Nice to see players turning down offers from their parent clubs and moving to scunny.
Met the Millwall clockwork orange crew with there sharpened brollies mid week one afternoon (fa cup game 3 day week) LK. one wonders why police couldn’t keep a check of them? they wrecked a cafe that used to be on Donny road, bye the 80s we’d moved onto being a suede heads, crombie, silk hanky in top pocket and of course a multi coloured zig zaggy tank top, cringe. And my 42 old son had nothing poor lad, even as a teenager when we had a bonfire I gave him a banger he lit and through it on the floor the numpty, him and his mates thought it was outrageous that we played pass the banger till it exploded in someone’s hand, at least he’s iron through and through.
We don’t desperately need a new training ground, just the same as we don’t need a new ground but it would be nice in town and all.
Let’s hope we don’t resign Wilcox, he’s left Farsley for another challenge!
Cut your cloth offers more years of dross players, not for me.
Humberside finest (probably lincs police at the time) made everyone take their boots off in the pontoon (70s) had to put them in the little cubby holes underneath most came back with a different pair, 3ft invisible barrier between both sets of fans and just used to kick off every 5 mins or so, Fred Perry in the seventies was the cheaper wear along with Brutus I wore them, those with more money wore Slazenger and Ben Sherman, had my Docs stripped back to bare leather and had them coloured they were the bees knees. Imo. Should be an interesting forum tonight hope someone will post what goes can’t make it myself on mee hols though your probably getting better weather at home than we are.
Quibell park will probably suffice for now.
Don’t forget we need a plot for when the circus comes to town if Hilton is developing the car park at Gp. As aside Deerey never mentioned at the time about top end of Ashby ville just the speedway track area.
You go and pick em up from Gp Deerey and I’ll plant em, mick will provide the man u re he likes a bit of man ure it’s his favorite.

Must have been a long time ago if it was quarried, in the early seventies it was allotments still, they only landfilled round the edges for the industrial and retail units the last to back fill was the Aldi, still plenty of good fruit there if you can be bothered to pick it.
Not now Bishop Stortford are in our lge AA.
Posts like that make this site.
Hilton also to announce Scunny to stay in the national league if Southend are wound up tomorrow, would and should have been Torquay but they’ve done all the prep for Sufc to be in the league so will let us stay up to avoid all the hassle of changing it.
Certainly not Ian and Simon didn’t get their money back.
Transfermarket is not accurate a lot of the time.
That’s where I get my brambles and raspberries from let alone the apples hands off scunny, Should have built there in the first place would have been more of a town football club at least there’d be some proper home pubs.
Bishop Stortford not happy bunnies trying to claim there not northern how dare they! Evidently they can appeal the decision.
I remember Whitehall twas my grandson giving him the finger, Eastleigh put up a tictok video up of him, “someone come and collect your child” suppose he will be my grandsons hero now that’s football for you.
Shame Kidderminster beat Brackley, probably give that one a miss unless it’s the first or last game of the season.
Don’t think he’s made any promises on returning us to the Efl and so be it don’t want anyone to over commit. As for the ground he said he’s sticking by the 1899 offer and doesn’t seem bothered how long it takes to sell them.
Why? Is the team playing?
Most peoples favorite option when we were moving they also looked at Ashby ville speedway area (least favorite) behind the ambulance station on Normandy road, can’t think of any others,
Deffo NI lovely little ground at south shields.
After all the shit that’s been flying around it’s to hope we don’t play at GP next season it would make lots of people happy. Then we can go back to “we want Swanny out” at least there wasn’t as much derision.
I was just stating that it twould be a decent ground in the league we’re in Deerey, nothing more nothing less, bit touchy there.
Come up with a decent explanation for why someone with no affinity to clubs would buy one, then I will apologize Deerey.
Twould be a decent ground for the league we’re in.
Bit of a dumb question there Deerey, why would anyone buy a football club “come on”. His explanation and he did give one in the interview at ilkeston is to save the club and make it sustainable and take all the kudos from doing so, I believe he said leave a legacy as well even though it would cost his family in the long run (can’t be arsed to listen to it again please say if I’ve got it wrong) that’s fair enough in my book, all Swanny wanted to do was build a new ground whether it was at Gainsborough or at Scunny but sadly fell well short, so his legacy is one of abject failure.

Ferrites post is just as anti Hilton as many others. Positives, he took over the club when many thought we were going to fold or go into administration when others walked away, got the whole town buzzing especially with his a signing an hour through a day, got 5000 home fans to turn up for a game 3000 to away matches within 4days , was prepared to dump the academy to save money that could have gone into the first team and finally get rid of Daws, offering season tickets at one of the cheapest in our league even cheaper than some clubs in leagues below.
