Same goes for Barton, you’ve always got a lot to say for yourself. Get yourself over to twitter. All you’ll have to do is add Neil’s account and you’ve got a free reign then to question him.

Iron-awe I couldn’t give a toss if you’re convinced or not. All I’m posting here is what Neil Wright has told me on twitter, if you have anything negative to say then go straight to the source.

If you have anything to say, grow some balls and take your clever comments to him. No point in being an arse to me, all I’m doing is passing on what I’ve been told.

If you would like his twitter account then I’ll give you it. By all means add him and call him a bullshiter or whatever else you feel like calling him. I don’t think for one minute you will though.

I think the height of your powers is being a twat on here Iron-Awe.

    P.s
If you would like the chat transcripts sent by him though I’ll cut and paste them. Then as I said above, grow some balls and give him stick if you’re not happy with what he’s been typing to me.

Solihull Moors have one of the better teams at this level and are tipped to go up. A 3 or 4 nil drubbing wouldn’t be a big surprise.

I would enough is enough when we’ve suffered another 4 relegations and we’re playing The Local Dog and Duck with Swannster still at the helm.

There are things learned from last night…

Beestin, Butterfield and Whitehouse are good players in their own right but as shown against Woking they don’t have the athleticism/ mobility to match up against some of the players from this league.

I don’t think you can fault Beestin’s performance last night.

Not sure why I even included Beestin when referring to last night. What I meant to say was Whitehouse and Butterfield are good players in their own right but as shown last night get easily over run and that they’ll only work in a 3 with Beestin.

I knew what I meant but came out wrong. I stand by everything else I said though !

There are things learned from last night…

1: We can’t and will never be able to field a 4/4/2 formation with the current players. Beestin, Butterfield and Whitehouse are good players in their own right but as shown against Woking they don’t have the athleticism/ mobility to match up against some of the players from this league.

2: O’Malley must never find himself LB in a back 4 again this season

3: Taft is a ticking, mistake ridden time bomb

4: Boyce looks like he’s wading through treacle at times

5: Hill is a lunatic and clearly doesn’t 100% know what he’s doing. Players will need clear concise information from the side lines, not a manager chopping and changing umpteen times, who decides to change formations 4 times before the 1st half is even over.

I do have huge doubts about Hill but he’s hamstrung himself with the shitty budget.

Couldn’t support the idea of O’Malley on the left of a MF 3

If we were to play 4/3/3 with Whitehouse, Beestin and Butterfield in CM, then that will be a solid enough base to allow O’Malley enough freedom to bomb down the left and get crosses in but agree with you in that I would much prefer 2 strikers up top.

4/3/1/2 formation would do me and have the width coming from the FB’S. I also understand the frustration with Hill fucking about with the strikers. Why not just stick two up top and have them through the middle and allow the midfielders and full backs to provide the ball ?

What is his fascination on playing Nuttall as a wide, split striker ?. I don’t get it, he’s more of a winger at times. Not quite sure what Hill is trying to do.

Big thing we need to happen is Swann out. Then following that happening, if the crap keeps carrying on then Hill can then follow. The most important thing is Swann moving on. That’s of the utter most importance.

Les, I’d play Daniel at LB for his experience and try Jai Rowe at CB next to Boyce. I don’t really see him as a CB but Taft at times is bordering on comical. I wouldn’t go with Ethan Young at CB because where we are currently will heap far too much pressure on him.

Use Nthle and Daniel as the two Lb options. Strictly use O’Malley as a winger in a 4/3/3 formation. Great going forward but can’t defend, which is never good when you’re at LB !

Have O’Malley and young Lewis as the LW options. Least then at least we’ll fully utilize the squad. I like O’Malley when going forward but I’ll say that defensively he’s right up there with worst LB’s we’ve fielded.

Next to no positional sense, tackling leaves something to be desired and his marking is non existent at times. O’Malley will have enough about him to cover inside for a CM but I wouldn’t put him at LB again.

O’Malley has been here long enough to grasp how to defend and if he still can’t do it then be done with it, play him further forward and play to his strengths. The defensive deficiencies of O’Malley is all the more worse because we’ve got Taft right next to him and he’s shite himself.

The EFL window closes at 23:00 on 1/9/22.

Doubt if we’ll see any new faces before then.

Agree. Those are the players even Hill knows we’ll have to be in for because their present clubs will want them out after not making their respective squads and we’ll hopefully get some bargains.

This is what we’ll have to endure until Swann fucks off.

Seriously need Swann out and some money pumping into the club as were drastically short of players. If new owners do come in, I can’t see them wanting Hill here either.

Hill said towards the end of the month, no doubt to get bargains. Is that down to Hill or the paper thin budget ?. I know Hill is dodgy but there’s other factors at play here, we need Swann out and a bit of money pumping in to the club.

Obviously not as Taft should be sat in the dugout permanently

Who else do we play though ?. Only got Ethan Young.

Hill is all over the place with his decision making but he’s had to play Daniel in attacking position because we have a lack of wide attacking players and Nthle has been injured so he had to play O’Malley at LB.

Telling you now O’Malley is a left winger masquerading as a LB. Boy can’t defend. Taft is shocking as well. Seriously need some players in.

