now that is grasping, lets hope “From the club” haven’t come to an arrangement where the players can’t sign any more autographs for the fans freely.
They do it’s a business and nothing else.
And perhaps you could volunteer to lick it up.
Apple crumble cheesecake ffs. Who’d have ever thought you’d see that being sponsored.
Start spending some of the sponsorship money starting with the men’s bogs in the Dre like walking through a bog the amount of piss on the floor. And like this government the club have been targeting the Oaps and the kids.
Parents of said kids voted with there feet in the cup.
Pensioners will vote against the government at the first opportunity. What like the increase in the jackpot and weekly lottery draw will come.
Goodwill and looking after the kids will pay back a thousand times more in the long run.
The birthday day messages at best is I’ll thought out not everyone as a birthday during the footie season and the same old same old not every kids parents can afford the £20.Once upon a time there was Junior iron membership for £10 where the kids got numerous benefits and your birthday announced in the programme and online, oh as well as a xmas party which used to go down really well alas this is no more.
Cost more for the club to run than the money it brought in and we can’t be having that can we, all part of reasons we used to win family awards from the EFL obviously to the annoyance of many on here hey Deerey.
Now before anyone else says it was Hilton who stopped it but the club haven’t resurrected it either and from what we’ve all seen of late when it comes to money I doubt will see it return for juniors or seniors for that matter.Always being my belief that the signings have been Turnbulls bar Carlton’s, and the shake up should be giving him his p45.
Just watched the Scarborough equivalent of garth blog (so much better by the way imo) couldn’t believe how much water came up after the ball touched the ground is that normal for a plastic pitch? Didn’t realize it was that bad at the game itself.
Fair play to the lad he could have edited out him going and filming the second half from the home end and then having to return to the side cause all the play was going in the opposite direction, honestly nice to see how much the win meant to them.
Butlers summer signings Cass?Butler inept yesterday didn’t he see their goalie was collecting every corner he was massive, has much as I hate short corners we needed that change yesterday but no we carried on the same all game. Same free kicks every time same just lumping it up to Fishborne once he came on.
What is he doing letting Mussie dictate when and what Fitz can do 3 times in added time fitz looked to the dugout looking for the nod to go forward twice he didn’t let him ( that being Mussie)and he only managed to just get past the halfway line for the free kick, as something different why not let him take that last free kick couldn’t have done any worse. Bit more inventive training ground practice needed just to switch when we’re struggling.
Ps thought the ref was one of the better ones this season, just the last ten seconds he got wrong, warned the goalie early doors about time wasting and soon booked him.1 user thanked author for this post.
The thing was we all knew we’d need the medicine before a ball was kicked, that’s not how we should be feeling. Whitehall misses his first league game and we looked lossed, glad to get in at half time only one down, no one say we look like a team that’s going to win the league at the moment far from it im afraid, though it is a piss poor league.
Scarborough were nothing much but still had the measure of us today, to many chances going a miss not that we had to many today but kougan should have buried his and whoa what was denton thinking trying a first time volley.
Like others say need a couple of fresh bloods in the squad and quickly.
Ps thought Bennett had a good first half made himself an handful to deal with.and why wasn’t their goalie sent off for handling outside the area.1 user thanked author for this post.
If your just going to the game then yes you win hands down Cass.
Quite a number who’ll be there today set off yesterday if you get my drift.
And we’re just about to set off now for today’s game.I read the same rules MK but doesn’t mean they can’t be broken.
Just ask Google Chester v hebburn and Blyth v Bury tickets and it shows they were breaking said rule.Because fans who travel won’t have to get up at silly o’clock to get there, meaning more than wetherspoons pubs will be available to drink in.
If we do sell out and it is a big allocation of 1200 will because fans will be on the lash and lets face it only 1300 turned up the other night so its hardly likely, though I do know many are going on the train like to farsley so you never know.To be honest they don’t normally show biggish teams till the 4th round, the history of what games have been shown is on fanbanter same subject bottom of the page.
The early kickoff for only £2000 TV money should leave most fans happy that they haven’t chose us.Whatever next an MP looking after the interests of their constituents. Our present incumbent didn’t even turn up for an urgent question on steel manufacturing.
Chester and Blyth didn’t charge for under 12s and 10s respectively MK.
And ours and Burys football ground’s. And not forgetting a Steelworks and industry that made virgin steel.
Shows they were bothered with my town.It would be in the government accounts if that be the case MK but it isn’t, the helicopters were paid for from tax money same has government cars.
Don’t think he went to the footie in the helicopters anyway.
Interesting that the premier league gave him the most freebies out of anyone very cheap lobbying imo. That’s why I call him Ian not so Sharp if he didn’t know Swannys history after nine years it beggars belief.
Anyone who went tonight would have seen the lack of children that’s where the issue was totally no need to charge £5 for them.
Only the same as one of our owners saying the money was a loan
