Swanny put money in Wharton’s pockets, don’t know about the club though, seems like any other chairman spends money but will want it back when he leaves one way or another, nothing new!
February 20, 2022 at 12:48 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232363Nah deffo a cod once your past Broughton, and Donny the other side of Keadby bridge, we do do well though to get so many from Barton, we do have a very small catchment area though.
Now that’s going a bit far Dez,I’ve only claimed our fans are the worse not revolting. But glad someone else see’s it as well.

Totally agree if he had only done due diligence on Swann, but then again he got the money back he had invested, better than his other choice of liquidating the club and ending up with nothing,
Never missed an home game in 40yrs BS and am not going start now.😂

February 20, 2022 at 12:14 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232348Waltham is from Brigg so likely to be a codhead, maybe there’s the problem between him and Swann.

Still happening today the hostile stewarding away. Especially Hartlepool and Mansfield this season. We maybe need to pay a bit more and get better quality steward’s lots of clubs employ people who relish their job.
February 19, 2022 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Petition Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Council #232287No it would be embarrassing with less than 1500 signatures.
Hill does speak out of turn though, he’s encouraged fans to turn out in number’s on the back of nothing, glad I wasn’t suckered in.

Probably all our chairman have left a debt Wharton certainly did,but that’s what most clubs do, we’re not special in that way, but you just expect Swann to walk away, why? I am sure non of us would, what big thing have you given away?.
Bury have to pay , and you want a freebie.
I thought I made it clear before BS, I am not bothered either way wether Swann is there or not, I voted with my feet with what is on offer on the pitch and have only been to 2 home game this season so I am hardly a Swann fan.

Like I have said before their going to have a great time and journey, not the one they wanted but at least they have a club again. Wonder how long before we play them again?.
What you trying to say Alcy, have you no faith in scunny fans. Ps they did receive £1 million pound grant from the government leveling up fund, also help from the local council, sure our local council would help out if needs must, after all they’ve always been fully supported of their local team.
You mention straw Pat, You are that “Straw man
No I remember it happing Ironawe2. But of course I used Google to find that photo, the best photo showing virtually all the original site can be found by googling “when Scunthorpe achieved one of their most important victory’s- without even playing” bit of an hollow victory for Swann in the end though I am sure we can all agree on. Well maybe not🤔
Of course your right Pat the photo backs you up doesn’t it.
The question was one improvement, the training pitch was one. No more no less. I know it doesn’t fit with alot of posters narratives but you must get over it.
Please go on Google put in “glanford park the history” you will then see a picture of glanny park before Swanny acquired the land behind that fence, where the trading ground is now. Then you can make your own mind up. But I guess some will never accept it.
Needs knee surgery.
Shite next week as well coke, got to get the 7.08 (no 8.08) our Donny to kings cross isn’t till 9.19 guess we’ll have to have a drink and brekkie in the mallard, never mind, also coming hom getting back an hour late due to the same problems. That we can blame on COVID.

Is it some new kind of tourist attraction coke? Was there any trolley service?
No the land didn’t already belong to the club, oh what a missed opportunity all that land the owners at that time could have bought and leased it out for all the retail outlets that are there now, even the land the other side of the road where Tesco’s is was up for grabs that would have kept the club going with all that rental potential. I do like your simplistic view how to make a training ground though Pat, we just use to use 4 jumpers and heho you had a football pitch, can’t believe swanny spoils them so much.
Swanny acquired the land next to the stadium and turned it into the training ground, there’s your answer Pat, how many other teams have the luxury of training facility that close to the ground with the gym and physio less than 100 meters away, so I think we can all agree that is one improvement that Swann has made.
Railcard?
Alcy doesn’t attend any games home or away Deerey, and I’m sure you understand why I mainly go away.
Should have done better full stop, with their financial superiority they should walk div2.

Just interested that’s all Alcy, will you need to rearrange the toys in your pram? For NL.
