It’s just a typical hodge podge of smokescreen meant to distract us from the many serious problems at OUR club, and of course, who caused them.

A bit like distracting kids in a car from seeing an accident by pointing out cows or sheep in a field on the other side of the road.

And yes, we are being treated like kids.

You are just splittings hairs forever-iron, next game is at Rotherham, who will have a better team out than the young lads from Manchester, you cannot make tonight smell like roses, 0-3 at home to make it 16 games without a win!!!!!

At least we are still setting records…of a sort.

Well written and thought out…apart from the lack of enough bottle to blame Swann wholeheartedly.
    I do.

    Always have, always will.

Haven’t any of you got a voice, wouldn’t be happening if I went in and there were so few people in and it was taking so long, raise your voice get angry with them.

And the staff complain to a steward and that’s the end of your experience at the club that day… and maybe for longer?

    Ernie Beckett’s, Market Place, Cleethorpes.

Sam’s Fish Bar, Marsden Drive, Scunny.

I used to rate Carvers but when Rosie sold it to the Cypriots they put prices up by 25-30% and it’s not what it was.
Witness the lack of queues which used to be out of the door.

Another good eat-in is the Wetherby Whaler in Wakefield.

    Careful Steve.
I posed the same question last season, the one before and the one before that.

I got no response from anyone with anything positive, but I did get roundly mocked, insulted and belittled.

If that is true, even given the injuries, it really says it all for Cox.

If he’s any use, gone next season, to star somewhere else.

    It’s the Iron way.

We used to “not stand in the lad’s way”, after discovering a talent.

Now we stifle talent and get rid asap.

Probably just shows we all have different opinions and life would be dull if we didn’t.

If any other supporter takes their time to post their views and marking on a game, then I will certainly take the time to read them.

Me too, I am most grateful for the insight.

I would be perfectly happy to go along with your system, Alcy – it does take out the finer shades but – no matter.
But all marks in a system based on 10 can still be used. I have given a zero to refs three times but have never given anyone a ten . One day …
(Bet you did your fair share of initial agreement trials in your day – didn’t you?)
Not trying to control opinions – rather make sure we understand what we are doing and saying.

I had predicted the zero you awarded. (Spooky, eh?)

    Not at all.🙂
Any other mark for them would be odd😄😄

You can give swann whatever mark you want Alcy, But it’s lesgeo’s thread let’s stick to his suggestion to keep everyone on the same track.

Les started it, I offered an amendment.
Isn’t that what the forum is about? Or does the thread starter’s opinion rule?
If so, I’ve a few more threads up my sleeve which no-one can then be allowed to argue with.
    Good idea Awaywego?

Whilst not wishing to disagree with one so erudite, surely if the marks 1,2,3,9 and 10 aren’t used we might as well use 1-5, with:
5: outstanding, once in a lifetime, game changing,
    4: mom type performance,
    3: average,
    2: below average,
    1: why was he picked?

Can I start by rating the Swanns as a big round zero😅

“There was a lot to like: guts, intelligence, working for each other, good passing. With a few final touches and a reduced injury list – this will not be a relegation side.”

That assumes the “injured” players want to play….