If we are taken over I can’t see Hill hanging around for much longer if this shit carries on.

I’d give him a little time yet. O’Malley can’t keep playing at LB now though. Even after we won against Yeovil, we were always 4 or 5 players short.

Daniel or Nthle for LB with hopefully another CB coming, still a striker short and an attacking wide player… we did already know this though. Hill does seem all over the place though, not quite sure he knows what he’s doing.

O’Malley’s wank. Boyce is slow and ponderous and Taft is Taft. Hill’ s also changed the formation 4 times so not sure what he’s doing either.

Stick O’Malley on the wing because he clearly can’t defend. Desperately need another CB.

The lad can’t be very bright. I’m sure all the various coaches he’s had have told him how to maximise his undoubted ability and he clearly thinks they’re all wrong. What a waste, ability without dedication can only take you so far.

Cleveland Taylor I know did more for us than Adelakun did but he was something similar. I remember Beagrie said with the level of ability he had that he could have gone as far because he saw the ability and talent he had but apart from his time with us did next to nothing.

No doubt some players have a huge amount of ability but just can’t mentally piece it all together to be able to perform consistently on a match day. No lack of effort but something just stops them from performing to their best of their ability.

Lee Hodges another prime example with the talent he had…he should have played much, much higher. I put Hodges problem purely down to alack of application though. Hodges used to like alcohol and partying a bit too much.

I didn’t see the match, just listened to the commentary. But there was apparently two moments where (I think Boyce) left the ball expecting the goalie to come out of his area to collect it.

If the GK is in close proximity fair enough expect him to come out and clear the ball but Dewhurst wasn’t so I don’t know why Boyce didn’t take responsibility and just clear the ball.

I much rather like the see defenders just banging out of play if needed..especially an experienced head like Boyce.

I’ve never understood the “O’Malley is good going forwards” comment

He’s assisted 2 goals hasn’t he via his crosses ?. If a player is a good runner with the ball and he’s a good, accurate crosser, It means they’re good at going forwards.

There is a real player in there. I just think with what he offers he’d be more comfortable further forward and Daniel maybe the safer bet with his experience at LB.

Only telling you what was confirmed to me but whether Neil was lied to, I have no idea. As said above, it all seems a bit weird with the amount of time it’s taking and the now complete silence.

Maybe I did get ahead of myself. I hope not and it does eventually go through….making me awfully nervous though

    odd little rumour

More than a rumour, Neil Wright confirmed it and he has ties to the club board. The test was passed but been nothing since. Not going to lie that the amount of time this is taking is a little suspect.

Funny you mentioned O’Malley, he’s promising going forward and has fantastic delivery in to the box but positionally at times he get’s dragged all over the place and tends to switch off.

There’s a fantastic player in there as he’s got a lot of ability but said last season he’d probably be more comfortable playing out on the wing. I wouldn’t be against putting Daniel at the back in LB slot and try O’Malley LW.

O’Malley’s got a brilliant cross on him, good pace and like to bomb forward when given the chance. Nthle and Daniel could play LB.

Granted O’Malley is much more polished than young Lewis but I get a similar vibe watching Lewis playing LB as I do O’Malley…he’s another one who’s much better going forward.

We lack options out wide at the moment, why not give O’Malley a game or two out wide and see how he does ?

Daniel is a utility player – invaluable at this level. He played up front once and scored 2 don’t forget

No doubting he’ll be valuable due to the fact he’s versatile and can cover when needed. I just rather him not play out on the wing as a first pick, he doesn’t look right out there.

Wilson would be my pick personally for the time being. I’ll give Taft more time but he needs to tighten up sharpish if we’re not to ship goals for fun.

Opening 2 games for Taft and he’s bordering on being a liability already…he seriously needs to wake up

Taft worries me and got caught out several times

Taft was also shaky against Yeovil at times. Definitely need another CB. Daniel doesn’t want to be starting there either, Hill wants to be going with Wilson until we get another wide player in the building.

Daniel’s a LB playing LW and he looks like one too. We need 2 strikers up there as well. If taft keeps playing like he is, I wouldn’t be against giving Ethan Young a go, doubt he’d be any more shaky.

I’d rather we go with 2 strikers from here on in. Only problem is the lack of depth if we start the pair of them. Who would come on as a adequate replacement if one of them was to pull up with an injury, Daniel ?

Definitely need to start 2 up top on Tuesday..much, much better when Carver came on. Wilson did well too. Taft was shaky at times against Yeovil and was shocking again today. Boyce wasn’t great but Taft was dreadful.

Hill said players will be coming in but only when the window for the football league is closing towards the end of the month. No doubt we need another CB. As said before we need another 4 in the building. I don’t think playing a LB in Daniel as a wide player works either.

If Hill set’s up like that again with 2 wide players he needs to play Wilson, least he’s a natural winger.

A reliable rail service nothing to do with football give over, first away game, near to London, loads won’t be there tomorrow who would normally have gone. Everything to do with football without the fans what’s the point?

One or two posts fair enough but hijacking a thread and morphing it into a political debate centring around the rail system is a piss take.

    It’s a bit much.
