You can give swann whatever mark you want Alcy, But it’s lesgeo’s thread let’s stick to his suggestion to keep everyone on the same track.

Les started it, I offered an amendment.
Isn’t that what the forum is about? Or does the thread starter’s opinion rule?
If so, I’ve a few more threads up my sleeve which no-one can then be allowed to argue with.
    Good idea Awaywego?

Whilst not wishing to disagree with one so erudite, surely if the marks 1,2,3,9 and 10 aren’t used we might as well use 1-5, with:
5: outstanding, once in a lifetime, game changing,
    4: mom type performance,
    3: average,
    2: below average,
    1: why was he picked?

Can I start by rating the Swanns as a big round zero😅

“There was a lot to like: guts, intelligence, working for each other, good passing. With a few final touches and a reduced injury list – this will not be a relegation side.”

That assumes the “injured” players want to play….

    I’ll say it again:

NOT a football club chairman, a property developer.

    We’re in deep sh*t.

    I think we’ll try once again for a 0-0.
Despite all his promises, it really does seem to be all he knows.

My forecast is for a 2-0 defeat, both goals in the last ten again.

Imagine been near the likes of BS or Alcy or you for that matter, oh what fun that would be. Lots of fans go to support teams and not just sit there.

What an utter turd you are.
Even your written English is sh1te

… the scunny crowd were outstanding creating a brilliant atmosphere the support offered to Pugh and Rory will have given them a lift, give me the young boisterous hooligan fans any day over the likes of BS and Alcy.

What an idiot you are: you have never seen me at a football game, and simply assume I’m as my internet persona.

An apology would be nice but I’ll not expect one.

BS, alcy, and wondergoals, haven’t got it in them to admit to been wrong.

    Oh, the irony.

Been saying Swann would wreck the club since shortly after he arrived.
That he was a property developer not a football club chairman.

I was mocked, insulted and roundly denigrated for my opinion.

The FACT that I have been proved right again and again has seemingly escaped those who disagreed so strongly, as, at this point, I have seen only one person write “perhaps Alcazar was right”, and I have received not one single apology.

So don’t come slavering on here about those who can’t accept they were wrong.

Club finally taking notice of the need to engage fans with a little bit of info/gossip etc?
One must hope that this is the case – mustn’t one?

But at the same time, one shouldn’t hold one’s breath…

Wow how did you some of you survive at old grounds like Saltergate? Such snobbery from football customers.

    Fans not customers!

Pointless comparison. Saltergate’s been closed around a decade and, perhaps you’re not aware, that s***hole wasn’t the home of the Iron? Personally, I always enjoyed my visits there but I wouldn’t have wanted it as my home ground. Many of us are ex-OSG, so we’re quite used to slumming it mate. Nowadays, we should and do expect better. I suppose you think all those complaining on Twitter are wrong too? Nice try, trying to turn this in to a culture war though. What next, anybody who dare complain about on and off the field matters is a ‘snowflake’?

    Another brilliant post.
I take back every detrimental comment I’ve ever made about you and hereby promise no more will be posted.
    I bow to thy greatness.

The absolute state of this. Where is the sense of pride?

    <script async=”” src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js&#8221; charset=”utf-8″></script>

That is nothing short of disgusting, Just completely disgusting.

Swann, if you’ve lost interest to that extent, do what you SAID you would, write off the debts, give us back the ground and land, and just F*ck off.
    As soon as possible mate.
If you really have no shame as to what you have done, there is no hope for this club.

For the sake of all that is good, just go, man, go, and take the useless family with you.
Maybe they can run a pub in Blackpool, because the whole lot of you sure as holy hell can’t run a football club.
    Two tries, two disasters.
    Just get gone.

It’s not that dirty seats, tatty flags and blocked drains are major issues in themselves, it’s the message that, and the general neglect of the stadium, gives out. It’s basically saying ‘I don’t really give a toss about the ground and the supporter experience’. He admitted he hasn’t even been down to have a look. How can you expect people to care if it looks like you don’t? This attitude will permeate through the club, from the top down. Where’s the pride in stewardship gone? Lead by example.

    Superb post.
You have my thanks for putting it so succinctly.

UTI99 i along with most people were used to budgetary constraints at SUFC as they were used to good effect by our previous chairman.
Why has it taken so many years for our current chairman to grasp this?
If he had acted sooner we would still own our own ground etc.

Except that isn’t what he wants

Swann’s answer wasn’t pathetic at all.
It was EXACTLY what anyone who has watched him since he came, should have expected.

If it doesn’t directly impact on him, he’s not bothered one jot.

Witness his comment to the older supporter on the phone in, when the supporter told him he’d not be renewing his season ticket.

Astute businessman? My firm but pliant, as my dad used to quip.

    So….
If Swindon had five players two weeks ago, how did they manage to sign better players than we did in six weeks?

Come on alcy get your head out your arse, the new guy at Swindon will have bunged a lot of money into the squad really quickly whereas we have the lowest budget in the division. Do you spend all day sleeping in that bloody shed, waking up occasionally to post crap for the sake of it? Wake up man.

    Bit harsh.
Unlike some on here i dont have the time (or inclination) to follow the fortunes of every club.
So much so that when England play, I have very little idea as to who the players are, or who their parent clubs are…unless I watch with my youngest.

But don’t let any of that deny you a chance at a rant, or an insult or two.

    [/quo
Don’t worry I wont, you know the position of the club budget wise and you basically rehash the same old tripe to come on here and say the same thing. We get it you want Swann gone along with a few more of us but just do a bit of research before posting the same old bilge and as for the current squad, yes they lack quality but the effort of the team yesterday was commendable compared to last season and over the season they will be better to watch at least from that point of view. To compare a relegated club, however a dire position they were in up until recently, with our threadbare squad backed with the smallest budget in the Football league is just plain stupid, so deal with it because sometimes you get what your stupidity deserves.

    Do my research?

You really are a thick wnaker aren’t you?
Which part of I HAVEN’T TIME are you not understanding?
I’m a 24/7 carer for my paraplegic wife, you tosser.
I have little time and zero inclination to read about the fortunes of any club except the Iron.
    Deal with that.

    Says it all for me.

1v0 up at half time. Perry on for oNeill during second half for a 451 and we see out the match 1v0.
Small number of fans happy with the win but most revert back to complaining!

Correction: we try to sit on a 1-0 lead at home AGAIN, (because this is what Cox does, either because he’s been told to, or it’s all he knows), and end up losing 1-2 to two goals given away in the last ten minutes.

In other words, same as it ever was.

Now you lot know I’m not usually a pessimist, but on this occasion I’m going to say, I’ll believe in no relegation if we are holding our own come Christmas.
If not, let’s say I’ll be unsurprised.
